Maxine is amazing! We had so many issues with selling my house with another agent, and we moved over to Breckon & Breckon and Maxine took us on, made the whole experience seamless, arranging new photos, listing the property with all of the attributes that had been forgotten and did us proud. She was so helpful and answered all our questions, quickly, and really helped to push the whole process along when we got the sale. She honestly was a godsend helping us with advice, and being so accommodating with everything we needed. We cannot thank her enough, we had a such a smooth sale and process, we would recommend Breckon & Breckon and Maxine in particular to anyone selling any property in the Bicester area!

Cheryl and the team were wonderful

Cheryl and the team were wonderful. They guided me through the process, making viewings easy and straightforward, always with feedback from the viewer. They were always on hand with advice about the market and spent time and energy giving me a very personal experience. There were a few bumps and lumps down the chain when I did find a buyer but the team managed the stress positively and realistically and we managed to progress without any problems. I had a few hurdles to leap through with my purchase and Cheryl always listened and took the stress out of the situation. I would thoroughly recommend Breckon and Breckon. They give a very personal experience and a lot of support throughout what can be a nerve wracking experience. They are very knowledgeable and I felt very safe and incredibly well looked after in their hands.

We had a very positive experience working with Brooke Milner at Breckon & Breckon during the purchase of our home. Brooke was helpful, responsive and approachable throughout the process. What stood out most was that her support did not stop once the transaction was completed. Very disappointing - Avoid Breckon & Breckon Lettings

Very disappointing behaviour, Strongly advise avoiding Breckon & Breckon We have had an utterly exhausting and deeply disappointing experience with Breckon & Breckon lettings during our tenancy renewal for a property in New Hinksey. The agency demanded a rent increase of £150/month, insisting it reflected market value. Yet, their own "Best Price Guide" showed we were already paying above the local market average. Facing an artificially inflated demand, we had no choice but to serve notice to vacate, an unbelievably stressful and disruptive situation to be put through, especially with my wife being pregnant at the time. To our absolute shock, immediately after we gave notice, they re-listed the property publicly at £200/month lower than what they demanded from us, and £50/month less than our original rent. When we complained, staff initially admitted the mistake, telling us "we will of course look to rectify this". But in the end, they took zero accountability, brushing off the sudden price drop in their Final Viewpoint Letter as simple "market fluctuations" over a matter of weeks. Pushing out good, reliable tenants with misleading rent demands, only to drop the price for someone else the second we said we had to leave fells utterly rubbish (for both tenants and landlords alike). The lack of empathy and basic professionalism during an already vulnerable time for our family was appalling! We are taking this matter to The Property Ombudsman (TPO). I strongly recommend both prospective tenants and landlords to steer clear from Breckon & Breckon.

I had a delightful and seamless experience with Breckon & Breckon. I am thrilled with the flat I'm currently renting! I found this company very easy to communicate with. The whole process of viewing the property, submitting an offer, and securing the flat was very straightforward. Side note: After picking up my keys from the Breckon & Breckon office, I went to my new flat and found that they had left little courtesy packages for me. There was toilet paper and toiletries in the bathroom, and a little kitchen kit with dish soap, a tea towel, etc. in the kitchen. I found this detail very kind and welcoming. I have never experienced a letting company this thoughtful! My letting agent, Charlotte, was fantastic! She was professional and helpful. She was understanding and made everything about the rental process and the specific property easy to understand. I am very grateful to her and could not be happier with the lovely flat in which I am now living.

Illegally charging for cleaning

We are currently in a dispute over a minute fraction of our deposit, as Breckon and Breckon has charged us for cleaning despite the move in condition and move out condition being near identical. When we asked (several times over several days) for evidence that the cleaning was actually required to return it to the move-in standard, they provided us with a falsified invoice. We discovered it was false based on the metadata edit history, and the letting agent admitted in an email after this that it had in fact just been edited to change what the invoice said.

Maxine not only sold our house off market, she relentlessly pushed it through when we had a very very awkward and poor chain caused by other agencies. Without her relentlessness and willing to chase and pursue and not being afraid to ruffle feather we would not be moving. Granted their fees are slightly higher but without a doubt secured us a better sale price and made it happen without ever referring us to crappy solicitors or giving poor advice. Best decision I've made and considering I work within the industry they have passed my expectations.
