We cannot rate Simon Davies, Janet Harnett & team enough. From putting the house on the market to finally, after a real stressful time, completing Simon Davies has always made himself available & gone above & beyond to find information for us & calming me, in particular, down & assuring us. When Simon Davies was away from the Office Janet Harnett has been absolutely fantastic especially leading up to final completion day whilst Simon Davies was on holiday. 5* rating is all we can give but they really deserve a 10*. We would just like to say a HUGE THANKS to the Branch Manager and all the staff who dealt with our house purchase. We found everyone to be incredibly professional. They were so calm in managing the process and so quick to communicate. They acknowledge how stressful a house move can be and try to alleviate that stress with their calm approach. Recently applied for a rental property with this company whilst being out of the country. We were aware the house was coming on the market before it was even being advertised up there, when we initially asked about the rent, we were told it would be 650 a month, we were guided by the landlord to speak with browns. When my family member asked them about the house, they were very standoffish and didn't seem very interested in our interest for it/told us we would have to wait for it to hit the market before they could tell us anymore, even though we had already been in touch with the owner of the house at this point. The house hit the market and we arranged a viewing, now the rent had gone up to 750 a month which I presume was to pad out brown's profits given that the landlord had told us it would be 100 less a month when we initially asked about the house. I arranged for a family member to go view the house for me and then filled in the appropriate forms. I was also instructed to send a deposit which I did and got hit with transfer fees and the international exchange rate. The next day i get an email back stating that they were giving the house to another interested party. It was obvious they had no intention of pursuing my application and completely wasted my time and money with me having to now get hit with the exchange rate and transfer fees twice to get my money back. They also told me via email that they had moved ahead with another applicant due to the wishes of the owner, however the owner had told us he wanted us to have the house right from before we even applied and while we were doing the viewing. Bad business from browns, go with another rental company that has some integrity.
