Avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill Lettings, Unprofessional and Negligent We’ve rented through Brennan Ayre O’Neill for the past 14 months, and it has been a consistently frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. This review specifically concerns their lettings department, not their estate agency, as we’ve had no dealings with that side. Communication is virtually non-existent. From the beginning, responses were slow and inconsistent. At one point, they didn’t even show up for a scheduled property inspection with no notice or follow-up. This lack of reliability became a recurring issue throughout the tenancy. Maintenance issues were ignored or met with rude, dismissive responses. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered. When we raised serious concerns like damp and mould, the blame was shifted onto us, rather than any real effort made to assess or resolve the problem despite it clearly being a longstanding structural issue. Their contractors were unreliable and careless. Work was frequently left unfinished, and in some cases, contractors left rubbish dumped in the alleyway next to our property. We had to constantly chase both the contractors and the agency for updates or completion and even then, the standard of work and level of accountability was unacceptable. The staff we dealt with were often rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Once the tenancy was signed, their interest in providing any sort of professional service vanished. It felt like tenants were treated as an inconvenience rather than customers. To any prospective tenants or landlords: avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill lettings at all costs. They are unresponsive, unprofessional, and take no accountability for problems. We would never rent through them again and strongly advise others to steer clear. Our landlord has now switched letting agents and the difference in just one month says a lot about the property “management” or lack of from Brennan Ayre O’Neill.

Had used BAO several years previously to successfully sell my family home. I was delighted to find the same team in place all these years later. As before, BAO were very responsive from the start, giving me advice on the current market and being realistic with the sales price. They also helped me find a very good conveyancing solicitor. Within three days of the property being on the market, we had an offer. Lockdown 3 intervened but nothing stopped BAO ( in particular Carla), and we sold the property without a hitch. This was the easiest sale I have ever had. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to Carla and the team for their excellent service...it is so important to have someone at the end of the phone (or email) who you know is battling away for you. From start to finish the management and staff were outstanding during a long wait for our property, Tom and Emma and the other staff gave us upto date information and chased down solicitors and gave us reassurance when things were close to closing down the deal from other vendors... it is a stressful time when you have to try and balance your work/life balance whilst working away from home, and I phoned them up a lot but with there professional manor they were always polite and helpful. We had a few agents around to value our house and all talked the talk, you know the "we'll have people queuing up to buy this, infact, I have 4 people I can have round for a viewing today" spiel, but it was only Rob of BAO that actually had us a viewing within an hour of him giving us a valuation. The couple came round as soon as I told him it was fine for them to come and have a look and the next day we accepted an offer off that same couple, we couldn't believe it! The house had sold straight away without any for-sale sign or advertising etc simply because BAO were on the ball from the get go and already had the right buyers in place. We also bought our current house through BAO and again they were brilliant, they really are a cracking team, really professional, courteous and down to earth. There are slightly cheaper agents out there but really not by much, not so much so that I'd go with anyone else because I know with the team at BAO Prenton I'm getting the best service possible.PositiveProfessionalism

GAZUMPED GASUMPED GAZUMPED !!! Liz from Prenton done the viewing, told us it was her own property ! spent ages with her discussing the house , said we would be in touch In the morning which we did . She accepted our offer as we were cash buyers as she wanted a quick no mess sale ie no mortgage needed, took all the necessary details and said she would instruct Emma from bromborough office straight away ! Then we get a call off liz saying there’s been a better offer and now Emma’s dealing with everything, Emma said she agreed with me that this was wrong but it’s entirely upto the vendor Liz and that she wants to accept a better offer !!! Today I had one of the owners BAO call me to say at the end of the day everyone wants to get the best on price and sorry if you feel let down but that’s the way it is . We certainly feel we have been shafted . We looked at their reviews and seems Liz and Emma let down others in similar situations so make your own minds up before getting shafted yourselves.

This firm came recommended to me, and I used it to sell my father's flat. All the staff I came into contact with were pleasant, professional and did everything that they said they would do. Because I don't live in the vicinity of the flat in question, the office staff looked after interested parties, taking them around the flat on my behalf. I was kept regularly informed on what was going on, both by telephone and by e-mail. A sale might not have been concluded as quickly as it was if it was not for the proactive recontacting of one interested party by a member of staff (having asked for my authority to do so) when we decided the drop the sale price.
