Great experience with brown&merry. Professional, responsive, and made the process smooth from start to finish. Never disappointed in answering queries and arranged a second viewing for us along with the kids, as they wanted to see the house we were buying. Thanks for the wonderful gift box with lots of coupons at the end of the completion. Highly recommend!

Brown & Merry in Watford started off well in trying to sell my house but tailed off badly. They were enthusiastic and created a good pitch and brochure for our 3 bed semi in Silkmill road,Watford plus an open day . An acceptable offer came in quickly but the sale fell through after 4 months. We felt they did not do enough to monitor its progress and their communication was v poor. After it fell through they did nothing at all to create interest so we terminated their contract. Would not recommend. Rightmove have been far better

I had a valuation from Brown & Merry and chose to go with another agent to sell my property as I felt B&M plan for selling was very agressive marketing that I didn't want to engage with. Since then I have had multiple calls to try to get my business. The most recent of which I found very uncomfortable; the woman on the call tried to make out I was stupid for not going with them 'I just don't understand why you wouldn't want more viewings and more offers' and then went through my current listing critising it and trying to sell their marketing plan. To finish the call as she would not listen to me saying I did not want to change my current plan of listing I had to tell her that I found her very abrassive and argumentative and no means no!

Awful company. I went to look at a house they were selling and since then, they’ve called me 4 times trying to get me to sell my house with them. The typical conversation they start with me is - “your house has been on the market a long time. Is there any reason for it?Its a long time don’t you think?” Or “you won’t sell your house with us even if we charge a zero percentage”?. It’s all a scam this is how they get customers and they’re rude with it. I blocked their number and didn’t buy the house they were selling because they were too forceful.

I went to view a property with my family. I had previously spoken to the agent Tayla and provided my details. At the property, we filled in the form to put an offer on the property. Everything seemed to go well! The following afternoon I received a missed call and voicemail from Tayla asking to confirm if we would like to go ahead with an offer. Having that I missed the call, I replied via email confirming the offer and I will be in touch the following day Friday. Come Friday, I called 7 mins after opening hours and advised the agent is on the phone and left my message once again confirming my offer. I called again, she’s on the phone. Called again in the afternoon as I haven’t received a call back nor acknowledgement of my email. To call this time for the gentleman to insensitively tell me they’ve let the property to someone else….. As a women of colour, this is very concerning to be have your offer accepted and unknowingly taken back with no communication. Taking into Considering how they’ve handled the matter, I would not recommend their services or agent.

We asked someone from Brown and Merry to come value our house with the possibility of putting it up for sale with them. We decided on another agent in the end but since giving my name, mobile number and address to Brown and Merry, I've had calls, texts and post through from haart estate agent who admitted on the phone to buying my details off another agent ( it can only be Brown and Merry as the agent we went with only had my husband's details). They've also sold my info to one of these house buying companies who text me constantly! I'm pretty sure that's a GDPR breach. AVOID CONTACTING!!

GoogleWe have recently used Brown & Merry Wendover office to purchase our new property. We were met by Sylvie at the property who we could not fault. Extremely helpful, happy and friendly during the viewings. We were constantly kept informed of what was happening during lockdown and when it finally came to the week of completion it would seem the whole office were very keen to go the extra mile to help. Do not bother booking lettings insurance with them. It is a total nightmare to cancel and they will send you on a wild goose chase to do so. I called insurance directly, they said speak to lettings, they eventually got back to me and gave me an email to cancel with. They responded saying speak to insurance company. Seriously? Full circle. Do yourself a favour and book it yourself.

Sequence rental are possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Overpriced, inept, and seem to totally forget that as a landlord it is me that pays for their service. Tenants did not report a leak that caused my wooden worktops to rot, to replace them will cost nearly £800 but am being told this is fair wear and tear and I can not claim for them to be replaced! Poor service from start to finish.

GoogleKristina and all the team at Wendover have been an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They listen, they remember and give great advice at a time when you need it most. I would have no hesitation in recommending them if you are selling or buying. Kristina handled everything for us from the start and didn’t let us down once which is very rare these days. On the rare days she wasn’t there all the team Jane, Claire etc were up to speed with the latest info on our sale. A job well done.

List bait properties that are no longer available and continually fail to return calls over a number of weeks, despite multiple commitments 'to come right back' when followed up. The Dfferent excuses provided each time. Serious question marks re: the ethics of this place, and that's before we get on to their complete lack of basic professionalism. As a buyer I would not consider buying anywhere listed by this lot, even if I really liked the place... plenty of other professional outfits that do manage basic things like returning calls etc out there. Potential buyers and sellers beware. AVOID.

I cannot recommend Brown and Merry's mortgage services enough! Loren Telford who is the Mortgage services manager helped me with my Buy to let Mortgage and is absolutely brilliant, she knows her job inside out, goes above and beyond to deliver. If it wasn't for Loren, I wouldn't of been able to get this buy to let property that I've just purchased. she's amazing and I highly recommend her services to anyone.

GoogleWithout Eilish at Brown and Merry's this whole journey would have not be possible. She has been incredible from start to finish. Nothing is too much to ask and she knew the answer to every question I gave. Going through the process of buying a house for the first time is meant to be very stressful, not with Eilish as a financial advisor! Very helpful and friendly and would recommend using her to anyone.
