With regard to the issue you mentioned after moving in, it’s worth clarifying for readers that as the estate agent acting in the sale, we are responsible for marketing the property and facilitating the transaction between buyer and seller. Matters relating to the construction of the building, snagging items or the 10-year structural warranty sit with the developer and the warranty provider.
This is also why the conveyancing process involves independent solicitors acting for both parties, and why buyers have the opportunity to commission surveys or snagging inspections prior to completion if they wish. These steps are designed to ensure that buyers are fully informed before proceeding.
We do, of course, appreciate you highlighting your experience and we hope the matter with the developer and warranty provider can be resolved.
