Mackenzie Way AVOID

To start off in 2023 they were excellent towards me great communications etc via email and telephone call. Then that stopped! Repairs were non existent left me 6 weeks without a working toilet saying "its not an emergency ". I had to repair it myself after waiting what seemed forever. My heating in my property is also none existent as I have only 2 working heaters in my entire flat. Emailed them to let them know that they needed replacing as they are over 50 years old and have never been replaced. For them to say send pictures etc and we will get it sorted. This was I. 2024. Still to this day I have 2 heaters working. Communication is very very poor I dont know how they pride themselves on being the best estate agents in Ayrshire when they are the worst! Thankfully my property has since been sold and been purchased by a much better landlord who has gotten rid of Mackenzie Way from managing the property as he didnt like the way they were been. By law they have to give you 48hours notice before the landlord comes out to see you. Nope I never got that I got an email on the day saying that he was coming out. Thankfully I dont have to deal with them again!

I sold my flat in Stevenston using Mackenzie Way and I could not have been happier with the service I received from Christine, Jane and the team. They were efficient and polite from day one and did everything in their power to attract viewings. Thankfully only 2 were needed to get the flat sold and the sale completed at the end of last week. Communication skills excellent, customer service excellent and always a welcome smile at the office.

What a terrible estate agents bought a flat with 6 in a block and these people r the worst I've ever dealt with they will not help out when getting work carried out in building for repairs with there rentals I must say that move 2 are outstanding especially june who deals with letting side,also cannot fault cunningham properties Craig is fantastic I have to let people know that to stay well clear of them as they r the pits.

Mackenzie Way did exactly what I wanted when selling my property:- Sold it within a reasonably quick timescale, got a sales price I was happy to accept and charged a very reasonable set amount. I can only comment on my experience with renting from this place. I have no experience with them for purchasing property. I can only assume they are much better at selling than renting. The communication was fine. Until I handed in my obligatory 30 days notice to quit. Then they were not interested at all. They wouldn't even meet me to to end of tenancy check out. They had plenty of notice, told me they'd be in touch nearer the time to arrange to give keys back. I was constantly chasing them. So apparently in 30 days they had no appointments or time to do an end of tenancy.. I find that difficult to believe. Now, I left that property immaculate. With photo and video proof from the day I got the keys to the I left that property - all time stamped. They tried to claim all sorts from my deposit. After 6 months, and them appealing at every stage, I got my deposit back in full. Which I am very happy about (and ever so slightly smug about, if I'm honest). They tried, and failed, to keep my money. Well done to Safe Deposit Scotland for seeing through the lies of these unprofessional chancers. That cash has went towards spending money for my trip to Morocco next month. Ahhhh, better luck next time, amigos!🍸 😎 ⛱️

Worst letting agency in Ayrshire

Best letting agency in Ayrshire...More like the worst! Removed by environmental health due to damp and red, black, green mould in property. Re-triggeted childhood asthma for spending 3 weeks in property. Mould, damp, slugs, unsafe electrics. Never completed repairs environmental health requested. Never apologised/compensated me even though I paid full rent from Oct - March, lost all my belongings (minus what I could take to temporary accommodation) whilst waiting to be deemed unintentionally homeless. Stress caused my physical and mental health to decline. Kieran is very passive aggressive, apparently I brought slugs from my last property, willing to antagonise especially if he is aware of mental health issues and fully discriminatory towards anyone with a disability. Hid my key under a plant pot in garden so landlords mum could enter - breaching the lease. Tried to change my lease to allow Landlords mum access. To top it all off they claimed my full deposit for 3 weeks that I lived there..and they have ruined my physical/mental health so I had no more fight to give - avoid like the plague!

Very Poor Rental Agent Service

We entrusted MacKenzie Way to manage our rental property for nearly two years, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Throughout the period, the service was consistently subpar, with one of the most frustrating issues being the need to chase them every single month to ensure our rent was paid on time. This ongoing lack of communication and follow-through led us to make the decision to change management companies.

I have known Jane and her staff for a few years, there's nothing that's to hard for them to negotiate between landlords, buyers and sellers. We recently sold our house with them and it got snapped up it wasn't a conventional deal as we sold to a couple in England and the process is completely different, I was a nervous wreck and Jane calmed me down and always put things in perspective, I believe this personal service is way above and beyond what we would have gotten if we went elsewhere and paid considerably more. If you are thinking of renting your property or putting your home on the market or buying a property look no further save your self a fortune and get the good old service that is friendly professional with personal touch that delivers excellent value for money. As a letting agent, they were helpful and knowledgeable, however it is clear that they are not very selective when it comes to landlords and unfortunately the attitudes of mackenzie way staff changed as I began to come across issues in the flat I was renting. Issues like being left with no heating and water for total of 2 months including a month over Christmas and New Year and excuses being made. Many from the landlord but they did not over rule this. Issues with landlord appearing at the flat un announced and landlord sending accusational messages. There is much more but at the moment as I am taking this further I cannot comment on these.

I'm now living in my second rental property that I've rented from Jane and her lovely team. I've never ever had an issue that Mackenzie way landlords agents haven't been able to sort out. They are loyal to their good tenants. They will do anything they can within their power, to help their clients. I totally recommend Mackenzie way if your looking for a tenancy, long or short term. They are used by many landlords. So often have lovely lets available. I give 5 🌟 to Jane and her lively team.

Terrible estate agent. I have enquired about nunerous properties and ive had to send more than 5 messages before i get a response by which time the properties have been gone (supposedly) they still show up in searches though. And one property has been listed 3 times in a year but listing does not state its only a short term rental which it clearly is
