TrustpilotHunters Chesterfield Road
Hunters Chesterfield Road, Sheffield.
All the people we dealt with had answers to our questions, if they didn't know at that point they would find out.
They made the whole experience of moving as easy as it could have been.

TrustpilotThis is the worst agent ever
This is the worst agent ever. All agents are known for their commitment and trustworthiness, but they lack honesty. Instead of truthfully stating the facts about the property, they always wrap things up or try to deceive the client. I had a very bad experience with this agent.

TrustpilotAppalling to Absent Property 'Management'
Absolutely appalling property 'management' - we rent from them. Every time there's an issue with the apartment, including heating, it takes months for them to fix it. We had a series of cheap incompetent and changing workmen here on individual jobs, with weeks between visits, with no resolution. It takes literally 2-4 months to get both serious and small but important items fixed. They don't return calls, don't answer the phone, cancel appointments, promise things but don't show up - just complete liars. They look like they have nice properties but once you're in there, their Stoke-Newington Property Management office is utterly negligent. Avoid at all costs. Otherwise, like us, you'll find yourself in the middle of winter, with no boiler, no hot water, no heating, which is ILLEGAL. But they do it.

TrustpilotI would give this zero stars if I…
I would give this zero stars if I could. Absolutely shocking service from the Manchester office. One of the men spoke to me as if I was a child, saying ‘I will understand when I’m older’. I firmly believe he would never speak to a male like this, misogynist isn’t a strong enough word to describe him. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.Didn’t check the flat properly before moving in, had a leaking boiler, the washing machine didn’t work, there were toe nail clippings in the bathroom and a cupboard full of mail in the kitchen. The letter box was broken it was so full of mail and we were not given a garage key, we were blamed when we told them there was no letterbox key. These all took over a month to fix. They gave us a move in date that they could not match due to their error not ours, but still were happy to blame us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the company and all staff. especially the male who thinks he can speak to women in the most horrific way. We are in the 21st century he should not get away with it!!!

TrustpilotAvoid Worcester Park Hunters at all costs!!
Avoid any dealings with this company. Perpetually bad reviews indicates it is endemic. Had the misfortune of attending a viewing with their sales negotiator who was simply rude and unapologetic for leaving a family standing in the rain, eventually answered after some 4 knocks without a word.... he stood there like a lemon. I had to ask the guy, if I could come in!! really bad - avoid at all costs... Company seems to take no responsibility either.Simply are not fit to deal with the public.

TrustpilotVery disappointed with this company
Very disappointed with this company! Put an offer in for a house and it took them over 2 weeks to even get back to me and that was me ringing them. After waiting and waiting to see if my offer had been accepted i rang them once again and and they said unfortunately it hadnt been accepted but when where they going to let me know! Will not be going through them again to buy a house. Absolutely disgusting and no courtesy to their customers what so ever!

TrustpilotHunters Ilkley - just don't
Do not let through these people. They basically treat you like a second class citizen, coming to do in person check ups once every 6 month. So invasive. The property we rented turned out to be in poor condition, really cold and drafty with many things not working properly. We were supplied with no keys for the windows or patio doors and it was so annoying to have to be in constant contact with them about what was going on. Check out process was awful, problems that were fixed throughout the tenancy were tallied up and then we were told things would be deducted from our deposit. They want us to pay to make things in good and working order when they were not in that state when we moved in. Just rent from someone else - only way to deal with these kind of people is to not do business with them, they won't change or respect you once you're on their leash.

TrustpilotAppalling (borderline fraudulent)…
Appalling (borderline fraudulent) service from Hunters Stoke Newington. I have been a tenant for over 3 years, they unlawfully held our deposit for more than 7 weeks and did not answer our many calls/emails, they have also been breaching the terms of the tenancy deposit scheme by withholding more funds than specified in our contract.I would not recommend Hunters Stoke Newington branch also would advise caution when checking out their google reviews, our negative feedback is being moderated.

TrustpilotI moved in to one of hunters…
I moved in to one of hunters properties, October last year, it seemed fine, apart from bits and bats, I recently moved out and asked for my deposit back and they came up with all sorts of problems I had left, the problems were already there when I moved in, any one renting a property off them must go through the place with a fine tooth comb and make a note of everything in front of the agent so you are not charged for it at a later date, I lost nearly all my deposit, I got £18 back, totally robbed, will never use them again, they don't care about the tenants, stay away

TrustpilotThe worst experience ever!! Leeds
The worst experience ever!!! Since I moved to the property, there was so many problems!! The water was leaking through the windows, I had no hot water for 3 weeks! For them to fix something it was taking ages because “landlord was disappearing somewhere” The washing machine was broken for a month so I had to use public laundry where they’ve paid for it but still it was very inconvenient! And for them to give my deposit back, took nearly a month. I won’t recommend.

TrustpilotHunters Redditch - disgusting
Hunters Redditch - dealings with Susanna & Tom Myself and my partner found what we thought to be our dream property however Hunters made every possible attempt to make our lives absolute hell. We went to view the property which we immediately said we wanted, it was 2 months later after a terrible ordeal with referencing due to the incompetency of Hunters that we finally got the keys. We had the whole house professionally painted straight away, I am pregnant so we were very eager to try and settle as quickly as possible and as the rooms were bright blue and yellow, it was a must to have the painting done to make it a nicer house to live in. Whilst having this done the decorator pointed out that there was a major wasp issue, I was made aware of DEAD “bees” when viewing the property however was reassured that it wasn’t a problem and they just needed vacuuming up. It was since getting the keys we realised just how severe the problem was and that Hunters had lied to us again, there were swarms of wasps in both chimneys and it was incredibly dangerous, the house was totally uninhabitable. I notified Hunter’s that we’d need Pest Control and a chimney sweep however I was totally ignored. It got to the point where our SECOND lot of rent was due and we still hadn’t been able to move in due to the wasps and Hunters had done absolutely nothing to help us. We were and still are to this day absolutely disgusted with the way we’ve been treated. The whole team at Hunters are totally incompetent and I have on record proof that we’ve been lied to on numerous occasions. We chose to hand the keys back due to the stress it was causing us, we had received legal advice and they pointed out straight away numerous inaccuracies within our contract that meant we were able to end the tenancy with immediate effect. We have lost a considerable amount of money and endured months of wasted time and stress. We have been totally disregarded by Hunters, they have been so unwilling to cooperate with us to try and solve any issue that it has led me to such a negative review. I would never ever recommend Hunters and hope that no one else has to experience what we did.

TrustpilotAll talk no action
They contacted me as they said my current estate agent was not promoting my house to its best potential.I was promised a quality service with excellent communication but as it turned out they are worse than my current estate agent .I would avoid hunters as they are clearly having serious issues across the company.

TrustpilotWast time
Wast time. After I saw the house and paid a deposit because we want to take it, they started not answering the phones or saying they were busy. They promised to contact us the next day but nothing. After several messages and contacts they told me that the house we want is not their agency-Thinq Agency. Those who read this review, please do not use the services of the Thinq Agency.Thinq Agency and Hunters are two related agencies who don't care about customers.

TrustpilotUnacceptable behaviour from a member of staff
Hunters in Thirsk were extremely rude and unprofessional with my wife because of a small misunderstand for which we apologised. They also hung up when my wife tried to explain. Awful customer service.

TrustpilotDefinitely one to avoid for buying and selling
This agent was absolutely hopeless. I was trying to buy a property they were selling...but their communication was appalling and they made me feel like a nuisance. They didnt respond to emails and on the rare occasions their phones were answered they didn't return calls. In the end I resorted to going in person to their office where I would have to wait ages and was often then met with a blank look and confusion. They seemed to want to do very little for their commission and several times tried to pass parts of their job on to my solicitors. From my point of view, as a buyer, they were inefficient, slow and seemed to have a poor understanding of the process of selling a house.....I think they did a really poor job for the vendors too.Perhaps they are brilliant at lettings?Certainly not one to buy or sell property through!

TrustpilotHunters Oldham
They never seem to give you a straight answer about the availability of properties and staff are very rude. I asked about setting up email alerts to be notified when properties come up in my area and I was told that I’m better signing up to Rightmove, not a good sign from a reputable company. The company keep properties advertised longer then they need to appear as if they’re selling more peripheries. Absolutely not efficient as a buyer so would advise sellers to steer away from them.

TrustpilotHighly recommend
Highly recommend - Steph Peart-ThomasIt has been almost a year to purchase a property, so frustrating! However, we are so lucky to have Steph as our account manager. She kept chasing seller solicitor and my solicitor, without her I would withdraw the purchase long time ago. She also shared me with my concerns. Truly helped. Highly recommend.

TrustpilotHunters letting agent
Hunters were the letting agent for a property that I rent out. My experience with them has been terrible and I have now moved to a different agent. There have been far too many problems to detail here but, if you are looking for a professional and competent letting agent, I would try somewhere else. When I complained about the problems encountered at branch level to the Head Office I was astounded that they were equally dismissive about such big failings, which shows it is an problem across the organization.

TrustpilotIncredibly disappointing
As a first time buyer, I was deeply let down and misled by the branch in Folkestone. Incredibly unprofessional service, false advertising of the property, resulting in me wasting 4 months and subsequently abandoning the process. Senior team not willing to take responsibility for their failings so at the moment escalating to the Ombudsman as I firmly believe this branch should not be in business and will be making recommendations to review their licence as my experience was incredibly poor, highlighting some shady if not illegal practices.

TrustpilotBe careful
Be careful, they are1 Rude2 Hardly ever answer calls 3 Rarely check requests on zoopla and Rightmove4 They care less about youThat was exact feedback I got from one of my friends who was looking so much in market and she finally got a house. I told her I found this property in Cookridge through hunters that I’m planning to view, she was like good luck if they ever answered you or even bothered, I didn’t believe her but she was right in every word. I left two requests through Rightmove on day of advert but no reply, called them ten times over two days no answer and left them voice message with all details, they answered after three days when I did more requests through Rightmove at last, the lady was like I have received offers no more viewings I could take your name, I tried to explain myself it’s unfair I did this and that everything you said calls voice notes online booking , she was like sorry bye, she must be joking… when you think you hit rock bottom in worst customer service, no there’s more and hunters is a live example. I wish some good people in hunters read this so they could do something about it so their work wouldn’t be undermined by their rude unprofessional colleague.

TrustpilotHunters Grimsby
Hunters Grimsby Allowed us to live in a rat infested property with a baby, two older children and a baby on the way. The landlady hid behind the agent and denied knowing about the issues even though the neighbours stated environmental health were involved. The drains didn’t work properly, parts of the house we couldn’t use yet we still had to pay a premium to live in the property. The lady that dealt with us handing our notice in was very rude and demanded money for repairs that were there when we moved in. Luckily for us we had proof or the poor state the property was in.

TrustpilotAbsolutely Pathetic Service
Pathetic, 0 ProfessionalismI wanted to rent a 2 bed flat, just after the viewing I confirmed that I will be putting the holding deposit and asked for the account details. I was informed over a text message that they will be sending the details to everyone who viewed the property on next working day. I called back at 9:00 am Monday and I was told that I will be getting the mail with account details and I should go ahead with deposit. I did the same, later to know that property is already blocked as someone did the deposit earlier than me as they received the mail on Saturday itself.Upon asking why the mail was not sent to me on Saturday like other even after confirming and why you did'nt inform about the same in our morning conversation. I was told it's of no use to go round and round, we will not give you any answers. Clearly she didn't have any answer and was not ready to accept that she preferred someone over me because of some X,Y,Z reason. If that's the professionalism of a manager, then the average review rating certainly confirms the quality you expect from this organisation.

Trustpilottreated like second class citizen
It is only my opinion, But it would appear that the vast majority of reviewers here agree, the attitude toward renters like myself and my family is in my opinion despicable they look after the Landlords interests above yours and made me feel like a second class citizen, or course you can make your own decision but when renting from Hunters, make sure you complain about any little defect from the moment you move in until the moment it is fixed, at no point let up as it will cost you later, this is of course based on my experience with them and in particular Hunters York, yours may be completely different.

TrustpilotCONDESCENDING, ARROGANT & RUDE
After speaking to Andrew at the Skipton branch i felt ever so deflated! He was condescending, arrogant and rude! He belittled me following an offer I had made on a property, he first said, pardon?? (as if it was a joke) then said he very much doubts the seller would accept anything less than the asking price, if not more, chuckling while he said this. Maybe they should state on their listings, Offers in excess of/Fixed Price? Also I did not get a fair chance at raising my offer like I was told I could at the property viewing. It’s safe to say I won’t deal with Hunters ever again and advise anyone to go elsewhere if you are looking to have a professional experience! My advice to you is, do not think you are better than anyone and perhaps you need some customer service training to ensure you do better next time!
