Our sale through abode was pretty straight forward with few hiccups which was great, however an invoicing error from Adobe resulted in abode being over paid which has now resulted in us being out of pocket for the best part of 3 weeks. This is very disappointing and damaged the experience we’ve had, very little communication from abode regarding the refund and still nothing received as of yet.

Every single person we had contact with at abode ashbourne were absolutely amazing. Ignored sales enquiries, poor communication

Sent a sales enquiry via Rightmove and followed up with an email a day and a half later. Received an auto response saying they will reply to the enquiry as quick as they can…… well all I can say they must be extremely busy to not be able to answer a quick email within 3 days especially in a depressed/ stagnant market.

I had this company for my recent house…

I had this company for my recent house purchase. The service was poor, the sales progressor never replied to emails, I mean never like after 2 months! It was a nightmare having to communicate with them between me and the seller. The seller once asked to get my email to speak directly but they refused to even ask me due to data protection! It makes no sense as I would have given my consent to avoid using them. If in the Derbyshire area I would try elsewhere if you are wanting a good service that is contactable. The only saving grace was the branch manager was helpful a couple of times when I would complain about the awful service but this didn't seem to prevent it happening again.

Myself and my partner took the decision to buy a property together in September 2021. My partner owned his current property whilst I was renting. We started to look for suitable properties and came across one that we felt was perfect for us. From the first contact with the team at Abode, we knew that we were in good hands. It was quick and easy to organise our first viewing of the property at a time that was convenient for us. The estate agent who showed us around was knowledgeable, friendly and asked us pertinent questions about our own situation. We were so impressed that we decided it made sense for us to market my partner's property with Abode too! This was also a seamless process with the team springing into action and getting the property photographed and put on the market very quickly, with no fuss. They worked around mine and my partner's busy schedules to make sure viewings were arranged at convenient times and were on hand to ensure that the process moved along as quickly as possible. The sales progression team really took charge of all aspects of both the sale of my partner's property and the purchase of our new home. On the day of completion (December 2021), everyone really pulled together to make sure that all parties were kept up to speed to ensure things ran as smoothly as possible. In short, the team at Abode took what could have been an overwhelming and difficult experience and guided us through to make it as stress-free as is possible. If we ever look to move again, we wouldn't hesitate to use Abode and would recommend them to anyone who is buying or selling a property. Thanks again for helping us buy our new home!

Abode staff are brilliant! I have rented through these guys and found it a really easy process, they are informative and helpful,if there are any issues- they are quick to offer help and quick to fix any niggles. I also had a property to sell /rent which the staff were really helpful and accommodating with. Their pricing is fair and the advice given always sound. All the staff show a clear understanding of the property market - so letting / buying/ renting these guys should be your number one choice.

2 weeks ago we took property from this agency. And already first day we started to have problems. 1) last tenants leave for us -30£ on gas and -30£ on electricity however agency gave as code so we can delete them. Ok we deleted eletricity minus but for gas should have different code but they still said its the same. So we just deleted by ourselves , basically we just paid the minus, and then they said u shouldn't pay minus, and how they imagine this, to live in house where is freezing with 2 years old baby, ???we needed wait 10 days when they will sort this problem? ????Because every single problen taking nearly week to fix it. 2) when we moved ,we asked 3x does we have garage for what they said yes, but we haven't got the keys. They where calling couple of times about the keys and still said we gonna have them, and then when they unlocked garage doors 2 days ago and saw its full with stuff and rubbish and seems last time it was opened maybe 2yrs ago they said no u not gonna have garage , its landlord stuff he using it for storage. Whaaat? So why they talked 2 weeks we will have it? They dont know themselves...Wasted our time nothing else. 3) usually when people's moving in propertys if its says property comes unfinished thats mean EMPTY, but in our property was someone's stuff, clothes in wardrobe, matress in our bedroom, full garden with rubbish. So the question is how agency checking properties after tenants?? From tenants asking max clean and good condition houses and big money to move in and what they giving for us?? We asked every day to take away this stuff, every day they promise will sort this out, but still didn't came and didnt collect it?? Are they kidding us? Its really not funny. I dont have space where to keep rubbish from different peoples. Only thing what they sort , they fixed the boiler which was leaking.

It would not have been possible to better the service we received from Abode. George came and took photographs, then called us the following day to say he had found us a potential buyer. One viewing and sold STC even before going live on Abode’s website! Then, during the legal process, Emma’s quick thinking saved us from missing an important deadline. Throughout our sale and purchase Abode gave us sound advice and acted in a professional manner. And all the staff are really nice!

Abode sold my house very quickly, but when the house we were buying fell through at the last minute causing me to lose my buyer they were soon helping me find a new one. No fewer than 8 viewings in two days followed and I was soon back in the position to agree the sale at the same price. The Swiftness of the team to react to the situation ensured i was able to secure a different property and we moved in 8 weeks later!!

We sold and purchased with the Uttoxeter Branch. Quiet honestly Emma, and George are brilliant, offering such a professional, pleasant service. Their local knowledge is absolutely immense. They have the finger on the pulse continually, with regular updates. Our house was sold within 2 weeks. The lovely Sue (Rugeley Branch), was in the back ground, continually chasing solicitors etc... we really felt that we could leave these guys to it, and relax!

Do NOT rent a property with them

Do NOT rent a property with them! Misrepresents the property during the viewing, gives a lot of empty promises about sorting out issues before we arrive. Then during the year, they do not fix anything within the house even though we constantly keep calling/emailing them. Does not return deposits. The worst landlord I ever had to deal with!
