Where do I start? Paul Fox Estate Agents will definitely be my first choice if I am ever move house again. I recently completed the purchase of a property they were marketing, and from start to finish, I genuinely couldn’t fault the service. Taylor led the process and was outstanding throughout friendly, professional, and incredibly responsive. She kept everything on track and played a key role in ensuring exchange and completion happened promptly. Booked a viewing, couldn't do the Friday which was the first day of viewings, so their next working day was Monday, which I booked. Got a call at 2pm Friday to say the property had sold ( 7 hours on the market). And they may claim its their clients wishes but I was willing to go above asking price and they've only let down me and their client by not allowing one batch of viewings.

If I could give them a minus 1 I would! Absolute mercenaries without an ounce of pride in the job they do. We have listed our property on a modern auction style sale and it turns out they have nothing to do with it, they just passed our details to IAMSOLD which are nothing more than predators themselves! Our contact Ella, simply did not care how much we lost, she sold our property for a price that was nothing more than peanuts, and even when she sold it she made a clause in favour of the buyer!! So even now after day 56, the buyer can pull out and they will not lose their deposit! STAY AWAY FROM THIS TYPE OF AUCTION YOU WILL SEE YOUR HOUSE PRICE REDUCED TO NOTHING AND ESPECIALLY STAY AWAY FROM PAUL FOX EPWORTH AND IAMSOLD.

I booked a viewing for a property today travelled over two hours to turn up to find somebody else was viewing it who said why are we here? It is their house they’ve had an offer accepted I said well we have a viewing and then another estate agent turned up called Ben. Who is very friendly with the people who said it was their house? They had their offer accepted.Last week
When I turned up the estate agent yesterday I asked if there was any offer or any interest I was told there was an offer put forward but it was not acceptable
So then I emailed my offer before even viewing the property
And the agent who was showing this round could not even get in the key safe so my partner managed to get in the house for them so we looked around and then I confirmed my offer was willing to put it forward to a side but while I was outside I heard Ben talking to the two men who said it was their house and I heard the offer was around £20,000 less than my offer but yet I am told by the agent, they have took the offer and that is it they are going to go with the lower offer
Which all seems a bit dodgy as the people who said They had their offer accepted was very friendly with Ben and was whispering In a corner thinking I could not hear
They say it’s not what you know it’s who you know It seems very underhanded
It’s also not fair to the person who has this was as it was a repossession surely they should be trying to get the best price possible for all parties involved
My offer is cash With no Surveyors report
All parties who are viewing the property should’ve been made aware and there was offers on the table and it should’ve gone to final best offers
The first estate agent who turned up at the house was very helpful And stayed with us for us to look as he known we travelled so far
I have just been on land registry And brought the title deeds To try and find the owner To make them aware that there was a higher offer And they could’ve been walking away with a bit of money for himself after the mortgage is paid off But Due to failings they are missing out
And also just been told that I broke into the property When the window was open and the estate agent was there and he said if you can get through the window, there is a key in the kitchen as they couldn’t get in the key safe
I will now Be contacting my solicitor as this is slander. I have never been accused of breaking into anywhere in my life.

Had this company value my house over 12 months ago with a view to them listing it. Their valuation was the lowest out of the three we obtained and their costs the most expensive. Needless to say we didn’t use them and sold the property for £55,000.00 more than they valued it. Recently we have sold our current house and their extremely arrogant surveyor was employed by our buyers to carry out a survey and valuation. He valued our house much less than the offer we had accepted! Crazy as Paul Fox had the very same house on their books for sale 2 years ago £20,000.00 more than they valued it June 2025 and now it’s fully renovated too! I would avoid this company at all costs! They are arrogant and think they are the font of all in this area operating under a false sense of superiority. Definitely DO NOT recommend.

When considering house price valuations it is important to remember that the lowest valuation does not necessarily mean it is a 'poor' valuation. It reflects the experience of the valuer and their opinion of market values at the time.
In many cases a 'high' valuation could turn out to be poor advice. Often businesses will overvalue to 'seduce' customers to list their home based on a valuation that isn't market comparable. Whilst a high valuation can often look attractive it can lead to issues with the mortgage valuation upon acceptance of an offer.
It is also worth noting that house prices vary considerably over time and that a valuation 2 years ago is not necessarily indicative of a house's value today.
In respect of the survey carried out on your property, as you state above, we were instructed by the buyer not yourself. So, whilst you have chosen to comment on this aspect of our business you were not our customer on this part of the transaction.
Our Surveyor is a qualified member of the RICS and has many years of experience handling residential, commercial and land valuations. Their advice has been highly respected by multiple financial institutions and investors over the years.
Our business is a family firm, established in 1991, that prides itself on giving honest advice to buyers and sellers in all aspects of property transactions.
