Listed my house with Stanton in the summer of 2024, they were pretty terrible. I could never get them on the phone so not sure how potential buyers could call them? 50% of the viewings were time wasters and not vetted properly as showed no interest in my house and lastly the staff member who walked around my house on viewings was terrible, he was more interested in talking about himself than my house and asking me unrelated questions to do with my finances in front of the potential buyers, he added no value on the viewings. Before I signed he promised a long list of people who would want to see my house but ironically nothing materialised from this. One of the owners did call and apologised for the service once I took my property off them which I appreciated but other than that there was nothing positive to shout about.

Unfortunately, my husband and I were left very disheartened after our experience with them last week. On Monday last week, a house went up for sale using this company and we booked in to view the house only a few days later. They were very good and helped us to move our viewing around due to previous commitments. We loved the house and put in our offer, to which we were told needed to be higher. So, we bid a higher amount and were then told to speak to their mortgage advisor, who was absolutely amazing. He knew all of his stuff inside and out and was very helpful with the process. He gave us the all clear and told Stanton Hockett that we would have no problems either. On Friday, we waited for a phone call but felt very positive after a discussion with the agent and mortgage advisor. Unfortunately, we then didn't hear again from the estate agent until 3 days later. The mortgage advisor called us twice to see if we'd been told anything, and he then informed us that apparently the people selling had accepted an offer before we'd even gone to see the house?! I don't understand why we were even booked in then and why we bothered. He then also told us that our offer was actually higher than the other one that had been accepted. But, when the estate agent finally called us today, he said that ours hadn't been accepted and the owners were given both offers Friday - this just doesn't add up though especially if we'd put in the higher bid. It was not a good experience for us and I would never even request a viewing through them again. Very sad as the house was stunning and the mortgage advisor was absolutely fantastic.
