We recently used the services of Chas R Lowe when selling our house to move out of the area, and can not recommend them more highly. With both the sale of our house experiencing delays due to unforeseen issues caused by our buyers which required the house to be re-marketed, as well as the purchase of our onward house falling through due to issues with our vendors resulting in us having to secure another house. However the team at Chas R Lowe were exemplary throughout, acting in both a consistent professional manner as well as being extremely supportive and friendly whenever the need arose..... which it did several times throughout the full conveyancing process. James and the team have been nothing short of brilliant. Positive and enthusiastic about the home I loved when other local agents were not and also listening to me about the amount I believed we could achieve rather than pressuring me or steering me towards an easy sale for them (i.e relying on Rightmove or Zoopla to do their job for them). They became friends and counsellors, as well as estate agents (I should know; I am a counsellor!) They kept in touch and me informed at every step of the way and really seemed to delight in my sale, as much as I did. They pointed out the shortcomings of other practices without ever bad-mouthing rival companies, which I appreciated. I have already recommended a friend (whose sale has also been achieved) and would not hesitate to do so in future.

Each agent I went in the village were helpful. This tatty place well was empty, could have robbed the place until a lady and a very tall man come out of a door, giggling. Such lady walked to a desk, I was surprised cos she looked a cleaner. Tall man reluctantly took my details telling me that landlords will not take ‘my type’. I’ve found out from the local pub they’ve been there a long time. Some had nothing good to say but that is for a different day. I just felt I had to write as they made me feel like I was worth nothing and could bring them no business, funny enough one of their landlords told me to go there!!!

They are always willing to go the extra mile to help you, whether that’s trying to get you the best price possible or taking action to help a transaction go smoothly. They get that property transactions can be stressful and are accessible, replying quickly whenever I’ve needed to speak to them. They are patient when the process gets difficult and I’ve found their advice to be sound and reliable. Avoid at all costs! No ethics or morals. Our home which is right next to the office got struck by lightning over six weeks ago. After initially being told it would be done in a week, turns out will take at least nine months! After their insurers messed us around telling us they will reimburse us... have not honoured that at all. With young children, we are still staying in budget hotels as there have been no alternative solutions offered. There were eight families affected whom we have made a group with, who all agree that Chas Lowe has been terrible with communication and zero transparency. They advised us we lie about the number of tenants we are so we could get a property sooner. Anyway, turns out the builders did a cowboy job of the roof initially. So.... no help from them whatsoever. Before they claim not to know... this is tenant from 24A

Had the pleasure of working with Roger when I went through this agency. Having come from the US as a student, I was very worried about finding accommodations and working with an Agency that would assist me with the process as it is a lot different here than back home. No matter the issue, Roger was always prompt and amazing to talk to, and kept me in the loop when it came to questions and concerns and how the process went. He spoke to me in great detail about what to expect, handled international payment and did not fuss once when there were hiccups. We were first-time buyers, and the agents made our initial experience challenging and difficult. It was very clear that there was a good relationship between them and our seller. So much so, that when concrete issues were raised from our side, we were patronised and almost forced into exchanging as an ultimatum. Our case was dealt with by (what felt like) the whole office, which was very unprofessional and careless. Mixed messages were given throughout and lots of back-tracking. We did not go through with the purchase because of how this case was handled.
