From the very first day I met Ashley Harwood from the Cirencester branch of Stutt & Parker I found that I could communicate with him, which in today’s world is not something to take for granted, he was the agent that was the closest in valuation to what the cottage archived, the price was not inflated, just realistic. Throughout the sale his support team did everything they needed to do to keep me up to date with any progress and fed back from the potential buyers, if I had another home to sell I would definitely take to Ashley and his team at Strutt & Parker.

We’ve just moved into our new home as tenants, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From our very first contact to the viewing, and right through to move-in day, everything was handled with such care and professionalism. Edward Thomson of Strutt and Parker is the real deal in a tank full of sharks in the London real estate market. His advice when I bought a short-lease apartment in Cadogan Place was invaluable. I have since gone on to refurbish the property and extended the lease to create some real value. I’d trust Ed, whether on the buy or sell side. We first met Jilly Wellman when we were considering selling our house several years ago now. We were dissatisfied with the agent at that time and found Jilly so helpful even though not her clients that we vowed to contact her in the future. We withdrew our property from the market at that time. So, having lived at our current address for 29 years we decided to sell and contacted Jilly. Obviously, out of touch with the selling process and anxious about it, Jilly was immediately reassuring and was so enthusiastic about our property and conveyed confidence in getting a sale that we took re-assurance from that. Throughout the whole process she kept in touch, put suitable people forward for viewings, answered all emails and texts promptly. She introduced her colleague who would occasionally stand in for her and showed her around. She also communicated when her colleague was doing the viewings. She assured us she would be with us every step of the way and she was. The thing that is striking is after many years doing her job she is so enthusiastic and competent and goes out of her way to be helpful and clearly loves meeting her clients. We were also very happy with the price she pitched our property at. A gem of an agent! I would also like to say how helpful and welcoming Jo Windsor and Diana Steer were in the process of our sale. In view of our experience, I would certainly recommend Strutt & Parker Estate Agents.

Cambridge rentals fiasco

This relates to the rentals service in Cambridge. We rented a house from Strutt & Parker for more than three years. They were never quick to deal with repairs and other issues, however we had a direct relationship with the owner which made life easier. When we moved out at the end of June 2024, we got the full benefit of Strutt & Parker's contempt for tenants, stunning slowness and incompetence. It took them nearly four months -- until 28 October 2024 -- to return the deposit. There was a litany of lame excuses about the time needed for estimates for some minor repairs. The reality was that it just wasn't a priority, they didn't care and they couldn't even work out which photographs attached to the contract corresponded to which actual rooms. If you rent property in Cambridge, beware this lot. Or at least be ready to suffer.
