GoogleWe had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Amelia and Harriet in the Bridport office of Stags. We all know that buying a property can be one of the most stressful experiences of your life yet these two ladies couldn’t do enough to ease us through the process, always with a sense of humour and a smile. Constantly responsive and articulate, they kept us up to date at all stages of the process and the excitement they showed when we first had our offer accepted and finally when we got the keys, was completely genuine. A shining example of how estate agents should be and we would thoroughly recommend them.

Stags of Yeovil have been brilliant for us. Ashton met us for the property viewing and allowed us space to view it at our on pace and moments where my husband and I could privately discuss our thoughts as we went along and I was very grateful for that. Michelle and I were in regular contact at the office, throughout the experience and she was friendly and helpful, always happy to answer my questions or respond promptly by email. They have all been highly professional and I cannot thank them enough for all the help in getting us to our end goal. Thank you.

Stags estate agents are rude, racist, unprofessional and underhand in ever way they do business! In particular George at the Exeter branch is very unprofessional, we are going legal on them and will hopefully expose some very underhand practices.

Where do I start? They valued our land badly, too short staffed to do anything professionally, didn't even pass on a really good pre-auction offer, uploaded fake bids up to the reserve, forgot to upload the documents in the legal pack and missed the all important Transfer which the buyer then refused to sign. Complete farce and it's probably immoral at best to have two Stags people pretending to bid against each other up to the reserve. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole

I purchased a farm through staggs in 2018, Greg sleeman was excellent, very helpful making it a pleasant experience! I’ve now rented the farm through staggs, I can honestly say Alisha, Emma have been fantastic! Kept me updated throughout, found great tenants, exactly how a professional estate agents should be. I could recommend highly enough.

GoogleTypical rude,uninterested, dodgy estate agents. My dealings have only been by phone or email but my instinct tells me no property is worth buying or selling with an agent like this.

Never have we been treated with such underhand and cruel behaviour. We rented a house via Stags in March 2020. We have just moved out. 3 and a half years of absolute purgatory. Not one single issue was addressed by Stags or the landlords during our tenancy. These included but not limited to: Scolding hot water from day one, Ridiculous electricity bills due to faulty water heating system, 2 Ombudsman cases with electricity suppliers, Property classified as commercial from a supply standpoint, Electricity being delivered to outbuildings not rented to us, Dangerous telegraph pole in the garden, Dangerous internal wiring, just avoided a fire, Falsified EPC rating outside of what is permitted to rent, Fraudulent re classification to a permitted EPC rating with no actual site attendance, currently in the hands of the regulatory body, Water system overheating, leaking and destroying the kitchen ceiling, Kitchen ceiling also falling down due to uninsulated tin roof causing severe damp, Both wood burning stoves needing work that the landlords refused to carry out therefore unusable, 2 working heaters disconnected on instruction of the landlord by his electrician claiming to attend for another reason on a freezing cold day. Hundreds of emails, a site meeting, and even recorded delivery letters all completely ignored by Stags and the landlords. 1 star is far too high a rating.

GoogleOctober 2022. We have just completed the sale of our cottage with Stags and received excellent service. Within the first week we had around 8 viewings and had an offer from one of those which we accepted and completed on. Thanks to all staff within the office that kept us fully informed.

On the hunt for a rental property- applied for one through stags and they made the decision that said property was “too small” for me and my family even though it has a more than adequate amount of space. Refused a viewing and refused to speak any further about the matter. Unprofessional and strange behaviour, rude to deal with on the phone and even though I am absolutely desperate to find a rental home with a good sized budget, I would rather stay where I am than deal with Stags again. Avoid!

Exeter branchTerrible at following up. Viewed a property on a Saturday and did not hear back from them on Monday. I had to phoned them to book a second viewing which was not a big deal.After the second viewing I said I would put an offer in the next day but again never got a call from them. I phoned again to make an offer. Again no big deal.However, I never heard anything from them ever since! Not even an update on whether my offer has been rejected! I found out the property was sold on Rightmove 2 days after I placed my offer. I do not usually leave any reviews but I found this unacceptable. I felt disrespected. I did not even put in a low ball offer. My offer matched the asking! No reason to treat your potential buyer like this. Will never have anything to do with Stags in the future.

I spent, the who of Christmas without heating or running water , I reported a leak on 19th Dec22, when I was promised a plumber the next day , no one turned up, when I rang the Office they had all gone on Christmas leave, Finally on Jan 4th I managed to get hold of some one, the leak was fixed on 7th Jan, I still have no Bathroom as the flooring needs replacing and the work is not finished. I was left to Freeze alone without support, when I challenged the company no reply just brushed off, without an apology. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I’d heard bad things about stage before I rented through them but I’d not realised how bad they would be. I was told (yelled at is more accurate) in November that the severe mould in my flat was my fault and that I should open my windows and get rid of a lot of my stuff! The mould was clearly eternal and was a problem in the rest of the building, I asked the other tenants in the complex what it was like and they had very similar stories. I was yelled at and spoken to with such little decency by them I was shocked. I complained multiple times but nothing was done. They had no emergency numbers should the situation arrive as it did for me when my fuse box blew and the hot water stopped working all in 1 day, as it was a Saturday I had to wait until the Monday to get it fixed. If I could describe this estate agency in a few words they would be - rude, incompetent, unprofessional and awful. I would never recommend to rent or buy through them, I would certainly never do so again. Stay away from them and tell as many people as possible to do the same.
