The review is on a house purchase that was facilitated by this Estate Agent. I have to stress that this review is for Sandy Anderson only and not the company. I had a terrible experience with their Swaffham branch not too long ago and think the company is a shambles! However, Sandy has repaired some faith in the system with her excellent customer service. She had great communication throughout in what turned out to be a complex purchase. However, she kept us appraised of any developing situations so we could act in a timely manner. She is very personable and her experience shown through throughout the process. The only thing missing (4 / 5 stars) is a observation for her colleagues. There were times that I left messages for Sandy when she was unavailable but these didn't get relayed. Not a major issue but a bit of work on the internal communication process would have a better customer service overall. Thank you Sandy.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review of Sandy Anderson's excellent customer service. We are sorry to hear about your previous experience with our Swaffham branch, but we are thrilled that Sandy was able to restore your faith in us. We appreciate your feedback on our internal communication process and will work to improve in this area. Sandy's dedication and experience truly shine through in every complex purchase. This is the second property that I have sold through WH Brown in Reepham and I can highly recommend them as a five star team who provide a solid professional service. Bruce from the onset was a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the housing market which proved invaluable. Gemma was a beacon of optimism and light during a very complex and stressful time. Sandy was at the top of her game when it came to closing the deal and always went above and beyond to insure that I was constantly updated. Their support through the whole process was priceless 😊

We must thank William H Browns and especially Sandy Anderson for guiding us through what might have been a very stressful experience, but Sandy was always a calm, kind, polite and efficient voice no matter what the problem or how often we contacted her. Our thanks again to Sandy and Bruce for their help. Trevor and Alison

Well after 7 months we have finally completed. If you’re not in a rush to sell your house, William H Brown are for you. Bruce over sold on our house evaluation back in June last year. We didn’t know this until it had been on the market for approx. 3 months with barely any interest. When queried, we were told people don’t buy houses during the summer holidays and it was quiet. When we asked what we could do, they were very quick to offer the solution of dropping 20k off the asking price. It was arranged that William H Brown would show people round however they were unable to meet potential buyers at suitable times so then asked if I could show them round instead. Not always what you want when you’re expecting your first child and working from home whilst juggling viewings. Once Gemma got involved, this pressure was eased. Gemma was always approachable and honest. Sandy calls on a landline where you can barely hear her and I’d rather not comment on Bruce. Let’s just say he’s a typical salesman. Even to when we dropped off our keys, we were stood for 10 minutes whilst he continued a phone call with who he referenced as his “mate” after being less than professional about a husband. My word of advice - Make sure when you get your evaluation done, you don’t feel pressured into signing a contract with Bruce like we did. See if you can opt out of not being able to use other estate agents or at least remove the fact that you have to pay them an amount if another estate agent does a better job than them. Lastly I’d say, remember you can give them 28 days notice in writing if you’re unhappy. We advertised on Facebook which Sandy liked, we did most of the viewings, we told them what order to put the photos in for more interest and we altered our lives to accommodate them so I think 3 stars is generous but at least it’s finally sold. The ladies are lovely, just the company I wouldn’t use again.

Anne Luby has been amazing from the very beginning. She took the time to arrange regular Teams meetings, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. As a first time buyer, I had absolutely no idea where to start and was a complete novice who felt out of her depth, but Anne guided me through every step of the process.

Sandy and the team at the Reepham branch of William H Brown were extremely helpful and professional in dealing with the sale of my late mother's house. They ensured that everything went as smoothly as possible and kept me informed of progress at every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable estate agent. Thank you Sandy and the rest of the team for your support and help at what was a very difficult time and enabling the whole process to be as stress free as possible.

PLEASE STEER WELL CLEAR!!

Poor communication, false promises from sales, lettings and mortgage services. Started off great but once they've had your money they don't care about resolving any issues. Don't bother with the lifetime membership as you'll have to do all the work yourself. Don't bother with management services for letting a property either, they won't tell you about any problems and they'll let your tenants damage your property and steal from you without any reconciliation measures or compensation. I sold my flat over a year ago and I'm still battling with them and the Zero Deposit scheme to compensate me for my property being stolen and damage that I paid to fix for the new owner out of my own pocket. PLEASE STEER CLEAR, SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!!

As a tenant this is the worst rental agency I've ever dealt with - expected more from such a big name

As a tenant this is the worst rental agent I've ever dealt with. 1) Difficult to get in touch with - they hardly ever answer the phone. 2) The property was dirty when we moved in, no inventory provided. 3) The property was managed by Sequence Ltd who have provided a very disappointing service - early on we were told (via a phone call and after several weeks of us asking) to arrange for repair of a maintenance issue ourselves and that this could be deducted off our rent afterwards, and that the landlord had instructed this. We never received the refund, they said because they didn't have records of that instruction. Several staff members had started then left during our tenancy which didn't help (we were there for 6 months). 4) We are now having to contact Tenancy Deposit Scheme to get our deposit back relating to a different issue, mostly due to our inadequate landlord who it seems is trying to claim a random amount of money anywhere he might get away with it (we left the property in a cleaner state than when we arrived to try to avoid any possible excuses for deduction from deposit). Sequence Ltd doesn't appear to know about or be bothered about the law and tenant's rights.

Ollie Aston flat inspection

This Morning I had Ollie Aston attend my flat for an annual inspection. He was on time as agreed. He took photos for Landlord and was a very pleasant with his customer communication during the visit. I raised a few questions which I hope to hear back. I wish him the success in his employ and rate 5 star service. Overall have dealt with WHB for 6 years always been of a high standard.

I would not trust these people

I would not trust these people, I emailed them to arrange a viewing on a tenanted property, no contact, after a couple of days I called them to arrange a viewing for same property, straight away the sales person tried steering me to another property instead, but I held firm, they said they would get back to me with an appointment, they never did, it’s now sold. They have preferred investors waiting in the background, other sectors would not get away with it.

All I can say is they are shocking

All I can say is they are shocking. They have a brilliant sales pitch to get you hook on using them to sell your property then once you agree the service they provide goes downhill from there. 99% of the viewings are time wasters as they are not vetted before viewing that they are even interested or proceedable to purchase. They promise open house viewing days but have never once done anything like that. Communication is poor and I'm always chasing them for everything. You get sent offers you accept them then they say the buyer has lowered their offer will you accept it.

Just completed on a property I found through this office. I haven’t bought a property for over 30 years but everybody at WH Brown in Reepham made it very easy & we're there to answer any queries I had, the solicitors from their list were very good & made the process straight forward. They were very easy to contact & got answers from the vendors & vendors solicitors. I also loved the completion pack which was a lovely surprise when I collected the keys. I would be happy to recommend WH Brown to anybody thinking about buying or selling a property.

At WHB Reepham everyone works as a team but the star of the show has to go to Sandy Anderson. ⭐️. Nothing was to much trouble. Sandy understands that home buyers & sellers rely on a good estate agent to facilitate a smooth sale. Sandy knows that communication is a vital part of the process. Not only did she make sure that we were kept up to date but she went the extra mile by making sure the everyone involved stayed on top of their game by communicating regularly with seller, purchaser, solicitor and anyone involved. My family and I were moving from the US back to the UK, and our purchase was further complicated by probate. Not a problem for a pro like Sandy. We cannot thank her enough for her expertise, her caring attitude towards her us and her delightful smile. Thank you so much Sandy.

Impeccable Service!

We recently had the pleasure of using William H Brown also known as Sequence as our estate agent during our house purchase, and I cannot speak highly enough of their outstanding service. From the very beginning, Libby our Mortgage Advisor was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs.

Keep pestering me despite house selling months ago

Came to our house for a free valuation before putting it on the market. We went with another agent because we felt William H Brown overvalued our house. We told them as soon as we decided that we wouldn’t be going with them. Since then, they have pretty consistently called me from various offices (local/regional etc) asking to co list with the agent we chose, trying to set up an appt with their in house mortgage advisor, asking if we have found anywhere else, asking how our sale is progressing etc. Our house sold in a week and we had an offer accepted on our new house the following week so we have absolutely no need for any input from William h brown. Yet still, three months later, they call me fortnightly to ask how everything is going, despite me asking them repeatedly to remove my details and any data associated with me. They are dogs with a bone who won’t take no for an answer!

Unprofessional

I dealt with William H brown, Holderness road branch as a tenant. Firstly, they tried to scam me into buying home insurance as an essential requirement of the contract. During the tenancy my landlord was lovely and remained in touch directly, so thankfully I didnt have to deal with them. At the end, I was in huge trouble because WH brown's absolute unprofessionalism. Despite multiple calls and requests they failed to provide references for my next agent. I had no where to go for a week due to this delay. It cost me a fortune! Over a month has lapsed but they have done anything about my deposit. When asked they said to get in touch with the lamdlord directly. Whereas they were the ones processing the deposit collection initially. After sorting it with the landlord myself it was over 2 weeks without any further progress to deposit return. Really a shameful service!! Staff and service all pathetic

Its been 5 years since I moved out of a rented property by William H Brown in St Albans and I have not been refunded my holding deposit. I have contacted them severally over the phone and emails and no luck till date. Nothing but radio silence. First I was told the Landlord would be contacted to claim back the £500 or so left after she dubiously claimed damages on the property. They then later pushed it on me to speak chase the landlord to reach an agreement on obtaining my deposit back. I have used a 2026 date on my review because trustpilot doesnt allow you to go all the way back to 2021.

Avoid WH Brown!

Sold my house through W H Brown and they were the worst estate agent I have ever used. Communication was nil, left messages and they didn’t get back at all. Actually went 5 MONTHS with no contact! Sold my house to first viewer for full asking price so they had very little to do.When I complained to head office, they stated the branch had done nothing wrong! Obviously have low standards. Definitely an estate agent to avoid. No wonder they have a poor reputation

Could not have had better service

Went for a viewing on a bungalow back in the Summer and met a lovely lady called Marina from the Kingsley branch. We didn't like the bungalow but, we did like Marina and we put our house sale in her capable hands. She sold our house within a day I think and everything went really well until 6 weeks later, our buyer lost their buyer. However, about 4 weeks later, our buyer found a new buyer and we all set of again. However, due to solicitors not talking to each other and them being particularly hard to get hold off the last month or so of proceedings was very stressful and just made hard by the solicitors. However, Marina and everyone at William Browns worked so, so, so hard getting solicitors to talk and get things done and eventually, we exchanged and completed last week! The team at Kingsley worked so hard for us and went above and beyond our expectations - Marina was our main contact and I can not speak highly enough of her and would love to thank her for her straight forward talking, her honesty and her absolute dedication when it was actually quite hard work!! Thank you Marina and team ☺️ To have full transparency, the reason I could not give 5 stars was due to the solicitors we used which were recommended by William Browns - they were shocking but that does not detract for the amazing service we received
