We had initially reached out to a few agents in Brentwood, but WHB stood out to us. During our first meeting Steven was friendly, professional, and gave us everything we needed. We eventually agreed that it was the wrong time for us to move and that we would start again in a year's time. Steven reached out a year later and without any pressure asked if we would be ready, and we said yes. Ashleigh and Sophia managed viewings and were always professional and gave detailed feedback on our viewers' thoughts. We never chased them as they knew when to get in touch and gave realistic timelines. Ashleigh managed the sales process, once we accepted the offer on our property. She was proactive and consistently updated us with any developments. Ashleigh was always honest, informative, but also empathised with us when we encountered delays or setbacks from the chain. She never pressured us to make any decisions, which we really appreciated. The whole team exceeded our expectations. When it was time to hand in my keys, I entered the office whilst the team was having a good time, mid-song and laughing, which just showed me what a friendly and high-performing team looks like. I would highly recommend them.

Elle has been incredibly helpful in facilitating the letting of my property. After a tenant dropped out at the last minute, Elle had it back in the market within a day and let by the end of the following working day! She has really taken the stress out of the process and I am grateful for her strong communication skills - even when there was nothing update, she has let me know, which I found really useful (rather than just wondering what was going on). I was the winning bidder for the…

I was the winning bidder for the property and, following the auction which ibs iamsold I was taking steps to arrange the required mortgage documentation and obtain my Agreement in Principle (AIP). There was initially some delay because I later became aware that the relevant person was away on holiday. Importantly, the auctioneer instructed me by telephone to wait until I had obtained my AIP before paying the Reservation Fee. I relied on this instruction and understood that I was following the process as advised by the auctioneer. At no point was I informed that my winning bid had been cancelled and was sold .I only became aware of this when I followed up with the agent yesterday and was told that the property had already been offered to the second bidder. I am therefore concerned that the property was offered to another bidder without giving me any prior notice or opportunity to proceed, particularly when I had been following the auctioneer’s specific instruction regarding the Reservation Fee. I acted in good faith throughout the process and relied on the information and instructions provided to me by the auctioneer. I did not withdraw my bid or indicate that I was unwilling or unable to proceed. I feel really frustrated about this , no proper communication.

I would like to make a positive observation about a member of staff at the Brentwood branch. I recently had a tenant with an issue within my property, which i was not able to attend as i do not live locally. Whilst awaiting a contractor, Elle from the local branch was the first person who was able to get to my property and assist the tenant with a burst tap which was extensively flooding our flat. Elle went above and beyond in assisting the tenant, and also contacted some of her family members to assist in cutting off the water, as the contractor was a few hours in attending. Between Elle and the others, they managed to contain the situation until the contractor arrived. I would like to pass on my thanks to Elle, as i know she is solely responsible for the Lettings department in Brentwood, and is very busy, and I am thankful for her help with a stressful matter, and liaising with both myself and the tenant. Thank you.

If you are currently house hunting, we can’t recommend their service highly enough. This review may come across as quite emotional, because it is! We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to Morgan and Jack for all their help. They were so patient with us throughout the whole process. My wife and I just got our first rented apartment in the UK (Brentwood) courtesy of the excellent facilitation by Morgan Rooke and her team, on behalf of the William H. Brown Estate Agency. Morgan Rooke and Jack Summer were fact-based, demonstrated professionalism, respect, a high sense of urgency and empathy in their dealings with us. It is amazing to see that we relocated to the UK in April, and had our accommodation sorted (courtesy Morgan Rooke), within three weeks of reaching out to William H Brown. Avoid like the plague.

We rented our property out with William H Brown managing it in Suffolk. It started fine, tenant was found and all was good, however communication broke down quickly afterwards. When originally signing up with them we didn't know it was all outsourced through 'sequence', if we had known, and read reviews then we would have avoided it at all costs. They were just absolutely atrocious at communication, emails not answered, no clear answers, had to be chased up for everything. They didn't provide the rental factsheet to tenant even after checking with them that they had, this could result in huge fines so glad we checked with the tenant and then did it ourselves. It was also a mission to leave them, 6 months notice (which was in the agreement and with how useless they are they obviously rely on that), all while they were totally incompetent. We now manage the property ourselves and it is so much easier and without all their hidden fees. £100 for a letter etc. Please do not use William H Brown or Sequence in any way to rent your property, the stress caused and total ineptitude is not worth it. There must be better agents out there.

I have just re registered with them…

I have just re registered with them (2nd time) on the back of a complaint due to lack of communication re properties which I had to give them information for type of property required and budget (felt exhausting). Why did this company remove me from their mailing list after 3 years without my consent, it’s unacceptable. There needs to be a more fair and respectful process and they just left me hanging. Also discovered they’re a franchise company so that explains why they treat the public like trash…..need to improve their service for sure…..

Do not use as a Brooker!!

Used as a Brooker for my first mortgage 6 yrs ago. Used them twice on renewals as a life time member - each time paid £99 admin fee (for pratically nothing) plus broker get over £200 from lender for my application. This year, far more clued up and do not use William H Brown as brooker. They charge you £99 fee for what? (Call it admin fee) plus they get money from the lender. already. Use Mojo (excellent) or go directly to your lender (for rate deals) if you have an existing mortgage already. Cuts out all the unnecessary so-called 'admin fee' or what William H Brown call 'life time member'. Disappointed in William H Brown for taking customers naivety for granted.
