TrustpilotDisappointed
Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

TrustpilotMy experience with Hunters was deeply…
My experience with Hunters was deeply disappointing.
Repeated administrative errors relating to notices and tenancy handling caused unnecessary delays, additional time, and avoidable stress during possession proceedings. When I recently contacted the branch again regarding future instructions, I was informed in a dismissive manner that they no longer wished to work with me due to previous disputes, disputes which arose from their own handling failures.
Professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication appear seriously lacking based on my experience!

Trustpilot"Avoid Hunters Property Management
"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

TrustpilotViewed a rental property
Viewed a rental property. I wanted to proceed but then told they wanted to collect more interest and no communication whatsoever.
Absolute shocking service and wouldn't recommend at all.
Thankfully I got no further with my application, well I guess I don't know cause they never come back to me. What a joke!!

GoogleIf shady marketing had a perfect example that would be Hunters' brokering house I bought. The agents did not even do the basic job of removing a pile of rubbish and rubble that the seller left. When I challenged it, they acted too cool and said it's not the seller's responsibility to sell the house in the condition it was marketed. So that's the deal you get with these people.
After a lot of pushback they agreed to sort it with the seller and showed pictures and video calls where the rubbish was hidden. They were so desperate for the completion and misled me to believe that the removals were done properly. In fact even after moving in I called them up to sort it, and funnily enough they acted as if some bizarre event could have happened that the rubbish came out of nowhere, as if an unknown 3rd party could have dropped and they hadn't even noticed it. The head of the branch promised me he'd come back but (un)surprisingly, not a word after.
I sincerely do not recommend them to a buyer. Save yourselves a headache.

Hi Gayathri,
As we discussed when you raised this issue, it is not our job as agents to ensure the house is cleared (even though the sellers had done), as per your solicitors contract houses are offered with 'vacant possession' which your purchase was.
I do recall us having a video call at the property and you confirming that you we're happy with the condition it was in, you then proceeded to authorise the exchange of contracts. If there were items there that you weren't aware of on exchange, completion or from our video call and completion had taken place, as mentioned to you on more than one occasion you should of raised it with your lawyer so they could ask the sellers lawyer to refund you for the clearance. To date we have had no correspondence from you with regard any additional clearance.
Ultimately it is you buying the property, and it is our job to ensure buyers and sellers are updated with what each other are doing, if there are discrepancies within the contract or completion it is for you to raise with your solicitor, and we can assist where we can, but to my knowledge you did none of these things even after me advising you too. If I still can help in someway I will, but the ball was in your court. Thank you, George

Trustpilotlettings fees are very high
For lettings their fees are very expensive. First 3 months of my 450 rent studio flat they took and I did not get anything. When tenant leaves another month will be gone as inventory check is 180 and cleaning in 250 and this is for a studio flat. If i want to cancel the contract i have to pay 900. Stay away.

GoogleFriendly and professional service from the start. We had multiple agents round to value our house, but George from Hunters seemed to be the only one who hadn't already decided what the property was worth before stepping through the front door. A lot of work had been done to the house which George had a genuine understanding of. He has a great knowledge of the local market and his valuation was bang on. Throughout the whole process George and Matt kept us updated and well informed as to how things were progressing which considering the lockdown circumstances, was much appreciated! We have recommended Hunters to many of our friends, one of which has now sold through them also. Great service, brilliant communication and very personable. Would recommend time and time again to anyone selling in South Bristol.

GoogleWe have recently completed a sale of a flat through Hunters Bedminster and couldn't recommend them highly enough. They valued our flat at a price we felt was right and it was photographed and online quickly, with a sale agreed in less than a week. We ended up with quite a complicated/frustrating sale for completely separate reasons, during which George and the team were absolutely brilliant, very prompt responses on every question or query either ourselves or our buyer had. Thank you very much for all your hard work George and team, very much appreciated!

GoogleBought a property through them recently - as always with property deals you are the mercy of the solicitors - but George and his team at Hunters were on it all the time for me - Whenever i had questions or concerns, they got back to me super fast, chased the onward solicitor and seller etc.. Always really responsive, always cheery, and get things moving again.. Can't fault them to on anything - I've dealt with many local estate agents and this ranks up their with the best experiences I've had.

TrustpilotI have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton!
I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. My house sold within 4 days and I was over the moon with the price!Nicole was the shining star for me- she kept in daily contact and was the most reassuring and helpful person every single step of the process. She chased up people when they needed it ensuring the sale moved along at pace. Thank you so much Hunters but especially a massive thank you to Nicole- you have been amazingly!

TrustpilotDisappointed is an understatement..
To say we’re disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If you’re viewing a property with the intent to buy, don’t expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. They’ll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as I’m certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldn’t usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored. We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesn’t appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

TrustpilotHunters are not interested
Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

TrustpilotExpert advice! - Thank you Tom Moorhouse!
Expert advice!
The lovely Tom Moorhouse came to value our house on 22/08/2026.
He gave sound, candid advice which my husband and I are extremely appreciative of.
Although we are not in the position to list our house right now (no fault of Tom's), we'll certainly be back within 12 months.

TrustpilotAwful
Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" £200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

TrustpilotI would completely recommend avoiding…
I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

TrustpilotSales progression team lied and not very professional.
We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

TrustpilotDamaged our house, and we're not even their clients!
Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.
