GoogleMy experience with Dafydd Hardy and particularly my estate agent - Ela Jones was really positive. I felt Ela and the team were amazing at reassuring me and looking into things when needed. I felt that I was always kept in the loop and communicated with and I know that they did everything they could to sort things when they went a bit haywire (not due to the estate agents). Despite me calling and emailing multiple times a week, Ela and the team remained patient, friendly and polite with me which helped to ease my concerns.
I could not recommend the estate agents more and particularly Ela!

GoogleI recently completed the purchase of my first home through Dafydd Hardy, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.
Ela was brilliant from start to finish. I first viewed a property with her last year, and we discussed a few other options in the area before I eventually found the right house. Once it came up, she helped get everything moving quickly. She was always flexible and happy to arrange viewings at short notice, which made fitting everything around work a lot less stressful.
As a first-time buyer, I had no idea what to expect, but Ela guided me through the process and was always happy to answer any questions I had. The whole process took just under 9 weeks from my first enquiry and viewing to getting the keys, which was much quicker than I expected.
Communication was excellent throughout, and I always felt kept up to date without having to chase for updates. Even after completion, Ela took the time to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly, which was really appreciated.
A big thank you to Ela and everyone at Dafydd Hardy (Bangor) for all the support. I’d happily recommend them to anyone!

GoogleAbsolute Joke. Tell students to pay by certain date, then refuse to release keys because deadline is a Saturday and 'we can't see the money'. Should we just move them into your office until you sort it out!! These students now have nowhere to go. Why not give a payment deadline of a week or 2 before they pick up keys. If you tell students to pay by 1st they will pay on 31st or on 1st, many don't get paid till end of month, on top of that you have the guarantor details so realistically you're getting paid regardless. Just saying, if you have an office full of students with same issue your procedure is flawed.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand how stressful any delay on move-in day can be, and we're sorry for the frustration experienced by the students involved.
Throughout the lead-up to the tenancy start date, all members of the group received multiple emails outlining the requirement for funds to have cleared in our account. The process was provided in our initial tenancy communications and repeated in subsequent reminders.
Rent is only due on the contractual start date, therefore we can't demand tenants pay rent earlier. However, we do advise that bank transfers can take time to clear, and payments can be made before this date if they wish. In this case, payments from 3 members of the group were only made late yesterday, meaning the funds were not visible in our account when key collection began today.
Four other tenants experienced similar delays for the same reason. Once the payments cleared, keys were released immediately. The group you are referring to collected their keys after a delay of approximately one hour.
So far the majority of tenants completed the process in advance and collected their keys without issue. We appreciate that for many students this is their first experience of renting, which is why we provide detailed guidance and regular reminders throughout the process.
We are always looking at ways to improve our communication and will review how we highlight potential banking delays in future. We wish the students every success with their studies and hope they enjoy their time in the property.

GoogleThis was in 2021. For my second year at university, Dafydd Hardy were quite good at resolving issues with our student house but when i moved into a place in Ambrose Street my option changed very quickly.
The house needed a huge clean for starters, when I first moved my belongings in, it hadn't looked like it had been bothered with at all. Stains on blinds as well as dirt and dust on the windowsills, kitchen and floor. During my first night I had a message off my housemate saying there were slugs coming through to the kitchen. This was because the skirting board underneath the units were broken, allowing the slugs the get in. This happened on a few occasions and the landlord suggestion for getting rid of them was nothing more than a joke.
Unfortunately we were unable to view this house in person because of Coivd during the time, however if we were then I would have avoided this house at all costs.
Here a few things that were wrong with it:
Tap very loose in kitchen.
Desk in room is unacceptable and ready to give at any point.
Amount of dirt and stains shows it hasn't been cleaned fully.
Strange smell of animal urine in housemates room.
Microwave sparking and having to be replaced.
Damaged wood surrounding the fire place.
Kickboard loose and underneath the cabinets is basically like Arachnophobia.
Slugs coming through the kitchen.
Door to the bathroom doesn't lock.
I immediately wanted out of the house, so I called Dafyyd Hardy on multiple occasions to try and resolve this issues but they were less than helpful. Just trying to get me to stay by having the landlord "fix" the issues of the house. They weren't interested in helping me at all in finding a new place to live and when my father got involved they spoke to him like an idiot despite the fact he's been doing mortgages for over 30 years meaning he probably understands more about housing then they do. Fortunately I was able to make a deal with the landlord allowing me to move out, she did come over to resolve some of the issues regarding the house such as replacing dirty lamp shades, fixed broken door handles and even rrplaces the oven with a new one. But shouldn't this have been done before having new tenants move in?
Just appalled by it all considering how good Mike was at Dafyyd Hardy were during my second year at university. Make sure you have a full in depth look at the place you're interested in before purchasing or renting a property.

I`m happy to say I was not proven wrong.... Following the initial assessment by Paul T and Dafydd and when the house went on the market this was done professionally and efficiently with good early interest and an offer was promptly secured....
