GoogleSeem to be experiencing the same problems as Richard Greer....almost identical. I will keep you updated on progress but I am now at the stage where I have had to instruct my solicitor. Very poor service. Update: After three weeks getting nowhere we are now told that Prestige Properties no longer deal with 68 Dawlish Road and we must take our argument up with the landlord (whom we have been told up until now we should not communicate with!!) In collaboration with the landlord they have lied about cleaning costs, produced bogus invoices and are nothing more than fraudsters. These people are useless, unhelpful and should be avoided at ALL costs unless you want to weeks on end getting no help and support. They take the money, that's all. They have been reported to the NUS and Birmingham University. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

GoogleExploitative and Opportunistic, avoid at all costs! Not content with charging students £81 per week for what was marketed as a 6-person house (essentially a 3 bedroom terraced house with 3 bedrooms added on) Prestige Properties tried to deduct a further charge of £785 from our £1846.75 security deposit. We left the house in a more than adequate state, even employing cleaners to adhere to the tiny communal areas such as the kitchen, bathrooms, and living room. We recently received an email, which could be considered comical if it we were not subjected to extensive fines. A culmination of £350 in late fines! Charged for the replacement of out-dated furniture which was already broken, appliances that were left clean (washing machine dirty?), charging a housemate £200 for moving out 4 hours past the deadline, and £40 for the clearance of gutters? These charges were on the back of initially moving into a house that was principally filthy with a snail infestation, the gutters were not cleared in the first place, the furniture was either on the verge of or already broken, and with out-dated appliances breaking down consistently throughout the year. We took all these insufficiencies with a pinch of salt, acknowledging the demand for accommodation near the University can allow landlords to take advantage of young people in such a manner. Adding to this, my deposit was paid 2 months after the end of my tenancy after much pressuring and unreturned phone calls, after finally can’t hold of the person responsible for handling my deposit (who I was told would ring me back asap on 4 different occasions) I received not so much as an apology, pathetic.

But we were not trying to be arrogant, we simply do not accept tenants who cannot provide occupational evidence and references due to to the safeguarding of our property and tenants.
