I have recently purchased my first property. Kelly and her team have been phenomenal throughout the whole process. At a very stressful time, I have felt totally supported throughout and couldn't have asked for better communication. They have managed to complete in just 9 weeks, which has been fantastic. I have already recommended to others and look forward to using them again in the future.

GoogleI and the PofA for Finance were selling my sister's house on her behalf and were both working from distance. The process was seamless with Ocean Estate Agents, and in particular Ella Peacey was exceptionally helpful, efficient and patient with the problems we had due to distance/email etc. She was also very kind and understanding of the sorrow caused by such a situation, and put us in touch with the buyers who were equally sympathetic. This was an extra which will stay with me imagining the new owners in my sister's house. I can find no fault, only praise.PositiveQuality, Value

GoogleJust completed on sale of my flat. It wasn’t a straightforward sale - usual and unusual complications, hold ups and unexpected delays but we got there in the end. Ocean were great from start to finish - but there is one particular person I’d like to mention who was absolutely amazing from the first point of contact. Jordan Gingell was my Move Manager. He is a great communicator, efficient reliable and very very patient! Nothing was too much trouble and he was always honest with me throughout the process. Service when picking up keys was not very welcoming. Asked in a very blunt way if I had the cash for appliances we were buying. Was not very friendly at this point. There was no congrats in buying the property. (Didn't feel special). At the start they were very friendly, but did not like the end when picking up the keys.

First of all the positive: the follow up once a buyer was found was attentive and proactive. Debbie, the move manager, was excellent. However we would never use Ocean Bishopston again as the marketing and pre-sale communication and advice was poor. Response times and accessibility was slow, difficult and somewhat combatative at times. The person we were dealing with did not take well to his opinion being challenged, creating a sense of conflict rather than working for a common goal. But the main issue was that they over-inflated the value, only to advise a reduction in the asking price by £45,000 within 3 weeks of the property coming onto the market. Even in a difficult market this divergence is not what I would expect in terms of quality advice from a local agent that should know their market. We should never have been told, in such uncertain terms, that we could achieve the original asking price “as a minimum, hopefully more” to have it reduced by such a large sum so quickly after the property went onto the market.

Furthermore, each and every seller’s trust and confidence throughout what can sometimes be a protracted and stressful experience is paramount. It is clear on this occasion we have not met our own high standards or yours. For this we apologise unreservedly. Thank you for your feedback regarding your Move manger, she is very happy to have received your positive comments. To your specific point on price, we had anticipated, based on very recent, local comparable sales evidence that this asking price would be achieved and as agreed, it was a price to 'test the market'. However, the market soon after this point had become unpredictable in large part due to varying mortgage rates and importantly consumer confidence. We apologise if this was perhaps an over-optimistic initial asking price. This is in no way common practice, price reduction rates are closely monitored and compared to both local and national averages to ensure we meet our own stringent goal of minimal reductions. Asking prices are always based on the most recent sales evidence along with specific property attributes. None the less, we will never shy from providing best, timely advice. GoogleI am pleased with both Kayla and Jack to get my flat rented out. Their response time is quick and being able to help with queries. I previously had a bad experience with The Letting Game not being able to rent my flat out for 6 weeks. It was worthwhile to switch over to Ocean, Bishopton and would recommend to others.
