From Start to finish they were with us

We're at Beacon Park Skelmersdale, under the wonderful watch of Karen, Who, yes, is a sales rep, but for us has been our Gleeson go to. The search for our new home began in early 2021. We visited many of the other developers, but Gleeson's advisors were by far the best. We settled on the development of Beacon Park, Skelmersdale. The home's advisor Karen was a pillar of strength and a wealth of information throughout the buying experience, and we had our fair share of ups and downs. Karen was never pushy and always put our best interests first. In fact, without Karen, we wouldn't have bought the house we really wanted!We moved in and generated our snag list. I'm going to be truthful with you. The list was long, about 20 in total. Plus, we moved into the development about six months into the development, and it was busy, which we expected. If we had any issues with the work on-site, we spoke to Karen, and the issue vanished. A few Jobs we had were taking longer than we would have liked, and Karen put us in touch with the wonderful Kit (Gleeson's problem solver). Kit would go above and beyond to get workmen to fix our issues, and now we have about three outstanding jobs. It's important to know that as soon as Gleeson found out there was an issue, they accepted the repair without issue and fixed it without complaint. Gleeson could have argued the fault of some of the jobs, but they never did.Every Friday, we have a large road hover come to clean the road of mud and stones, and the weekends have been silent. It's essential to listen to the Gleeson reps as they tell you what you need to do if you experience any issues. Let's face it, guys, if you're buying a house with hundreds of thousands of parts, you will have some snags. It's also worth noting that any issue we have had has been with a third party, not Gleason, and as soon as Gleeson knew of the issue, Kit rectified it. Overall I can say we have had a great experience. I would highly recommend Gleeson,Karen and Kit, Thank you 🙏

Gleeson have been communicative at all steps, put me in contact with some good companies for legal and mortgage advice too.Particularly Tina Walker as the sales rep has always been available to help answer questions and solve little hiccups or concerns with the property (even waaay out of standard hours).

We do not recommend !!! There were many corrections at home, still a lot they did not. Dirt, water, rubble, rubbish, stones in front of the house is terrible !!! Silence they don't do what they should say and that's it. They block on Facebook, delete my photos, do not respond to emails. They lost our keys, replaced the locks after 2 months, damage to the house from December to today, cabinets, doors, fungus, etc. a lot of it !!!! No no no, I'm worried what it looks like in front of the house, a nightmare !!!! We do not recommend Gleeson !!!!

Our gleeson experience

We are more than happy with our gleeson home, we reserved in february 2021 and moved in later that year on our expected date. We were kept very in the loop with our sales lady Karen who is an absolute asset to gleeson, I feel like without her this experience wouldn't have been as heart felt and personal as it was. When we moved in we did have issues I think you have to expect some sort of issues whether it's a new build or an old build but our issues were fixed in a timely manner except 1 which was irritating as it took 2 weeks i felt like there was no urgency to resolve this by site but the sales office and manager paid for an alternative until it was solved. We love everything about the style home we picked we have a huge under the stairs storage space and can even turn the bulkhead area into inbuilt wardrobes. Our garden is a good size for us, as is the house. My favourite part is our kitchen and picking what we wanted, I think I changed my mind 5 times in total so Karen Is a god send for allowing me to go back so often haha. Karen took care of us all the way through this experience whether it was good news or bad, weekly updates sometimes more as it felt she was just as excited as we were. Personally I have a lovely relationship with Karen and will be heartbroken when this estate is finished and she has to leave. I do think your experience with gleeson is dependant on area I've heard of many people with lists of issues not being sorted yet I'm very grateful ours hasn't been bad and I believe alot of that is due to Karen. We have our own 3 car drive way, we are allowed sheds within a certain size and have been blessed to have lovely respectful neighbours. My overall experience is great, I have referred several other people to buy with gleeson my brother is due to move into his house in April which is exciting. All in all I would suggest gleeson to friends and family especially any site where Karen is involved I think every sites needs Karen haha.

So I have bought a Gleesons Kerry at Linkswood Park in Rotherham. I move in April. The customer service I’ve received from the sales executive Christine has been above and beyond! She’s always answered the phone and my emails to the best of the her ability. She’s always very informative! I’ve always received photos of my house showing me the progress. The house looks amazing from what I’ve seen so far! The craftsmanship of the work looks very good. I’m so excited to move in! I would definitely recommend buying from Gleesons!

So happy with our new home on the Greencroft development. Sales advisors Dianne, Natalie and Lisa were fab and kept us informed every step of the way, always helpful and friendly sending pictures and updates. Since moving in we have dealt With Dave and Andy who again could not be more helpful. We onlyHad a few minor cosmetic defects which were resolved quickly and efficiently, and they always say hi whenever passing and checking all is ok! The site despite being under development is clean and tidy and I would recommend Gleeson to anyone looking for a new build home.

Rainsborough Park - FTB’s

Moved into our new home back in December and I have fallen completely in love! Sharon has been nothing but the best in helping us throughout the whole process, and we cannot thank her enough! Hays Park a tranquil place to be

We are in the process of buying a Gleeson home at Hays Park. Our sales lady Sarah is very approachable and never too busy to answer any of our questions as daft as some of them maybe. Paul the site manager and his team are great too. These people are contributing to making our home buying experience as smooth as possible. The area is lovely and is so peaceful. The house style we have chosen (kilkenny) is perfect for our needs and we will have a lovely back garden with lovely views. All in all a great experience for us buying our first home. I would definitely recommend Gleeson Homes to anybody who is looking at buying a new build.

So far so good with Gleesons

So far so good with our Gleesons experience. The sales lady Shelley is just awesome, so informative and kind. She talks you through everything and if you need a breather from all the info then you can get up and plod round a bit or she is more than happy to book a few appointments in. Nothing was too much trouble and made our experience all the more positive. The site man, Rick, though quite quiet, easily knows the ins and outs and shows you everything in the house. And Tony the other site guy (dont tell him i thought his name was Tom for about 2 month lol) is just as amazing! So polite and no matter what i raise on the app he turns up smiling and willing to help! Nothing has been too much trouble for him even though i feel like an idiot with some of the little niggles i had raised. For example i had a loose switch socket in the kitchen which i called Tony out for, he just tightened it up with a screw driver and i felt like such an idiot as i could have done that lol but he did it with a smile and was polite about it. Secretly i bet he thinks im a crazy Yorkshire lass and probably refers to me as that pain in his butt but you wouldn’t ever know ha ha ha. So far my experience has been great and i would recommend Gleesons to anyone because of these 3 employees. They have made a wonderful family home for us and i am thankful for that! Will miss them when they leave :-(

Rainsborough Park Phase 3

Finally moved in and settled into my new home. Completion date was always up in the air, not knowing when it would be and the time was getting closer to Christmas and still no confirmed date. Finally got the keys 22nd December (no chance of being in for Christmas). There were snagging which needed rectifying but this would be done after the Christmas break which was no issue as I wasn’t living in the house. Snagging has now all been completed. The site is still requiring finishing off where we are in terms of tarmac and footpaths but it is being addressed. Ideally a quick fix with the street lamps would be ideal as it’s very dark but we have a temporary measure at the minute. I had a pleasant buying experience just the fact that completion was up in the air for so long was frustrating as nothing could be planned or booked in which led to having an empty house for 3 weeks.O

Brilliant 1st home buying experience

From the minute I stepped foot on the Canal Walk site in Hapton I was treated exactly how I would wanted to be when looking for a 1st home, I was unsure at first as I had never purchased a property before but gleeson have made me comfortable I have made the correct choice.. The Hays Park site is great

The Hays Park site is great. They changed their site manager a while ago and the one now has a completely different way of working. Sarah in the show office is ACE nothing is too much trouble. One of our sons has reserved a house and another is waiting for releases.Sarah has always been pleased to see us and very accommodating. She answeres all questions and finds out the ones she does not know quickly.she is very knowledgeable about how the houses are built and was able to tell us all about the installation of the build stages and inspections carried out.As it is our two sons' first time buying and a completely different way to how we have ever bought a house (prior covid) she has been helpful and understanding. We have visited lots of other Gleeson home sites all over the country as far up as Tyne side and to Lincolnshire. We have all different welcomes all but one of the staff have been very welcoming even though we were only looking at the show homes and not buying on their sites; the only one may have had a bad day (everyone has them now and again). this has been dealt with swiftly by Gleeson. Thank you Sarah lovely homes at affordable prices.

M J Gleeson ignore the law

I am living in a house built by M J Gleeson in about 2005/6 and managed by Mainstay. I pay an annual fee for upkeep of communal areas but this has never been done. Letters to Mainstay result in no response, as do attempts to contact Gleeson. There is no democracy: I asked about residents' groups etc. and was just told it doesn't exist and can't be created. Eventually, in September 2020, I instructed a solicitor to buy my freehold from Gleeson and Mainstay. Nothing has happened in over a year and Mainstay and Gleeson have not met legal timescales - I've been told this is now litigious in my favour. I can't believe I'm begging two companies to give them thousands of pounds and they can't be bothered to respond or or administer it and think they are above legal precedents and deadlines.
