YellStay away if you could help it
Twice have had to deal with them. first time when i was looking to rent, the woman who showed me around was abrupt, didnt know anything about questions i asked and was pretty keen in going home. Second time, wanted to buy a house. (Sophie) Useless at negotiating, communication or customer service and all she was thinking about was how much commission she could get out of it, not really about the service provided to the buyer.

YellPoor service and hidden clauses
I had to move away from Derby to take a job elsewhere, Hall & Benson offered a ‘free’ placement service to get a tenant.One year on:, the original tenancy agreement has expired, our tenant doesn’t like dealing with Hall & Benson staff as he finds them rude and arrogant, I have to chase the agent every month for the rent they have collected.I told Hall & Benson that I would be managing the let myself as I wasn’t happy with them. I got a really nasty email by reply telling me that I have to give 3 months notice, and they want a ‘placement fee’ equiv. to 1 months rent or they will take legal action.I am not happy with Hall & Benson, my Tenant doesn’t like them. I can’t see any good reason to recommend this company for residential lettings.

GoogleWe put our house up for sale with Hall and Benson in January and we averaged a viewing a week until May when we sold to a delightful young couple who wanted a 'forever' home. The service provided, particularly by Amy and Bonny (who has since moved on) has been exemplary, I cannot recommend them and their colleagues highly enough.

GoogleThe whole team at hall and benson was fantastic. My property was only on for a week and it had 3 offers in. They even had a buyer before it went to market. All the staff was super friendly and helped you through the whole process from start to finish.
