We recently sold our holiday home with Jackson Stops Cornwall. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent than Dan. Selling our property was quite a journey and he was brilliant throughout. He went above and beyond for us, was persistent when he needed to be and kept everything moving and on track. He was always approachable, patient, reassuring and honest. No matter what cropped up, he was always at the end of the phone and made the whole process feel so much easier. By the end of it, Dan genuinely felt more like a friend than our estate agent! He really does care and we’re so grateful for all the help and support he gave us throughout. Couldn’t recommend Dan and Jackson Stops enough. Thank you for everything Dan 😊

Best estate agents experience ever!

Jackson-Stops have recently sold our house for us and we downsized to a bungalow, also through them. They were so helpful every step of the way. We dealt with Rebecca, Chris and in the later stages Pip who helped us by chasing solicitors and ensuring the process worked as it should, after our solicitors closed their local office and enabling us to sign and have our contracts witnessed in their Reigate office. A fantastic team of people, highly recommended!

We sold our house through the Jackson-Stops, Bury St Edmunds office. We knew the staff there from the original purchase of the property and were so pleased with that experience that we chose them for the recent sale. The team in Bury St Edmunds were effective from day one. The marketing material was well thought out and very professional. The task of showing potential purchasers around the house, answering their questions and working with us to keep them well informed worked very well. As exchange and, ultimately, completion days came and went, the team shifted up a gear and it all happened in a blink of an eye. Working with Jackson-Stops was a pleasure, a 5-star experience. We had an incredibly positive experience selling our home through Jackson-Stops Northampton. We couldn’t fault the service we received, from the initial valuation right through to completion. We priced our home competitively and secured multiple offers within a couple of weeks, achieving the guide price. Sadly, we lost our buyer a few weeks later, but we went back to market and, once again, achieved the guide price within just a few days. Sadie on reception was always incredibly helpful and efficient, particularly when arranging viewings and providing us with feedback. Ian Denton handled our sale, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. He was professional, proactive and went above and beyond throughout the process. We were buying an onward property through a different agent and, unfortunately, had a very poor experience with a lack of communication and proactivity. Ian was instrumental in helping to keep our onward purchase on track, regularly chasing the solicitors involved as well as our onward agent when necessary. An honest, professional and genuinely helpful agency. We would thoroughly recommend Jackson-Stops to anyone looking to sell their home.

Poor service

Asked to view a property on Bures Road and was told I had to provide proof of funds before even being allowed a viewing. I understand proof of funds is needed at offer stage but demanding it just to view a house is unnecessary and comes across as rude and intrusive; the tone felt more like an interrogation. And for clarity, questioning an asking price is not the same as being unable to afford a property. In a previous transaction, we declined to overpay for a house we did not believe was worth its asking price, and it later sold for significantly less. That is a valuation judgement (a mistake by the same agent), not a funding issue. In any case, the interaction felt dismissive, rather than professional. Plenty of other agents manage to handle high-value properties professionally without treating potential buyers like time wasters. So choosing to take my business elsewhere.

Jackson-Stops, Cranbrook Branch recently sold my house. They were brilliant, helpful and great with communication which is rare these days. Rachel with whom I dealt with was lovely, so friendly and so patient with all the endless calls I made. They say selling your home is one of the most stressful things you can go through. Its no easy ride but I can only say that Jackson-Stops made it as easy and calm as it could be. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you live in Kent and you want to sell your house, they are your go to agent. Brilliant. If Trustpilot had 10 stars to hand out, then that is what I would give Alastair and his great team in Cranbrook.

Wouldn’t recommend!

Wouldn’t recommend! I have raised several concerns about one of their tenants, to Helen & the MD but nothing has been done. Emails are ignored or replied to months later with inadequate excuses, since they moved in in December 2025! I am writing this review at 4 am, having been kept up until 11 pm with the 8 year old child screaming like a banshee again and now being woken up with him banging around the house! I have lived at my property for four years, and the last year has been a total nightmare!

Patronising and dishonest

I initially approached this company after viewing a property they were marketing and considering making an offer. However, I was told they wouldn’t take on my own property as it was “outside their remit.” This didn’t appear accurate, as I’ve since seen them advertise several similar properties in my local area, both in size and value. When I challenged this, they reluctantly agreed to proceed. Unfortunately, their overall manner came across as rude, patronising, and unprofessional, which did not inspire confidence. As a result, I decided to instruct another estate agent.

Decent Letting Agent.

Everything went well and communication was good. They were also helpful when we wanted a second viewing. The downside was our landlord was hounded during the referencing process, even when we were promised they would not be contacted if we allowed the open banking. This resulted in our landlord discovering we’re leaving before we had a chance to tell them. Aside from that, it was a pleasant experience. We dealt with Eloisa in the Weybridge office and Loren for any letting problems - both are engaging and are fast to respond.
