Shocking agent. They illegal let a workman into my property while I was away who made a mess, started work without my permission, and worst of all: stole some of my stuff. They are refusing to help. All I got was a "were sorry we didn't tell you someone was coming round" email. Now they are trying to withhold my deposit. Absolute crooks.

Our Moving Process started in May 2023 and have finally just Exchanged January 2024 due to one reason or another along the chain, however throughout the whole process Lisa Cook the Sales Progressor couldn’t of done more to ensure things ran smoothly…She had such a calm and professional manner and although I may NEVER move again I would definitely recommend her to others !!!!!

This is the second time I have dealt with Miles and Barr and would highly recommend the Birchington branch. They always answer the phone and nothing is ever too much trouble. Once our house had been sold we had Debbie Mead the sales progressor. Only one word is enough for Debbie and that is 'amazing'. Every person moving house needs a 'Debbie'. She kept us up to date and was always available to answer any questions and put our minds at rest if a problem with the sale occurred. With Debbies' help we pushed our sale/purchase and move through in less than 12 weeks which in the current climate is fabulous. She was always positive and happy and cant praise her enough.

Have used M & B for 7 years to manage our rental property. Increasingly poor service as the years go by, with many staff changes in property management and a willingness to abdicate rather than own a problem or issue. A recent failure to meet a legal deadline for gas safety, was met with untold reasons and justifications as to why is was not their responsibility (my poor choice of landlord contract apparently!) and the solution in an email from M & B was for me to resolve. Always opted for the fully managed service since using M & B but we really do not receive the 'fully comprehensive management service' as advertised or promised. Untold input required from the landlord on occasions, which is time consuming and effectively contradicts having a letting agent in the first place. On the plus side the rent payments are always prompt and any discrepancies dealt with quickly and efficiently. Such a shame that the property management side of the company is so inefficient and hard work to deal with at times.
