Suzanne bearden from the Dover branch was absolutely amazing when purchasing our first home. She kept in great contact with us, kept us updated and was honest and transparent with us through the process. Praise be to Jenny Harmes, Miles & Barr Lettings Manager, Thanet.I would have given up on the whole process of trying to rent a property through the Miles & Barr agency - from being faced with a viewings agent who knew nothing about the property, having been in the job for only 2 weeks, to THE MOST torturous on-line application process, dealing with “The Lettings Hub”, + an off-shore call centre, blah! blah! blah!- were it not for a phone call with Jenny. Knowledgeable, patient, answered all my questions - no matter how often I repeated them - and set my mind at ease.In this digital age, why has renting a property become so difficult & convoluted??!!?? Our entire lives are on-line, takes about an hour to check an individual’s bona fides: 10 days with Miles & Barr…….Jenny I rate 4 ⭐️. The rest of the renting experience with M&B, 2 ⭐️. Average 3 ⭐️.

Ramsgate have been great. Sold my late parents home and found a buyer for our home. We agreed a price on a new bungalow with Broadstairs ………and had the carpet pulled from under our feet four days later. They were still taking offers on the bungalow we agreed to buy. Will probably cost Miles and Barr two sales now. Would have been better if Ramsgate had dealt with both sale and purchase.

I bought a lovely flat recently through Miles & Barr, I was actually dreading the process as it as it can be long, boring and very frustrating. I was pleasantly surprised how painless and quick it it all was. They also introduced to really good solicitors which really helped and a member of their team (Louise Daly) was always on hand with any questions or worries I had. I can most definitely recommend Miles and Barr.

I have recently brought a property through Miles and Barr and overall my experience with them was brilliant. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to a lack of communication at the very beginning. Once the progressor Louise took over our sale, I really had nothing to complain about. People know how stressful buying a house can be but with Louise only a phone call away the stress was eased. She communicated with me regularly and no question was a silly question. I really appreciate all her help and advice she provided us with.

The team at Miles and Barr at the Deal office were initially very helpful then lost interest due to delays in selling my property. The staff did not inform me as to what was going on and this resulted in me having to pay unnecessary additional legal fees. I was also not impressed by the Sales Progressing department at Sandwich they lacked communication skills and when telephone messages were left they never returned my calls. All in all I had a very bad experience and would not recommend them to any of my friends or family, the staff lack professionalism and the services offered are not value for money.

I have just completed on my lovely new home in Ramsgate, with a seaview, thanks largely to the quick thinking of Chelsea at Miles & Barr. I had seen the house on Rightmove before but it had been snapped up already. I was viewing another property with Chelsea and happened to mention the house, she said that the house may come back on the market and fitted me in for a quick dash round (after we spent about 15 minutes trying to unlock the door). The outcome was that I got my dream house! Then came the nightmare solicitor charade, but Suzanne at M&B helped through the whole process, always at the end of the phone and a delight to deal with. Thanks to all at Miles & Barr and I would happily recommend them to any house hunters out there. Good luck.

Describing Holly's service as excellent would be an understatement. From the first moment we interacted with her she impressed us with her professionalism, friendliness and responsiveness. We were stressed about our move from London to Canterbury but dealing with Holly has made the experience significantly smoother. It is worth noting that her stellar services continued even when she had to take on an extra workload to cover for an absent colleague. She made sure to inform us of her increased workload and to direct us to where we should follow up with questions if we needed more immediate responses.Our interaction with her has reflected very positively on Miles & Barr in general. I'm also happy to say that when we had to contact someone else on the team for help - Rhian - she too demonstrated similar qualities. Our gratitude goes to both of them.

We unfortunately didn’t use Miles and Barr to sell our home, but had the pleasure of purchasing our next home through them.Throughout our experience of moving home, they demonstrated how the process should be handled, unlike our agents selling our home.In our opinion they went above and beyond. With a team, very well led by Hollie-Anna, we received weekly phone calls, giving us regular updates on what we needed to do and what we were waiting on from other parties involved.They were always on the other end of the phone, willing to speak and explain various processes and always more than willing to assist in anyway they could.

I haven't bought a property in over 40 years so was a bit rusty. Everything Miles and Barr have done for me has been excellent, from the initial introduction, both polished and professional to the updates received every ten days to let me know how the sale was going through. Any difficulties quickly remedied, I can't praise Miles and Barr enough. I would also like to praise Ben for his professionalism during the initial meeting and Shelley Webster who has kept me up to date throughout the procedure.

We asked M&B to market our house last autumn and only had a few viewers. The few viewings that did take place, we never had any feedback from the agents. For weeks on end we heard nothing from them. Earlier this year they called me suggesting we dropped the price by £10k to get in before the stamp duty concession ended. But no sale. So I cancelled the contract and put the property with a different agent. A week and a half later and we have an offer at the original (higher) asking price which we have accepted.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
