GoogleWe met with them during a house viewing, seemed reasonably professional and friendly. However, didn’t seem to know much about the property with most of our questions coming up as I don’t know answers E.g. age of house, basic facts. Also they didn’t suggest that they’d find out for us either.
We liked the property and put in an offer. Sent all documents five times each, didn’t seem competent here. Got our survey back, beautiful house but riddled with everything from wood worm to rising damp and we withdrew our offer for them to suggest a £5k reduction?! Madness!! Steer clear and get your surveys done!!

Although we try to find out as much information from our vendors as possible, sometimes with regards to age of construction etc, we have to refer to their solicitor to confirm this information which we would certainly have done for you on request.
When the property was sale agreed, there are certain documents which we require from purchasers. You kindly sent the paperwork, however it wasn't in a format that could be opened. When the documents were re-sent in a way we could open, that was the problem solved.
A survey, be it a Level 2 or otherwise is something ourselves and a solicitor will always encourage buyers to have carried out. As is often the case with properties that aren't new builds, your survey came back with several defects. As we haven't seen the survey, I cannot attempt to put a figure on works to correct defects. However, as experienced estate agents, we are able to re-negotiate the majority of our sales if the buyer still wants to proceed. As you mentioned, we are a professional and friendly company and it is rare we cannot come to a reviewed purchase price after survey if needs be.

GoogleTried selling my house through this agency but had to ditch them for several reasons. Just to name a few, impossible to get speaking to the actual agent, they asked my tenant to host all but 1 of the viewing which i was not only angry about but then left wondering what exactly i was paying them for. They were slow to get viewings across the door, slow to chase up viewings and there were a list of other issues but i dont have all day. In the end i ditched them, went with another company that ended up charging me less, giving me a much better service and actually bothered to show buyers around themselves. This other company had my house sold in 2 months over the worst months for selling because homes independent had wasted so much time from march to Oct not doing much to sell my house during the prime time of the spring and summer months.NegativeQuality

In March 2020, we only listed 1 property with a tenant in situ. So assuming this is the same property, this review is very disappointing as I felt that the vendor and ourselves had a great relationship. The house was listed the week we were closed down due to the pandemic, however we kept in touch regularly. There are call logs between the vendor and our agent’s mobile, mostly outside of working hours over the course of the house being for sale. When we were allowed to commence viewings in July, our agents accompanied all viewers, however we had difficulty gaining access when the tenant was in the property. When the house was listed with another agent, the vendor called our estate agent and explained that they knew the new agent personally and wanted to give them the business. We wished you all the best with the house sale and indeed still do.
