A lovely afternoon viewing properties in Norfolk

Recently, my husband and I were viewing properties in Castle Acre, Norfolk. An excellent young estate agent, by the name of Joseph Fowler, from Sowerbys Kings Lynn, accompanied us. Joe was warm, welcoming, professional, and very knowledgeable about the homes we visited. His enthusiasm for his role was most impressive. The following day, he sent us a detailed email providing additional information about the village itself, as well as expanding answers to questions we had asked during our viewings. Five stars to Sowerbys for providing such a superb staff member to look after us during our search for a new home. Thank you very much.

Despite a somewhat drawn out negotiation and exchange of contracts, Joanna, Hana, James and the team remained calm under pressure, even if at times my nerves were fraying! Having been resident in North Norfolk for several decades we have seen the expansion of SOWERBYS from Max’s early solo start in Burnham Market to its current network of nine offices. It’s therefore clear that this company have a sound and successful formula and provenance. So our final choice of who to trust with the sale of our cottage was very much swayed by this reputation. We have not been disappointed. The sale is now complete and our sincere thanks go to Karen in particular but also to Spencer, Wendy and Simon in the Burnham office and their viewings rep, all of whom have been great! Karen has been the main driving force, steering and negotiating our sale with professionalism and experience. At all times both Karen and her colleagues have been approachable, friendly, responsive and speedy in all their written communications. If a verbal message was left, you knew it would be passed on swiftly and attended to in good speed. Thankfully our sale was relatively trouble free but I’m confident that had the road been rockier, it would have been very well managed with Karen’s expertise. Thank you Sowerby’s!

Property sale

We have just sold a property with Sowerbys. The process was extended due to changes of finance within the chain. The property was sold to a cash buyer with no mortgage, obviously at a discounted rate. This was not the case. A long and meadering process insued with eventual successful completion. Sowerbys acted very professionally during this process and we would use them again to sell future properties within our portfolio. This process needs urgent Goverment review within England, a deal should be made and honoured subject to survey with no recourse from either side. This is the reason we buy the majority of our property in Auction as when the hammer falls the contract is exchanged. dg
