Not impressed at all. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband viewed 5 Stamford Road, Handsworth which was on for £230000 on Friday 19th June 2026. We were told another buyer was interested and had put an offer in. I wanted to view the property so we visited the office and spoke to Gemma Stanford. We were told an offer had been accepted and if I wanted to view what kind of offer would we be willing to put in as the vendor wanted to sell quickly and only wanted to let us view if we were going to put an offer worth his while We said £215k to £220k and could be more after viewing. An email was sent regarding this. Gemma said we can view property on Saturday 27th June 2026. We viewed Saturday an put an offer in of £217500. We got a call on Monday full and final offers. We kept our offer the same. My husband visited the office on Tuesday and Gemma said we are still waiting for a response from the vendor. I came from work and rang the office and Gemma answered. I asked any response from 5 Stamford Road. Gemma replied are you the £215k buyer. I replied no. I am the £217500 buyer. Gemma replied I was about to ring you that your offer has been accepted and you got the house as our offer was the highest. The next day my husband got a call from Gemma Stanford and was told the vendor wants to stick to the original buyer. My husband asked why and Gemma said the vendor/seller felt sorry for the first buyer. When then visited the office at 4pm Gemma said the vendor and buyer do not know each other. Everything Gemma said made no sense. We said to Gemma buyer must have put another offer and she replied yes. We then asked are we allowed to do the same. Gemma replied the Vendor does not want to go into bidding wars but you are allowed to put another offer in but vendor may not accept your offer. We put an offer of £221k and Gemma said I have sent your offer to vendor and emailed it to you. No email was sent to us we chased it up. Then the next morning an email was sent to us with our offer and house was already showing as STC. We believe our offer was not put forward. We got a call on Thursday and Gemma said the vendor was not interested in your offer and the memorandum of sale has started with original buyer. I already knew we were not going to get the house from how Gemma spoke to us and the excuses she made. There was something quite not right with this sale. We feel we were treated unfairly.

Dixons sold my uncles house for us after he had passed away. At the beginning they discussed my mother’s needs in a sensitive way. At all stages through the sale they kept my mother informed of what was going on and arranged a number of viewings which they carried out. When offers were made they were presented to us and we accepted the best offer. Just before exchange Gemma went above and beyond to keep us in the loop and also sort out the final review of the property with the buyer. I am happy to recommend Dixons for sorting out any house sale

Denise has been the most positive part of my house purchase over the last year. She supported me through my time searching for a property as well as throughout the whole purchase period when I had found one. She is experienced and knowledgable and is very personable. You can tell she has a passion to help and is fully competent in what she does. She explained every step clearly from the initial mortgage assessment until the day of completion. As a first time buyer I had limited knowledge around the whole process and Denise answered all my queries including what I should expect from solicitors as well as chasing them for me and reassuring me when I had limited contact with them. She took away the stress of the mortgage process and I felt confident in her every step of the way.

Have just completed on our property and couldn’t be happier . We were anxious and unsure about putting our house on the market but Gemma and Andy made us feel like we were in control of the process . We had input about photos and write up and the house looked great online . They did all the viewings and then when we sold, supported us through the whole process. I don't have enough words to thank Gemma and Andy from Dixons also Emma from Medway Law and the whole team iamsold auctions. My father in law wanted to sell his home of over 80 years in Great Barr. Andy came out had a chat with him and explained the various options available. After going away and chatting to my husband and myself he decided to go down the Modern Auction route. Dixons arranged for the photos of the house to be taken. We had very little to do. A start price was fixed with a no less than amount agreed. The process was so straightforward everything was amazing. The auction was live for a week and the final hour was nerve-wracking watching the auction on line. We used Medway Law as they are specialists in auction properties and everything was compled well within the time-limit of 56 days. All I can finally add is if anyone is thinking of selling a property go to Dixons and if your not sure of auction I would certainly recommend it. There was no stress for an elderly gentleman of 89 years old. THANK YOU EVERYONE IT WAS A REAL PLEASURE

Horrible experience with Andy, the other colleague are friendly and welcoming. Advice to anyone who uses their services to purchase a home - confirm every phone call and detail with an email to back it up. In réponse to Dixon's saying I'm not a customer - I was (this isn't my real name on this account) and I regret the decision to purchase a property through yourselves. In my opinion, this was nothing but headaches and when I logged a complaint - despite having emails to back up the complaint, I was told he was right! Appalling service and appalling treatment of a first time buyer - Andy ruined this experience for me. If needed - I can attached the emails to this review and people can Make up their own minds - patronizing is the right word to describe how he spoke to me.

A huge thank you to Denise - mortgage advisor at Dixons. I am a first time buyer and was ready to give up on purchasing my first house after being messed around by an online no fee broker. I am so glad I had Denise to guide me through the process. Denise set up two initial meetings with me and spent a considerable amount of time talking me through the whole process from start to finish and answered my endless questions. Denise has always been on the other end of the phone if I needed to run anything by her during my property purchase.
