Ambience Development Strata Homes.

We started looking at the Ambience site for Strata in Linton around November and instantly fell in love with the show homes in which they have one being the 'Copenhagen' which i remember walking around and looking at the standard of finish and saying to my Fiance that i would love to live in a house like this, as at the time we never thought we would be able to buy a house like it. After speaking to the sales adviser we found out that we actually could buy. Being within the construction industry myself there are not many developers in which i would buy my family home from, however the layout of the Strata house types are very spacious and the finish is to a very high standard. We have not been the easiest customers to deal with as we did the assisted sale through Strata, where the sale of our previous house fell through 4 times, Strata have been extremely patient and have not demanded anything from us which made us feel like we are valued as customers and not just after the money like a lot of other developers are. The team at the Part Ex Hub (Debbie and Melanie) have both been great and helped us along the way and have gave us lots of time to sell our house even though i can imagine their bosses have been screaming and shouting to get the sale across the line. We didn't get off to the greatest start with the sales advisers in which we were originally dealing with and I got to the point that i wanted to pull out the purchase, however Strata changed the sale advisers to a lady called Charlotte whom i cannot express enough how good she has been and how helpful she has been since we have been dealing with her she has completely turned the experience round. We had received regular updates on the progress of the build and regular communication just to keep us updated which from a buyers point of view is fantastic, she has also taken her work phone home on many occasions to help deal with us, which she didn't have to do. I would highly rate Charlotte as a Sales Adviser and is a credit to Strata Homes. Even after moving in to the house she is always waving and we feel like she is part of the family, so we will miss her when she has to move to her next site. The house is built to a very high standard and the Site Manager (Tom) has been great and popped round to the house a number of times since we have been in to make sure that we are settling in ok. Being in the industry i expected to pick up a fair amount of snags however I think there is a maximum of 6 which are items in which the site team would struggle to find without living in the house themselves. On speaking to the neighbours they also are impressed with the high standard of finish which given my experience is a true reflection of the quality of the Site Manager. Strata on a whole seem like a very dynamic company and very well organised. The solicitors they recommended (Taylor Bracewell) have been very easy to use in comparison to other solicitors i have used in the past i have seen on here a couple reviews of the Strata solicitors being poor but for us this definitely wasn't the case and the lady with dealt with (Emily) has been fantastic and i would highly recommend her, she managed to get our buyers solicitors to exchange quickly and made the process very straight forward for me, as i am extremely busy with work. In summary everyone I have dealt with (with the exception of the first sales advisers) has excelled our exceptions and have gone above and beyond, I would highly recommend Strata Ambience and Charlotte, Tom, Debbie and Melanie they have all contributed in getting us our forever home.

From the moment we walked into the…

From the moment we walked into the sales office we we're sold! Not only are the houses stunning, they are also very well built. After looking at many show homes Strata stood out from the rest!. From start to finish the service was amazing, from the sales team to the builders to the exceptional site manager, they made the journey perfect. We are nearly at the 2 year mark since moving in, we've had very few issues, realistically issues are expected when buying a new house but i think even this has impressed us. We have and will continue to recommend Strata to all of our friends and family.

My stratastorygonewrong I reserved a show home as soon as the development started and waited 18 months with a reserve deposit to buy our dream home. When the price was released it seemed a mad rush to sell it despite it not being ready to move into for 9 months. I found the customer service terrible with no regard for my circumstances. I was on holiday and asked for more time and the reply was its back on the open market! I was left feeling like they didn't want to sell to me. The company tag is my stratastory but mine was dropped with no remorse. Yes I did ask a lot of questions but these were unwelcome.

Strata Ambience - excellent!

After our experience at Strata Ambience we would 100% recommend this developer to any buyers! We have had great customer service from the day we first viewed the show home and nothing has been too much trouble for our sales manager Charlotte. Despite building work still going ahead, the site is tidy and clean and the noise is actually very little despite having builders on site. The site manager, Tom Rimmington, has been fantastic and was at our house within 30 minutes when we reported a minor issue. Both our sales procedure and aftercare have been 100%. We were initially undecided on new build homes, however once we saw the development we fell in love with the site and the quality of the homes. Strata homes would be top of the list if we ever looked at moving in the future.

Impeccable and extra-ordinary after sales service.

Chris OkwegwaI will recommend Strata everyday all day because their customer service is impeccable and their after sales service is extra-ordinary. from the day I first view the house I wanted to buy till months after I moved in, we were still getting calls from the site manager (Ryan) to find out how we were settling in and also if there are any problems/issues we want them to help resolve.To be honest there are times we have asked for stuffs that ordinary you won't expect the site team to help resolve but they have gone out of their way to satisfy us.Our home is excellent, no reservations or anything to complain about, 100% I will recommend Strata homes.Chris Okwegwa

Lovely second hand Strata Home

We have just moved to The Mistral development off Ollerton Road in Retford three weeks ago, this is not a new development but was developed around 2013.The house is really well built and of good quality, even the ceilings seem higher than most new builds.We are very pleased with our secondhand Strata home, only very slight bugbear is that a lot of the door handles are loose and the doors not good quality so we will have to replace the doors as given advice that the door handles cant be corrected. Neighbours tell me this is a common problem on this particular development.

Fantastic!!

Julie the project manager on the Destiny site has been so helpful and welcoming when we visited the office. She has made the process of buying our dream family home very easy and I know that if I nip there with a question or to have another look around the show home I am always welcomed. Also Ellie the design manager was so helpful when we picked out our fixtures and we had the best time doing so! We are happy with the choices me made!

A very unhappy buyer

I have been in my home now since September and what was to be my wife and my dream home is becoming a nightmare. Not long after moving in it became apparent there was a severe drainage issue in the gardens, some 5 months since they first looked at it I am still being passed from pillar to post. I have got outstanding issues inside the property which were not addressed fully prior to handover to customer services and all I get from the site team now is “ nothing to do with us call service team “ They are a great company at buttering you up but once your in a few weeks you drop straight to the bottom of the list and may aswell not exist. I am now looking at the legal option or contacting the NHBC for resolution.

Our experience of buying a house with Strata has been fabulous.We have purchased a property on the attitude site in Castleford Karen Cole our customer experience manager is so lovely and helped with every detail. Can’t help but give anything other than 5 stars I’d give more if I could. Julie furr is fantastic. To say she got chucked in the deep end with us and helped us with anything we asked her to. She was assigned to us half way through our deposit process. She got us so many extras as first time buyers. She’s so patient and friendly very welcoming. She’s been nothing but amazing. During the process of choosing our extras and our kitchen selection amongst other things, which I can understand can be quite stressful, she made it anything but. She waited so patiently whilst we decided and went back and forth to show homes to make our choice she helped us decide when we couldn’t make the final choice she was very honest and decisive. she helped talk us through how things would look and what would go with what. Don't even have a house number yet!

I had previously given Strata 5 stars; that was before I had moved in and experienced their aftercare.Don't get me wrong, my wife and I love the house but the process of getting our snags closed out is ridiculous.I handed over my snag list, a week prior to moving in, that I had produced to get the majority of snags completed. It is now 16 weeks later and the majority of snags are still yet to be complete. Obviously we have come across more snags as we have been living in the house and added them to the list.I received an email last week regarding the snags and was told that Strata had booked in their maintenance team in for 28th March!!! A whole 23 weeks after I gave the original snag list!Strata were brilliant at getting us in to the house but once they got our money we were forgotten about.

Strata have made our move very easy

Strata have made our move very easy. We decided to go for the help to buy scheme, they helped us with a financial advisor, who by the way got us an amazing deal. Also they provided our solicitor who went above and beyond their job to get us moved as smoothly as was possible. Even after we moved in any problems we have had, has been sorted within a couple of days. Couldn't of chosen a better housing developer. The house is amazing

The general quality is good however

The general quality is good however, the finishing touches and making sure things are as they should be prior to moving in are poor.Paint spatters everywhere, Lucozade bottles found abandoned under the kitchen units, radiators not attached, cracks in numerous panes of glass, skirting boards not finished off properly, chips in taps, chips in doors, tile cracks to name a few. Most have (eventually) been sorted out but as they were such obvious things, they should have been sorted before moving in. As such the time taken to sort all these items up has been significant. Quality control needs to improve.
