We sold and bought our houses this year with Symonds and Sampson in Bridport. Though we initially wanted to go with purple bricks to save money, I was impressed with the argument Daniel made for using a local estate agent, and the decision was absolutely the right one. Daniel had people in mind who were looking for a property like ours and he was able to secure a sale for us within two weeks of putting it on the market. The service was speedy and efficient, Isobella marketed it beautifully for us and the whole team were helpful and friendly throughout the process. The team here were rude to us as prospective renters from the moment we first spoke to them on the phone and turned their nose up at us and our circumstances (which are not very unusual or unreasonable), saying the landlord would not be interested (later it turned out they were) and that we shouldn’t even bother with a viewing. They were slow to respond or didn’t and made us feel very unwelcome. I’d suggest landlords look for friendlier representation, as they seem to have a monopoly on rental properties but there are far nicer local teams working on letting contracts.

It was a large property with stables and paddock, it was a difficult time, when interest rates were slowing the market and it was an emotional time for me, following my mother's death.
