I first met Dean Steyn in 2025 and worked with him for over a year to find my first property in London. I had some quite specific requirements, and Dean really understood what I was looking for. He didn’t waste my time showing me lots of properties that weren’t right, and only shortlisted ones he genuinely thought I would want to see. The property I eventually bought wasn’t actually on my original shortlist. It was in a slightly different area from where I had been looking, but because Dean knew what I wanted, he encouraged me to come and have a look. I’m so glad I trusted him on that, because the house ended up being exactly what I was looking for. Dean was also really helpful throughout the buying process: connecting me with the sellers, answering all my questions and keeping me updated on what was happening, especially as the sellers were in a chain. I’m really grateful for all his help, patience and guidance throughout the process. I ended up finding a beautiful home that I’m very happy in, and Dean played a big part in that.

Elsa at Rampton Baseley sold my BTL flat for me in July 2026; I had previously tried to sell via another agent but found them to be unresponsive once instructed. Rampton Baseley have been a total dream to work with. Selling your house is never without bumps but they’ve been so supportive every step of the way. We put our house up for sale in a pretty bad market but they didn’t give up and they found a us buyer. When our buyer’s sale collapsed and they had to pull out we ended up going back on the market and they quickly found us a new buyer that aligned with our timeline. Dean has been hugely helpful in comms between us and the buyer and getting the sale to exchange. To top it off the initial valuation they gave us on our house was spot on. They clearly know their market very well! Highly recommend them and all done with a grounded, non-salesy approach.

From the start of the process they listened to our individual requirements for selling a house while still looking after young children and were supportive of our decisions. They didn't over value the house (an old trick to lock you into a contract then force you to lower the price) and were never pushy. I felt they were honest in their strategy and know the market. We had several legitimate offers within 6 days of our first viewing. Once we had an offer, Maartje was amazing with pushing this process through to completion. Not only was she a great liaison between ourselves and our buyers, she also ensured the onward chain maintained momentum and kept us informed throughout the process. Rampton Baseley would be my top choice in the SW17 area.
