Horrendous lettings agency. It's been over 5 weeks since I've moved out and my deposit hasn't been returned, despite many promises that it will. All the agency fees and where do they go? You get dismissed at every opportunity - even by managers. The start of my tenancy should have been a flashing red light with changing the moving date around and the lackluster approach. If I owed them money there is no way this would be dragged out. Do yourself a favour and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Excellent customer service! Georgia Onions helped me with my rental property, she kept me up to date and confirmed everything via email we agreed on the phone. Only one negative, due to management availability during the upcoming bank holiday weekend, I needed travel 160 miles to get my passport verified prior to the move in - this wasn’t the best experience, but at least the team was apologetic about the issues and thankfull after I popped around with the required ID. Fingers crossed there will be no issues on the move in day.

Thank you for your positive review and for your understanding regarding our availability during the bank holiday weekend. We will be sure to pass this feedback onto the team so that we can ensure we’re providing the highest level of service we can.

This is the worst property management group i have ever seen. They mis-sold the agreement with tenant, by not disclosing the matter in full, and later cause a lot of trouble to tenant. I would suggest not to sign up property managed by Chancellors. Or if you signing up, please get all the clause clarified as they don't disclose all the terms properly. For my case they just mention tenant responsible for utilities & water in agreement as a standard clause. Never disclose a huge fixed amount of water charge applies to the property. As a responsible tenant, tried to setup water account at the beginning, however water company confirmed no account exist for that property and same informed to agent. Spent entire tenure (16 months) and nobody inform anything about water bill outstanding. 2 months after leaving the property, agent coming back with outstanding water bill part of landlord's maintenance fees, which need to be paid out. While enquiring they advised, it was not mentioned clearly to me, however this is outstanding water bill need to be cleared in time. I would have not signed the agreement at the first place if this was clearly mentioned to me at the beginning. So must say, stay away from this company.

Dreadful. Was very interested in viewing a property but they kept putting me off (couldn't make this day, didn't do weekends, no staff free etc. .etc). When I finally pinned down an appointment, they rang the morning of the viewing to say an offer had been accepted on the property. Funnily enough, I've been watching said property and it's still for sale (not STC - For Sale)!! This has now happened with another property but the estate agent in this case was more blunt. I was told they preferred viewers who had already sold their home or at least had a firm offer on it. When I persisted, she announced they'd had an offer on it anyway. You guessed it; it's still For Sale (not STC !!!). I do feel sorry for the vendors. What a shocking outfit.

Rented and bought through Chancellors - one of the worst levels of customer experience I’ve ever received! Renting they only care about annually increasing your rent but not about getting in touch with the landlord to fix any issues ... we went straight to our landlord and bypassed them. When it came to moving out - no notice or contact of a closing inspection before we left, we had to chase them. Gave us keys to the property to finalise cleaning (after a post inspection after we’d moved out!!) Then received a panic email that the new tenants were moving in that day!!! When it came to buying through them... the sales woman who showed us round the property was beyond pushy - basically making us feel like she’d say anything to get us to buy. The gentleman who kept us updated on progress during the sale struggled to do just that! Wouldn’t recommend these guys for anything.

Casey Gramson (account manager) has always been very professional and performed tirelessly and diligently especially during a challenging time with a particularly tricky client. Her communication has been seamless, and she has followed through on all issues that were raised to completion, including ensuring all works were managed efficiently. She has been very consultative and highly reliable and assisted me with all enquires. Her detailed knowledge on all aspects (legal/contractors etc)has also been greatly appreciated. Highly recommended !

This agencyin headington has been hassling me with calls for 4 months despite asking them on several occassion not to; i have never registered with them and they've obtained my details.I'm not selling a house and don't want to buy one. If i did i woud not go through them. Their tactics are appauling and if they are spending time calling likes of me then you could be wasting your fees. Have passed on complaints to leading authorties now also. Buy from elsewhere.

Two months into marketing my flat, and Chancellors have had only 2 people view it. They "don't know why" more people are not viewing. Is it just me or should Estate Agents not know how to market a property in their area? Isn't it their job to understand the market and offer advice or some kind of a plan to target suitable buyers? They are sadly lacking in the ability (or professionalism) to get back to you on any query or even keep you basically informed - apart from sending you a weekly generated email on viewing figures from Right Move. It took me from Tuesday last week until this morning (yes, a full week) to get any kind of feedback on someone who viewed my flat despite emails and phone calls and even going into the Ascot branch (and by the way all they told me this morning finally was they hadn't got in touch!!?). They didn't even offer me any feedback on what the person said or thought at the time of viewing...I have complained and asked to speak to the Area Manager as I am clearly very worried about Chancellors ability to manage the marketing of my property and sell it. I was told he'd have to call me vs the other way around, and so they wouldn't give me his number but that he'd call me this afternoon. ....And by now sadly expected, the Area Manager didn't bother to call me either!! I mean it is totally shocking! I have no faith, belief or credibility towards them whatsoever now.

I've never experienced such poor customer service as I have with Chancellors, their communication skills and ability to value a property correctly are abysmal.

Casey Gramson has always really helped me with the Property Management side of the business, as a landlord I feel happier that helping look after my house. She is professional, polite, diligent and always comes back to me she is very easy to deal with. Maddie Fox in the Ascot office is also very good from the letting side, they both have a wealth of information between them and are always available to help out.

I never believed it works this way, I was very doubtful about Bitcoin and all other online trading, I decided to risk an investment with Mrs. Rochelle Nelson, and i successfully made withdrawal in a week. after I saw testimonies of people on how good she is but I was very skeptical but she prove me wrong with my first trade and I'm so happy today, so I'm recommending her to everyone of you to invest with her and testify like me. I bought a flat from chancellors. Basically had no contact from them in the 5 months the property took to complete and my emails were ignored. When the property completed they didn't have the keys to the back door. This despite the fact they had used a key to show us outside during the viewing. Liars trying to cover up the fact they had lost keys. Would use a different more professional estate agents.

The worst possible agents I have ever had the misfortune to know. They refuse to organise any viewings to anyone other than a cash buyer ! Where do they expect you to live when your house is sold ? The rudest, most condescending, arrogant people in the world. Are chancellors trying to control the whole property market with their aggressive tactics?I would never market a property with them as they refuse to allow viewings.

I would be very careful about letting a property through Chancellors. We sadly used them for a year and found them to be of very little help. It appears that they allow tenants to damage your property whilst living there and give you zero support in claiming this money back out of the deposit. They act through a sub company called Thameside management and the staff there are neither knowledgable or helpful.
