TrustpilotI made the mistake of going with Fox and Sons, Bexhill
I made the mistake of going with Fox and Sons in May, and they turned out to be terrible. I dumped them and went with another estate agent. That would have been the end of it, and I wouldn't have left a bad review but... I specifically asked for them to remove my details from their system, and not receive any marketing. Low and behold, I started receiving marketing calls today. So, here's my review of them; Terrible photos, and I had to take my own high def' ones in the end, and even those, they managed to pixelate and screw up when they put them on the web. Even though I showed them round, they kept sending agents to viewings who hadn't been here before, and had no idea where anything was (a large sprawling property). They push all their own financial services and conveyancers, who are rubbish, and have numerous bad reviews on the internet. I had no idea who was in charge, or who I was dealing with from week to week, and they lied about their database of potential buyers. In any case, if I receive any more marketing calls from them I am reporting them to the police for harassment. Don't use them.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Kate and the team in the Lettings department at Saltash Fox and Sons. Kate,especially, provides a really personal service for the tennant find service and is ‘always on the end of a phone’ offering answers and solutions. She has been brilliant and always goes that extra mile.

I made the mistake of calling to view a house with fox and sons. I then decided not to go ahead and have not stopped receiving calls or emails since. I have repeatedly asked to be taken off their contact lists and for them to delete my data from their records but to no avail

As a potential buyer, I don't appreciate being mislead with information. I enquired about a house and was told I'd be the first to view the property, this was not the case at all and lost out because of this. The mortgage offer given was not at a good rate VS other high street providers, so would advise using them as a last resort. Plymouth Branch

My property is for sale with another estate agent. Fox and Sons have my details as they were one of the agents I invited to make a valuation. I didn't mind them phoning a few months later asking if I would reconsider and use them. I politely declined and told them I would contact them if interested and under GDPR regulations remove my data from their records. They promised to do this but have phoned again. Is this a GDPR data breach? Probably..Will I use them after this latest call? No. Will I be rude and make a complaint about a data breach if they call again? Certainly. Pushy

Just bought our like first house through fox and sons of in Eastbourne. Moving down from Croydon foxes were very helpful in talking through areas and recommending properties and found us the perfect place. Steve was super helpful getting the offer accepted and Chris was brilliant in getting us the best mortgage.Wouldn’t have this house without these guys.Mr and Mrs Richards

Trustpilotif you are a buyer avoid them
Appalling service. I had an offer accepted on an apartment in early August and as of Sept 10 had still not heard from them. Phone calls and emails go unanswered. when I finally got one of them on the phone his reaction was the immortal words - well if you need to pull out then do that. If you are a buyer avoid them like the plague

We mainly dealt with Rees at Fareham but I believe Grace sold our house , considering how busy they where with stamp duty holidays there services where perfect , A lot of chasing around on our behalf was done , Rees was extremely pleasant and did everything in his power to secure the chain quickly .

GoogleThe market for properties are unpredictable and our flat sale was time consuming . Fox and Sons {Axminster] were considerate,friendly and interested to our needs.With regular updates and guidance , the whole process was very much appreciated and we would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Applied for an MIP with local firm thinking would get a more personal service. Tried back in early July and no response for a few days so decided service was not great! Wanted a responsive service. Then decided would have another go and sent salary slips as requested to the broker 19th July. No response at all to date! Now going to go to an online national service.

Stephen and his team at fox and sons Eastbourne have been invaluable during the sale of my flat. Their persistent sales progression has helped a slightly awkward sale get over the line. I would normally be wary about using big agents such as Fox and Sons but a good local team really makes the difference.

Eastleigh branch were very helpful until we signed contract to hopefully sell our house. From then on we had 20 weeks of no communication what so ever. No one returned our calls or emails. Be very aware of them as they will not communicate with the customer and even before our contract ended we were hoping that a buyer would not come along as we felt fox & sons did not deserve the commission on the sell. We would advise anyone who is thinking of signing up with them to stay away!, do not sign a thing!!

Unethical , dishonesty and unprofessional (Hastings Branch).Had an offer accepted in February 2023 with Hastings Branch. Toby Jones(Manager) was dealing with the case. For the last 6 months we have been told that the( lease holder management company) were unable to release a lease pack because there was an outstanding debt. Since then, there's been a series of excuses with the property. Miraculously, the lease pack was released soon after our second valuation which was completed on the 24/08/23. Following the 2nd valuation Toby contacted me and informed me that some else has now made a higher offer despite the property being off market according to the offer letter. In this process we lost money for legal fees ,2 sets of valuations and time. I would not recommend the Estate agency .

We used fox& sons ( Gosport branch ) to market our rented house . They found a couple that moved in Dec 22. They assured us a credit check would be done and sent us the details of the tenants . December rent was paid which most of was used to pay the branch their fee. At the start of January 23 when rent was due tenant delayed due to financial problems , to then only pay part of the rent. This went on till May to then receive a letter to say tenants have been given " breathing space" . Unsure to what this was we went down to the gosport office to ask them could they give us more details on this . They had not heard of breathing space and was of no help whatsoever. We explained that these tenants have paid next to no rent , but they explained to us that credit checks had been done. Well , all I can say is their credit check that they had done was useless . We have lost thousands of pounds in rent . Spent hundreds getting a solicitor to get the nightmare tenants out . I would never use fox and sons as their services are really bad . Tenants are finally out leaving piles of old furniture for us to get rid of , more costs! . Your credit checks are useless !! If you had delved further with these tenants you would have easily found out they were in so much debt . Anyone looking to rent out their property I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
