Sam Mcgreevy was efficient and helpful from the start. He kept us informed and was very professional as well as being friendly! When we accepted an offer, Tanya West in the legal dept. Took over our transaction. Again we felt looked after and in safe hands. Tanya dealt with the many communications effectively and helped keep the process on track, through to completion! She was helpful and approachable throughout, helping a stressful experience be a little less stressful!

Our journey started with Lawrence, so friendly and totally professional explaining the house market and getting a competitive valuation for us, succeeding in a sale on the first day! Lisa and her team took over the chasing of our very long chain with regular updates, keeping us sain with her positive, thorough updates. Gemma worked so hard with our troubled chain breaking, as we said one step forward two steps back!! But we made it, with the amazing team at Ocean. Having just completed today, the sale of a deceased estate property, with a few complications along the way, and having to contend with very difficult solicitors on the buyers side, I can firmly say I dont think any other agent could have handled and progressed things the way that Ocean did!!Just superb, from start to finish, so professional, sensitive when needed, and always available, we have appreciated it so very much as a family!!Good old fashioned customer service works wonder, and special mention to Melissa Bell, just the absolute best at her job, keeping us informed at every step along the way, we cannot thank you enough!!!The Sheppard/Lloyd family

Myself and my partner recently let a property through Ocean. Amelia dealt with the arrangement of the viewing and what came next after we made an application of the property. She was so so helpful and approachable- we didn’t feel like we couldn’t ask questions and any issues we had she dealt with haste and very professionally. She even managed to organise some furniture for the new unfurnished property through the existing tennats who were getting rid of a few bits which was a great help with our move and made it so much easier. Also a thank you to Will who showed us around the property in great detail! I’d 100% recommend letting through Ocean!

From start to finish the guys at Ocean were amazing I saw several properties in the area before making a choice and Mark was incredible, so knowledgeable about the area, the market and the property it’s self he understood my budget and wish list and found properties to suit! When I found a house I loved and had my offer accepted Tanya the move manager kept me well informed at every point, and was very understanding of the stress of buying a house and took away so much of it. They both get 20/10 in my book!

Ocean Estate Agents were flawless from start to finish. We’ve moved before but this was another level and we were quite out of our depth but they were so calm, friendly and efficient it was always a reassuring phonecall to them which we are incredibly grateful for. Also, it’s a real asset to a company when the whole team are great and communicate so well I’m house. we spoke to Liz quite regularly and she was amazing, nothing was too much and she again, was so efficient. Equally when she was off Lisa picked up where she had left off and was always up to date. Joseph was also amazing and attentive, we can’t thank him enough for being so flexible when it came to us viewing our new home multiple times (and this was a lot of visits - bless him!).We would highly recommend Oceans to all our friends and family and owe a massive thank you to them all for being a huge contributor to sealing the deal on our forever home.

Google50% rent increase, and when I tried to talk to them about it they didn't even acknowledge my email and sent me an eviction notice. They're ripping apart the community in Downend. Edit: Ocean's response is dishonest and I'm surprised they are allowed to say this. All the tenants in my building were given 40-50% rent increases. Some of those people had been in the building for more than 10 years and they were evicted from the property like they didn't matter. After a decade of paying rent on time and looking after the property. Absolutely awful people.
At this time we have been unable to find any record of a tenancy agreement with this name. However, to confirm, a rental agreement, Managed or Let-only property, is with the landlord, not Ocean Lettings. While we advise property owners of up-to-date sales and rental values on request, Ocean does not proactively advise rental increases as a matter of policy. As said, we cannot comment on the communications regarding the landlord's decision to increase rent, we have no record of you, or a property in the Downend (or any) area of Bristol with a 50% increase in rent. Although previous experiences using Ocean have been good, unfortunately our recent purchase has been a lengthy process with a number of errors and several requests for clarification. The legal team were very helpful when communicating by telephone but we found the email system frustrating with many emails saying “out of the office until…..”. There were several members of the team dealing with our purchase which meant the whole process felt rather “messy”.

Move Manager advised me of completion date and to change my booking of my preferred removal company.Even though I questioned the feasibility of this - she insisted that all other people on the chain could make this new date. I changed the date only to be told (very soon after) that it wasn’t feasible and we needed to revert to the original date. My preferred removal company then could not move me as someone else had requested the date. I was forced to use a removal company that I never would have chosen and at a considerably higher cost. The experience on the completion date was not pleasant and I hold Ocean accountable for the stress and illness this resulted in for me. I have raised this as a concern but the manner in which it was dealt with was poor.
Unfortunately, completion dates cannot be confirmed until the legal exchange of contracts takes place. Our highly experienced Move Managers consistently provide this advice to the thousands of sellers we assist each year.We have reviewed and made available the transcripts of communications involving the chain above your sale. Specifically, the advice and requests for moving dates made to Ocean Estate Agents by those estate agents and solicitors involved, and where matters fall beyond our remit. My husband and I have both bought and sold a number of times through Ocean on North Street, Bristol. I have recently sold a property and used Ocean Estate Agents and solicitors. Their customer service is excellent, their online system for gathering information etc is very easy to use, and communication is great. Would always recommend them.
