TrustpilotA truly horrible experience
Having spent over six months attempting to purchase a house through this agent I cannot offer any other advise other than to avoid them at all costs. From withholding information which ultimately aided the sale falling through to receiving persistent and aggressive phone calls I simply don't have a good word to say about the Gloucester branch. All three agents that I dealt with were neither knowledgeable or provided satisfactory customer service and on several occasions where tight deadlines were due to be met, they simply turned their email and phone off and ignored it until it was too late. The sale fell through only to see it relisted on the website the same day for a significant amount more with no communication as to if we would be willing to pay the additional beforehand. These agents should be offering advice to sellers around the actual value of their properties as opposed to just appeasing them which is all they seem effective at.With the sale falling through on this property on 24th June we have since exchanged on another property which goes to show it can be done quickly, effectively and professionally; sadly just not when it comes to Taylors.

GoogleAjay and Ankit at Wolverton provide an excellent service. Although I did not end up selling via them, they were very patient during my very long sale, especially as I lost 2 buyers and had to put back on the market 2 times. Thanks guys, if ever I need to use an estate agent again you will be my first choice!

TrustpilotIf I could give a zero I would
If I could give a zero I would. I moved into my flat with the previous tenants belongings still here, including used razors, rubbish in bins, stained cushions, clumps of hair, I could go on. I recieved no genuine compassion or understanding, or compensation. They use a management agency under the name Countrywide.I initially reported signs of damp on viewing the property. A year on (after multiple reports through their portal and emailing direct) they've decided to rip up the floorboards to tackle the damp problem and leave an industrial dehumidifier that I'm expected to run 24/7. 5 Weeks on I'm still living like this with no communication (despite my best efforts) for nearly 3 weeks and no end date specified for the works. They're the worst Estate agency I have ever dealt with through nearly a decade of rentals. They've been utterly useless and made my life hell. Avoid at all costs. They don't care once you've signed the dotted line.

TrustpilotGreat for purchases
While I did not rent a property from this agency, I did purchase a home via them. I had fantastic help from Luke Dumburs and Paul Berkley, based in the Stony Stratford branch, who were fantastic in updating me on the situation; asking me for my decisions regarding the design of the new build property; keeping in contact with the developer; and most of all, sold me what was on the tin.

GoogleOur sale was not the smoothest of processes and ended up taking six months. However I found Ankit incredibly supportive, always willing to take my calls, proactive in chasing down multiple different parties, and always striving to make it happen. Without his tenacity, the sale could well have taken longer or even failed. A stellar service.

TrustpilotAvoid Taylor’s Lettings - Northampton branch
I was using Taylor’s Northampton branch to let my flat on a fully managed service. I would recommend avoiding any sort of service they offer, as it is money wasted. You can not get hold of anyone, as the phones go to voicemail and emails are ignored. I never knew who my property manager was, I don’t think I had one. My flat flooded and I ended up taking over and sorting the repairs, as Taylor’s just were not interested. When I finally got my keys back, I realised some of the remedial works I had paid for had not been done and even when I complained the issue was ignored, they just lied and said the works had been done? Don’t make the same mistake I made forking out monthly fees to a letting agent who does nothing for you or your tenant, there are better agents out there.

TrustpilotThe lack of regard for tenants from…
The lack of regard for tenants from Taylor’s is disgusting, we have had maintenance issues ongoing for 17 months and the latest is the oven door burst and glass shattered everywhere, we have two kids to feed and they don’t give a damn to help and sort issues out. They have the law on their side and we have to keep paying while they sit on their comfy chairs and don’t give a crap about the tenants. We have had 5 property managers in 17 months and they are all talking out of their backsides and them email at 1am to avoid having to deal with the ongoing problems. Don’t trust them, don’t give them you’re hard earned cash to rent from them or even buy from them, they sold this property with Japanese knotweed and they are happy for tenants to live in houses without the basics because they can target the deposit at the end of the tenancy. Don’t use Taylor’s they are con artists. If you speak to Bart, Laura, Teresa or Helen then good luck to you they are pisstakers. Don’t trust them or anyone from this cowboy company.

TrustpilotPoor management of property and enforcement of tenancy obligations
After an initial good start at the Oxford Branch I was horrified to find 8 months into the tenancy that the tenants had not cleaned nor maintained the property or fixtures and fittings. Mid term review quoted in terms of business and as part of full management fee were not carried out. Property inspections carried out on request by someone else who had nothing to do with initial dealings for a further charge. Maintenance of property or the obligations under tenancy given no importance or followed-up. We did all the chasing to find condition of house continuing to fall. Finally told the agency could do nothing to ensure the tenants fulfilled their obligations even with a tenancy agreement and now going through the complaints procedure. Terrible service when things go wrong!

I am disgusted and appalled at the level of customer service I have not received. Emails have been ignored. The phone has been put down on me numerous times due to “faulty lines”. When finally getting through to someone, I was treated like I was a big inconvenience to them. I was not surprised at all when my landlords pulled out and requested that we pay rent directly to them for the foreseeable. The customer service from the Northampton town centre branch is below appalling and all members need a good and through training programme. Disgusting! No internal communication what so ever as everyone I eventually spoke to, I had to explain the situation from the beginning because nobody can be bothered to act like a team and pass on information regarding serious money matters. I will never be using Taylor’s again.

TrustpilotQuick sale and great communication
Buying a house at any time is a stressful event but when adding in the deadlines of making completion prior to stamp duty cuts, you can imagine the pressure everyone is under!Despite the stressful situation, Taylors were able to sell our house within 1 day, find us an ideal buyer and push the process through quickly and efficiently.Vanessa from the Leighton Buzzard branch consistently kept us informed at all stages of the process even without us even having to chase. This communication made a real difference to the outcome of our sale and enabled us to complete on our dream purchase.Cannot thank her enough for making the process as smooth as possible.

TrustpilotCustomer Neglect & Contract should be invalidated
I am very disappointed with the way I was 'tricked' when shown only a part of a contract, hiding small print notes and not disclosing them when a number of specific questions were asked. I believe that a legal document should have been given in advance and allowed to be read fully, rather than only 'waved' in front of my eyes and talked through, choosing and picking which aspects to disclose and which ones to hide. Also, no estate agent had offered that they would come to complete the viewings. I would have no problem vacating the property to ensure that the viewings were completed in line with the government guidance, should this have been offered back then. I had not questioned this before as I thought I had to complete the viewings myself. I only discovered that I was wrong a couple of weeks later, when I went to view other properties myself and discovered that each viewing was carried by an estate agent, not the home owner. This made me question that the estate agent claims a commission fee, but withdraws from carrying their duties. Also, all of the people coming to view our property were not advised by the estate agent to be mindful of the government guidance. Some came without face masks, all came without gloves and had touched door handles and other objects when viewing our house. Again, we were not aware that this should look differently, until we went to complete our viewings, carried by estate agents elsewhere, where no viewing would be allowed without a face mask or gloves. Taylors had neglected us, as customers, and did put my family at risk.

TrustpilotI have sadly been really let down by…
I have sadly been really let down by this agency. I was in the process of buying my first home for about 5 months that due to no fault of my own fell through. Even though I have been promised that I will get my holding deposit refunded from the get go (that I also have in writing) , after 7 weeks I still haven't received a penny. I'm just continuously chasing my Own money week after week. I have been continously ignored by every person in the new homes team from the bottom up, even the menager. I have had to get the Financial Ombudsman Services involved trying to get my own money back. I definitely wouldn't recommend this agency to any one as you will never get a refund (even if they promise one) on your holding deposit and you will be ignored by the new homes team throughout the whole property buying process or the refund process. The worst of them all is definitely Bradley from the new homes team who during the whole 5 months of my purchase process and 2 months of chasing my Own money, hasn't replied to a single email he's been sent either by me or any other person involved in the process. At this point I'm not even sure if he's a real person or they just made him up. Beyond abysmal customer service, beware!

TrustpilotGood, clear advice on selling and setting a market price
Haven't bought or sold a property in 25+ years. Manager Rickie from Stevenage branch came out to value my house and gave me a good briefing on the way to handle the sale, costs involved etc if I choose to go ahead. I felt under no pressure. A good, clear written valuation arrived in the post a couple of days later along with details of a suggested property that they had on offer, that my my requirements to follow on from conversations I'd had earlier. Very satisfactory service and I'd feel happy to go with Taylor's when I decide to proceed.

TrustpilotMisrepresented offers as cash, didn't listen or pay attention expect us to dance like monkeys to make it easier for them
I started selling my grandparents property with Taylors roath, they organised viewings and the problems started. We asked them to call when they were done showing people round so we could come home, they didn't call, half hour after viewings were meant to end, freezing we headed home to see what was up.All lights on, gates opened no sign of agent. We get in, settle, warm up and nearly hour half later I call them to find out whats going on.They say they will let us know in the morning the offers.I check cctv he left half hour early leaving, didn't call so we were out in the cold for a hour longer than needed was pissed.I end up calling them later next day as they never called get told of a 145k offer, a 125k the three 100k offers.... but the 125k one is cash, faster sale no mortgage to worry about so we take 20k loss and go for it as we want to move.Sales progressing and weeks in we get told its not actually a cash offer.... its a Ltd company mortgage still sound they assure us, we have done alot of the paper work, times pressing on we have put a offer on a house which was accepted as we would be cash buyers, that's what we had been told.... so we inform the estate agent we are buying from and they say its fine and we continue bit niffed that we missed out on 20k.During this time they also suprised us with asking for £400 upfront for the house we are buying for "searches" we were NEVER informed before hand of this so thanks for that cause I just have money lying round no wait I did tell them we didn't.Then over a month and half into paperwork for sale of old home and the purchase of our new home nearly complete, our buyer drops out as they don't like thier interest rate. thought this offer was cash then it was supposed a rock solid mortgage.... livid but keep it together. We then have Karl arranging more viewings, he offers Tuesday Wednesday, I say Tuesday partner works from home thats thier day off. He then calls asking for Saturday, said partners working we would have to stay in the house... nooo problem they would just poke thier heads in the room, they start booking in viewers going over the two hours... OK.Then we get a email saying we have to be out of the house for the viewings.. its minus two, we have no where to go and my partner is working from home they know all this.At this point I have lost it, they have made it difficult since day one, misrepresented offers, bought suprised charges and expected us to lose wages to fix thier mess ups. I am fuming. I wish I had never gone with Taylors Roath.

If i could i would have give minus stars.Taylors Northampton- totally incompetent, unprofessional and lacks integrity. They never answer phone calls. Wanted to purchase a property so i arranged viewing for the following weekend but never sent a confirmation of my appointment. When i called for the third time to confirm my appointment they couldnt find my details and the property was sold. They are bunch of crooks, no wonder why their offices are closing and there are thousands of negative reviews.

TrustpilotTaylors, Downend
I don't usually leave bad reviews, but after months of trying to find a landlord that accepts pets, calling agencies after agencies, we finally came across this property with Taylors. Everything described beautifully and finally at the end nothing mentioned about "no pets allowed". Full of hope, we call to make sure about the pet part. We have good references, happy to pay more for rent, happy to give an extra deposit. The answer was a rude' NO' to all our questions. Rude, unhelpful and very abrupt answers and attitude. Absolutely disappointed and disgusting. I don't know how these people still have a job.
