GoogleExtremely poor service & very dodgy agents! Me and family were highly interested in a property which was very affordable (cash buyers only) and even from the start the agent who I tried to arrange a viewing was trying to unconvinced me going for it! I have never ever dealt with agency like this , as my family having property business and we have the experience dealing with people who works in that fields!
Numerous times we’ve tried to call the office and ask for information, but only what we’ve received from both gentlemen who works there was promises that they will call us back! At the end, we’ve just put an offer for this exact property and after we were promised again that they will get back to us-nothing which I wasn’t surprised! I even sent my step dad to ask what’s happening and they gave him all sorts of stories in regards of sorting out some documents till the point that I’ve walked in today to be explained that the property is sold!!! I have asked why at least no one let us know and we were given lies for over a month and the answer was : “sorry”, but after I comforted with other agencies and explained the situation, they speculated that they were waiting for the inside person to take it and pass it to the “someone closer/who was arranged to buy it” !!! That was my original suspicion as you won’t believe how obvious and hard they both tried to avoid every contact and gave us different stories (which as I said , I haven’t seen from any other property agent before) overall very dodgy people, who have the future and dreams of young families in their hands ! I wonder if someone authority can check them out as I won’t be surprised if some kind of a scam might be found!

Dear Madam,
I met with you yesterday and tried to explain the situation to you and as you have chosen to make such baseless comments about our agency, I will reply.
The property you are referring to is an ex-local authority apartment located within an ex-council high rise building. The property is being handled through a re-location company that require details of all offers in writing with both proof of funds and an extensive 'Customer Due Diligence' form that would require completing. As you are aware the property was being marketed at offers in excess of £120,000. We informed you at the time that we had received several offers much higher than £120,000. Our standard practice is that we require all offers in writing with various proof of funding and situation etc. We do not have any correspondence email from a person of your name or similar and if you do have an email you can confirm was sent to our office then please supply me with this evidence as i would then be able to investigate the matter further. I believe all of our correspondance would have been by telephone where you would have been told that an offer of £120,000 would not have been accepted. You would have had the option to increase your offer but I can only assume you chose not too. We are sorry your offer was not acceptable but you must accept we are duty bound and take great pride in securing the very best prices for our clients. We are a well established Estate Agency who have been serving the public for over 25 years and have been instrumental in securing record prices for our clients. Unfortunately there have been several instances of disappointed buyer who were simply outbid in the selling process. Whilst we have every sympathy for your situation, it does sound somewhat absurd to be called 'Dodgy' for simply selling homes at the highest possible price. if I'm correct in trying to understand your other accusation, it appears you are suggesting an 'insider' has bought the property. I would be more than happy to ask the owners of the property to contact you to in order to prove to you the buyer's of the property are in no way associated with Carrington Estate Agents. We adhere to very strict laws governed by the estate Agency Act whereby we would have to disclose any such association. We wish you every success in your search for a new home and please in future perhaps gather all the facts before making such scandalous and false accusations. We wish you well.

I totally understand your disappointment but I do believe your comments should be aimed at the landlord and not Carrington Estate agents. We acted in good faith after assurances from our client that he would indeed accept you as a suitable tenant. Stevie carried out his duties in immediately arranging the referencing procedures which, as you were informed, were successful. We were just as annoyed and surprised that the landlord after verbally agreeing your move decided to rent the property through another Estate Agent in London. We expressed our disappointment to the landlord and we also suggested that his actions would cause substantial disappointment to you. He offered little by way of an excuse and we even went as far as asking him not to ever contact us again as we found his actions and decisions totally unfair. He at no stage had mentioned another Agent had been instructed and surely it seems unfair to blame Stevie for the action of an unscrupulous Landlord. Stevie immediately offered you alternative options and naturally we are willing to do everything we can to find you suitable accommodation. These agents can ruin young families dreams and normal people’s saving as the way they dealing with some affordable properties they apparently tried to avoid anyone who wants to put offer on it ,but instead try to stretch the period of time giving you some stories and avoiding any contacts till you find out that the property you want is sold out ,god knows to who closer to them as they know the offer is way too good to be passed to the ordinary people! Walking in a such a thin line! I won’t be surprised if they have go under some checks and this agents are found to do some very dodgy businesses Don’t invest money, dreams and time with that exact agency I am not the only disappointed person from them! Plenty of bad feedbacks from other customers too
