FacebookWe had specific requirements for a property and had several viewings booked on Broadway. We rang the Bramhall office and booked a 2nd viewing (describing the property to her)- ringing back at a later stage to confirm the house number for our architect. At this point we realised she had booked us into the house for sale across the road. She got narked with us and inferred we was messing them around!
We eventually (days later than originally booked) got a viewing on the property we actually wanted to view** and put in an offer that was accepted. Alongside the process we paid for and submitted planning applications for the property. Whilst this was running we paid for a full survey and valuation- this came back over £300k overpriced. We then paid for a second surveyor- who confirmed the property was overpriced by that amount. The male agent from the branch that contacted our solicitor was pushy and condescending- he justified the overprice by saying it was an exclusive area and we should have gotten a local surveyor that appreciates and knows the area. He was surprised to find the second surveyor was exactly that. We had offered to meet half way with costings and to be fair it was the seller that refused. That said the response from Snapes in my opinion was arrogant and aggressive and made me lose faith in them.
Thankfully we pulled out of the purchase and found a property that fulfilled all our requirements, at a better location for us and more accurately priced for sale (price confirmed by surveyor).
**we explained to the vendor that we were keen and had in fact booked a 2nd viewing shortly after leaving the first and that they’d booked us in to the house opposite. The vendor said they had also had someone booked in for them that hadn’t booked a viewing for their house.

The maths you talk of, would put your surveys opinion some £200,000 below what we eventually completed the sale at.
Can I share the full figures and statistics for the purpose of full clarity.
Otherwise I can only comment we acheived and another surveyor valued the property £200,000 more than your surveyors opinion.
Again we (and I personally) never want someone to feel badly treated, so sorry you feel like this; however as the male you refer to in the review I only ever spoke with your solicitor and have just spoken to her for clarification, to which she cannot recall almost 2 years on.

GoogleI would definitely recommend snapes estate agents, Sophie helped us from start to finish we sold our property within two weeks of being on the market but it was a difficult onward chain and without Sophie and all at snapes I don’t think we’d have ever moved. It was great to have a friendly voice at the end of the phone throughout the process. We were kept up to date with every movement throughout. If I ever moved again (Not likely) 😂 then we wouldn’t hesitate to use snapes. Thank you guys!

I have sold a few houses in the past and managed the process myself using an online estate agent. This was so much easier and definitely worth saving yourself the stress by getting somebody else to manage.
I felt Snapes were completely transparent with the process, pricing and realistic timescales. Along the way we were constantly kept up to date and was given 1-2-1 service by the one agent. I would highly recommend Snapes, it’s been a journey and we would definitely use again!!!
