My experience with Foxtons has been excellent and I will definitely remember them for future flat hunts! I really couldn't recommend them enough. Their offices are also lovely places where they offer you complimentary refreshments while you wait. I'd especially like to thank Samuel Stephens at the Finchley Road office, who showed me what will now be my home for the next two years in the most beautiful building! He was kind, patient, and helped me tirelessly with all the paperwork and admin in the office after the viewing when I'd become overwhelmed and stressed by it all. He stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process and even lent a sympathetic and understanding ear when I later explained the extremely sensitive and difficult circumstances necessitating my move. For this, I also have to thank his manager, Jamal, who showed me true kindness and understanding on the same call. Thanks to them, I can now start to put things behind me and have a fresh start. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Based on my experience, I would advise new landlords to be extremely cautious with Foxtons. The agent’s explanations of commission and contract terms were unclear, and I ended up in a lengthy dispute over unexpected fees. Which is escalated to ombudsman and will probaly go to the court. Never trust a word of Foxton's agents. Always insist on written communication and carefully review all documents before signing. I would not recommend Foxtons to others based on my experience.
