So I placed my house on the market with another agent- get a knock on the door from Amanda from Leicester branch saying she has a few people who are interested in the property and only this property signed up with them multi boarding and got literally 5 people through the door who I had to show around myself and not had a clue about the house and wasted my time. Left with them and sold with my original agent - AVOID time wasters!!!

We used them via Persimmons home exchange. The initial valuation and communication with them was great as they want to get your custom. They were meant to phone us/ email about our house listing so we could proof read it before it was put on the market. They listed our house as leasehold and made up information about this lease.. The property is freehold.. 🙄 we contacted them about this and they said it takes a week to amend it on the website. 2 weeks later it is still currently listed wrong.Anyway, this probably lost us quite a few potential buyers but luckily we also had our house listed with a local estate agent who marketed our house correctly and we sold within a week with them!

I was a prospective tenant for one of the properties listed with them. They cancelled a viewing 2 hrs before the appointment saying the house was having 'some work done'. We rebooked the viewing for 2 days later and I called on the day of the viewing to confirm some details about the property. It was only then that I was informed that the property was not available. They had not bothered to contact me to cancel the viewing (was meant to happen in less than 2 hours). They did not apologise and were actually quite rude. I don't trust them at all and wouldn't be surprised if the information I was given was untrue. I would not recommend them!

The worst agency I had to deal with very disappointed and I would not recommend it to anyone!The letting agent Lauren Galway’s very rude and discriminating person!she asked me about my share code three times and than after that asked me for a BRP card!after giving her everything at the very end she said that we can’t have the very deposit option!Never ever I’ve been treated like that in this country

This agency performed a sales and rental valuation at my property. After the total renovation of my house was estimated at £1,600 per month as renting price. Using any website that rents houses in my area the monthly price is around £2,000 in lower standards. The hours in which you can receive apointments are between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. When I asked about later hours, I received the answer that I had to take a day off from work. The agent was very young and his behavior was unpleasant.I must add that I had a total of four agents. I received quotes of £2000 pm or more from three of them.

The option for 0 stars is not possible. Absolutely appalling service (Oadby, Leicester branch). They took my son’s deposit on a rental property, having told him he could collect the keys that morning. Once the deposit had been paid and contract signed, he was told (despite earning £45k p/an and a good credit rating) he needed a guarantor for which my husband and I agreed. It took them 3 days to process the information we submitted before my son was offered an alternative home by a friend. He hasn’t received an apology, he and we, were treated with utter contempt by staff that clearly had no life experience/skills. He still has not received a refund and they have not responded to my email/calls to advise they will destroy our personal details from their records. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THIS COMPANY.

Don't expect anyone to pick up the phone if you have a query. Once you manage to find someone who accidently does they will refuse to give escalation Manager details. Don't expect them to adequately staff their offices. Even their Area Managers follow the same corporate line of hiding who their Manager is to avoid them finding out what a poor service they provide. DO NOT USE THEM.

Coventry branch... I found a member of your staff extremely unhelpful and rude. You can find out who this is by pulling my details and who I've spoken to (if you care?) Two rightmove enquiries and promised calls back with info. I I had to chase twice.To be told rent is "about 900" - when your selling an investment property how can you possibly not have that information and expect landlords to make a decision?The it turns out when you check its £750....It's super unprofessional and I would not be satisfied if I was the homeowner that you are not following up viewing enquiries and that you are not able to give basic info on propertiesFeel free to pull calls with me and listen to how I was handled and how your staff are treating customers.No longer want to view!!! From your Coventry branch.

I personally cannot recommend highly enough the Connell’s office on The Broadway , Plymouth. Firstly Cameron valued our property spot on. If I had listened to his competitors on The Broadway I would have been tens of thousands out of pocket. On top of all this the staff our excellent and a pleasure to deal with. I have no hesitation in endorsing this branch.Ken and Pauline

Extremely rude, asked if I had building regs for a partition wall. Which is completely incorrect. Valued a 3 bed flat in London at less than a studio rate. On top of that absolutely rude, unprofessional. Please if you bank/ lender has used them try to use someone else. They are awful and will treat you like you owe them something.

I received a call, when answered they hung up. So I called back to be answered by someone who was quite rude asking if I received a missed call. When asking if that was the intention for me to call back she said basically yes. This is very intrusive behaviour and therefore I would not be using such a sales orientated company!

Cancellation scam and a bunch of money hungry liars.My family have recently moved. We was going to go with Connell. They told us in person there will be no cancellation fees. We was only with them for 4 days. They are a bunch of liars. We wanted to cancel. It's been a few months now and they have only just sent an email saying we owe them. Trying to bully us into paying a cancellation fee that they said we wouldn't have to paid. You bunch of absolute liars

We contacted Taunton connells in person 22/12/23 to say we haven’t had a deposit back. They lied about emailing the landlord as the landlord confirmed he hadn’t received any emails. We explained we have no money for Christmas and a manager called mark assured us a same day payment would be raised today 23rd. They didn’t call back as promised. After calling several times they told us we won’t get the deposit till after Christmas. This has ruined our Xmas and they do not care about tenants. Avoid this agency at all costs. They don’t care about their tenants.

Booked a house valuation in September 2022. Agent from central St Albans office arrived. Promised a written valuation the following day. Nothing since. Agents from the other branch in St Albans keep phoning harassing us, six times in the last three months. Yesterday another then two more this morning. Keeping asking to take us off their list, we are not interested. Zeros stars, absolutely fecking useless. They have four properties plus a garage for sale in the borough. Clearly two offices about to close, good ridance.

Conells west bromwich. Terrible experience. Made an offer on a property and it was accepted by the homeowner. Property was never taken off the market and estate agent called Dean sneakily kept marketing the property and the homeowner then accepted a higher offer and then they wonder why everyone thinks estate agents are snakes.

Don't bother with the Lifetime mortgage service. It's a waste of money.Other brokers will not charge you until the transaction is successful and at a cheaper rate.I honestly don't know what I paid for. You can easily get the quotes free with other brokers or searching independently and with connells you still pay the admin fee each time anyway for them to do the application.The deals aren't the best on offer either. I shopped around and found better deals in other areas and I couldn't help notice most of the better deals they recommended were owners of connells.Waste of money, shop around.
