GoogleRegent have successfully managed my buy to let for 7 years - thank you Maria and Angela, you have been fabulous. When I recently looked to sell, Regent were the obvious agents and James and Will made the whole process easy and stress-free for me. A prompt, realistic valuation and fast to market. They contacted a buyer who they knew was looking to buy in the area, and the sale was agreed within one day. I definitely recommend Regent Estates.

GoogleRegent Estates have managed our buy to let property for over 20 years. The service has always been first class and finding suitable tenants has always been one of their strongest attributes. In particular, in recent years, Maria has been outstanding in dealing with the maintenance of the property and Angela exceptional on the compliance and legal aspects. Highly recommended.

GoogleWe dealt predominantly with James the branch manager who provided an excellent responsive service the whole way through the sale. Costs were very competitive and James continually worked to keep all parties involved (us(!), our solicitor, the buyers and their solicitor) moving so that we completed as quickly and effectively .as possible

Really friendly team that are professional and reliable at seeing to any maintenance issues, the contractors they use are lovely too. My deposit was returned promptly. Thank you Regents!

GoogleThere are plenty of estate agents to choose from in Berkhamsted but in my opinion Regent Estates have to be the best. Prior to selling our mother's flat we did our research and looked at all available agents. We chose Regents after reading reviews and looking at the comparison stats which seemed to show they had something extra. Very pleased with the result. James went the extra mile to get the sale done, and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. Excellent communication throughout the process. Everything was done quickly and without delay. GoogleOur property was brilliantly marketed and we had an offer inside a week.The real value of Regent Estates came from the team especially James after the offer. We had a complex chain.Part of the chain didn't have a physical agent which is where James stepped in and smoothed out the kinks in the chain.Without his persistence with all parties I think the sale would have fallen through.We had a number of options in Berkhamstead but we are really glad we choose Regent Estates.

His level of communication and support was unwavering throughout the process. James made sure that the purchase and sale worked for everyone involved. I have been sceptical of estate agents in the past, but James couldn’t be more different to the stereotype and holds all the attributes that you want in a stressful period: fantastic communication, transparency, honesty and personable. GoogleFirst class selling agent, this is our second time in recent years and we have been delighted with the outcomes. We have known the firm for nearly 25 years and have found Tom, Rosie, James and Karen to be most professional and knowledgeable. We have used the firm to buy and sell and our negotiations were handled with great care and attention. We really now appreciate how much work goes on behind the scenes after a price is agreed, to get to exchange of contracts. That is the most demanding part for all involved and it is this that the team really excell at. You can rely on Regent Estates to manage the sale and purchase and would recommend the team, especially Rosie, to work professionally for all involved. We are delighted with our purchase and cannot thank Regents enough for what was achieved. Well done Regent Estates !

GoogleOur rental experience with Regent was bad from start to finish but I'll focus on the most alarming part. After our tenancy ended we were served with an exorbitant deposit deduction, despite paying hundreds of pounds to a professional cleaner recommended by the agency. After protesting we asked for a second quote as the first involved several improvements far beyond the scope of a repair quote. We were told this would be carried out although all communication was very laboured, often waiting weeks for Angela to respond. Eventually after chasing up several times, months later, we were told that nobody was available for a second quote and we had to accept the fee. After agreeing to pay a part of it we said we wanted to appeal the charges. After a lot of "you should just pay it - it's really reasonable" type emails eventually Angela informed us we would receive our full deposit and my housemate was asked to remove his negative Google review of the business. We accepted the return of the deposit but did not take down the review. After a week we enquired as to the whereabouts of our deposit we were told it was going to appeal, clearly a response to us not removing the review. I found the employees of this business unprofessional, and inefficient. There are plenty of other agents in Berkhamsted, I would strongly advise going with one of the others.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Very disappointed at the lack of landlord customer service, and lack of proper management of my tenant, which resulted in damage to my property which was not discovered for a prolonged period of time. I was left with huge repair costs and 3 months no rent due to sorting out the repairs , finding a new company to let and getting new tenants. All during a time I desperately needed assistance with managing my property due to being housebound and I was in financial difficulty myself. Not pleased as my opinion in hiring a management company in the first place is to avoid this worry and financial distress. I was simply given excuses for their lack of attention to my flat and concerns about the tenant.

GoogleDreadful. Had to let somewhere whilst our house was being rebuilt and unfortunately chose a property managed by these clowns. Firstly the agent was the house owner's daughter and then Tom looked after it (he was best friends with the Landlord). Rude, short and unprofessional. Looking at the recent photos, nothing that we lost our deposit for was actually replaced or fixed. I'd rather live in a tent than a property managed by these people.

GoogleAbsolutely terrible service - avoid at all costs. To start, when I viewed the property, it was with a weekend staff member who knew nothing about the facilities, parking, or any of the usual questions someone would have about a flat. Luckily for them the property was lovely and sold itself. Then, during every piece of communication following this we would have to chase repeatedly for responses to queries. When we moved in, we found out there was an ongoing issue with the water pipes for the flat which we had not been told about despite Regent knowing about this for three months prior to us moving in. Finally, after leaving the property and being in a deposit dispute, this has lasted 3 months, with us often not getting email responses back for weeks at a time, being told a second contractor quote would be obtained and never seeing any evidence of it. GoogleWe were in a bidding war for a house that Regent Estates were representing. I could tell they were really going through their paces to help the seller get the best buyer. We came second in this bidding war only being beaten by another buyer who didn't have to sell thier house. Turned out that that buyer was lying...the moment they found that out they were on the phone to me to see if we still wanted our dream house ....we did...and they helped us to move quicking on getting an offer accepted. Then when we were going through the exchange and completion we were faced with a very difficult solicitor hired by the people we were buying from (they even regretted it). Regent Estates jumped in a quite a few times to save the day and help reason with their solicitor on multiple occasions. Thank you Regent Estates!!
