Hi Clare, Having read your recent review, I am naturally concerned and disappointed with the comments made within. Following a detailed appraisal of your file, I can confirm our internal notes appear to outline a slightly different view to your own with regards to how events unfolded throughout this transaction. These notes are recorded in real time as matters progress and cannot be amended thereafter. Time is of the essence with any potential purchase, particularly as in this case, when a property proves to be popular. Whilst it is in our interest to put forward any offers to a seller, it is ultimately the seller’s decision and it will usually be based on the amount offered and the purchaser’s buying position. Unfortunately, in this case, your offer was some way off the asking price and the seller has since decided to go with another party. Despite several attempts to contact the seller at the time to discuss your offer, they did not come back to us. This would not have been helped by the level of your offer and whilst I appreciate no response is frustrating, there was little more we could do at the time. As per your comments, my colleagues did make you aware other viewings were taking place and mentioned you could miss out if you did not review your offer. You were therefore given the opportunity to review, prior to the seller accepting another offer. We will continue to keep you fully informed of suitable property as it becomes available.
