17 years ago we bought our house from John and this month we sold our home with John & his family team. We were very happy with the communication right from the start. We received emails confirming viewings and follow up calls with feedback from Amanda. Lara did a great job on the visuals to make sure we got our property marketed to its potential, including coming back to retake some shots when the weather was better. The pricing was spot on (unlike another Estate Agent who recommended we put the house on the market significantly lower and who made a point that they sold properties quickly .. well of course they would !). We were also very happy with the way John kept us up to date on the whole exchange & completion part of the process, he was in touch with the buyers and our solicitors regularly. THANK YOU!

We can now say we have used the services of John Wadsworth Estate agents for selling (and buying albeit about 20 years ago). Our personal experience is one of great professionalism, diplomacy, genuinely nice people to deal with. As with many properties i'm sure, we had a couple of issues that came along with the sale of our property. These were dealt with by Lara, John and Amanda with ease. The attentiveness is something that sticks in my mind, always kept up to speed with any movement, however small it may be. To me that's important, good communication is key. I sent a website enquiry and was contacted literally immediately and an appointment made the next day. The following morning I had the energy survey done, a walk through video and all details and photographs taken. One day later the viewings commenced ... after 3 days of viewings, which were all hosted by Lara, I had several full price offers. Lara personally checked every offer out thoroughly establishing who had a chain and what positions everyone was in. This was all 4 days before Christmas during a pandemic. Windows and internal doors were left open and Lara sanitised every surface touched. I would not hesitate to recommend this local, family run business of 25 years to anyone hoping to sell their home. John, Amanda and Lara are quite frankly a brilliant team who have kept me informed throughout the whole legal process. I complete 8 weeks later .... thank you Team Wadsworth.

After my brother-in-law moved into a nursing home in August last year, I had to arrange to sell his house fairly urgently. Thanks to John, Amanda and Laura things went very smoothly and, while it took some time due to the state of the market, I was always kept in the picture as to progress. Completing the sale involved a number of jobs outside of the usual, which, as I live some way from Bookham, were difficult for me to do. I asked for John's help and he handled these without any problems. He then kept on top of completion and exchange, despite having to work from home, due to the' lockdown'. I couldn't have asked for better service and would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone buying or selling in the area.

When our Mother passed away in Jan '19, we ask John Wadsworth to sell her house. Since Bookham is such a small friendly place, John knew our Mum just from seeing her walking from her house up to the café (her social club!), and always stopped for a quick chat. John and Amanda gave us a very professional service, helped with a lot of advice on selling the house, and achieved a fair price in a fairly flat market. We had a chat with two agents prior to the sale. Both were recommended by local friends. John was realistic with our options and was very much the gentleman, rather than the pushy salesman. He suggested two excellent tradesmen to help us prepare for the sale and I guess having a good list of potential buyers in place was able to get a good buyer around as soon as we were ready to go. We have recently purchased a property in Westhumble, Dorking using John Wadsworth Estate Agents, Bookham. We were initially introduced to them via Rightmove following a property search. The property which we initially viewed and wanted to make an offer on was snapped up almost immediately and we were left disappointed as we couldn't act quickly due to a linked sale and purchase. We started to lose faith in selling our property and then unbelievably on the very same day that we accepted an offer on our property the one we initially wanted became re- available due to a dropped sale!!! We were thrilled. After a quick phone call to John Wadsworth; we beat them to it by a minute... we arranged another viewing and made an offer which was readily accepted. Both John and Amanda Wadsworth made the whole transaction very easy and were always on hand to offer advice and assistance. Communication was excellent throughout between all parties. Their friendly, open and genuine service made them a pleasure to deal with and we would have no hesitation in either using them again or highly recommending them to others. A job very well done. Look no further than Wadsworths if you want to buy or sell a house. We have finally just exchanged contracts on a long drawn out sale that just would not have happened without John Wadsworth steering the ship. Throughout the whole process, John & Amanda were extremely proactive and kept us fully informed at all times. Whilst extremely professional as one would expect, they are also really nice people to deal with. I have moved house 7 times in my life so far and have never before felt motivated to submit a review. Wadsworths have more than exceeded my expectations on this occasion though.
