Having dealt with other agents in the past, their local knowledge of the DE56 market really stood out, they got the pricing right from the start, leading to a quick sale. I was so pleased with my experience of selling my home through Derbyshire Properties. It was listed very quickly and sold in one week for over the asking price. The agent Georgia was very proactive in engaging with my onward purchase estate agents helping me secure my next home despite 4 other offers on the table. Lack of communication

Our house was on the market end part of November and we didn't expect a lot of interest in November/December. On January 20th I rang up to check if the was any news. I then suggested that the price that had been given was a little over ambitious. They then said to drop the price which we did. After that price reduction we got a viewing and took an offer on the house. The house sale fell through and after that as before we was left again. No contact. We’ve been on our new home for about 3 weeks now, and we’re starting to get back to our normal routine after the disruption of the move. So I think its time reflect on our experience of buying and the selling a house in 2025, as the last time we brought a house was in 1978! The estate agent we chose to sell our house was Derbyshire Properties Belper branch( D.B.) and we also finished up buying our new home by them as well. We put our house up for sale with D.B in Early Feb of this year and within a week D.B. had gave us a valuation, took photos of the property and produced such an impressive sales listing of our property that we were seriously beginning to wonder why we are selling the house in the first place! But No our old cottage and it’s large terraced garden was getting just too much for us to cope with being as my wife and l are now both retired. D.P.posted the listing on 12th of Feb on the RightMove website. In the first week, we had three viewings resulting in three offers, two of which offered to increase their offer to our asking price. One of which we accepted. And the ‘ For Sale’ board had not even put up yet. lt was a whirl-wind experience. We’d sold our house and had not even started to look a replacement yet, To the rescue came D.P. After giving them our budget and preferences, they came up with at least 5 or more possible properties in as many days, for us to consider. We finished up buying one of their suggestions in the end. With D.B.’s skilled negotiators actually negotiating a whopping 10% discount off the asking price of the property. This facilitating the prospect of buying our new home and financing all the moving costs, solicitors fees, stamp duty and estate agents fees etc. all covered by just the sale of our old home. We can thoroughly recommend the services, of Derbyshire Properties Belper branch and wish to say a heart felt thank you to branch manager Gemma, And her teem Matt, Georgia and Sarah for their help, expert advice, ‘can do’ attitude, and going that extra mile for their clients, and for just being available to give ‘there and then’ help and advise when needed. AVOID! Absolutely disgraceful service and communication from Bev and her team in Alfreton. Firstly they shared my contact details with the exB, something they were told specifically not to do, due to ongoing and persistent abuse and a court order. Then they did it again! I informed them prior to signing any contract I would need to advertise with multiple agents - the contract given to me to sign was a 20 week sole agent, which I didn't spot, along with all sorts of financial clauses. There was a delay in listing my property, with no communication. The listing contained multiple errors, which were not corrected for weeks, until the listing was shared on social media and I highlighted the errors again. The professional photos were taken by the office sales person. I created more interest myself and through social media friends than DP did. When we eventually had a viewer, the Estate Agent arrived very late, when the viewer was leaving. The Estate Agent didn't inform me she arrived late until days, nearly a week later falsely claiming floods had caused her delay, and that she had rang the viewer to let them know, which they informed my neighbour they were annoyed she didn't turn up when appointed. When I queried the activity the estate agent claimed to be undertaking, there was no responses, yet demanded immediate replies to other emails to myself. The agent dropped my listing after I asked them to explain damaged caused to my house after the viewing, claiming my emails had "a tone" . Totally unprofessional. Definitely would not recommend or use again.

Terrible experience with this company. Poor knowledge of the situation and terrible communication skills. They actually asked "Why do you need a second viewing? Can't you just sign?" This is shocking and unethical. Georgia should not be in a role where she deals with the general public as she is that rude. Avoid and go to other estate agents.Plenty on the same road.
