GoogleDeposit scam. I made a payment of £150 to this letting agency as a deposit for an apartment I intended to rent. Prior to initiating the application process, I explicitly informed the agent that I was self-employed and that my business tax return was not yet due. Consequently, I could only provide 12 months' worth of bank statements (both business and personal). The agent assured me that this documentation would suffice. Following this assurance, we proceeded with the application. I submitted every document requested by the letting agent’s partner(Let Alliance). A few days later, I was informed that my referencing had failed, with the stated reason being that my income was recorded as £0. This conclusion is perplexing, as my business statements clearly indicate a turnover of £125,000 for the 2023/2024 fiscal year. I subsequently requested the withdrawal of my application and the refund of my deposit. However, I was informed by the letting agent that my deposit could not be refunded, as the failure of the referencing was deemed to be my fault. The agent attempted to accuse me of providing incorrect information, stating, "If you provided your business bank statement details, then this should have been fine," evidently unaware that I had indeed submitted these documents. This situation underscores the letting agency’s lack of understanding of their referencing partner’s procedures. The agent then suggested that I contact their referencing partner(let alliance) to discuss the matter. Upon contacting Let Alliance, I discovered that they do not take business bank statements into consideration. An agent at Let Alliance confirmed, "We have seen your business bank statements, but we do not use these to make decisions." I reported these findings back to the letting agency, and the agent indicated that she would discuss the issue with their finance department. It has been an week, and I have yet to receive an update. I’m now going to open a chargeback claim with my bank as this feels like foul play.

GoogleWe agreed on the rental and at the last moment they disappeared. They just stopped answering calls and messages. I strongly do not recommend this place, you’ll only waste your time.

GoogleAmong many other issues, Bike thieves now operate in our “secure” carpark. Any low life can get in here undetected. An absolute violation of residents’ security.
