I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road

I went to Allan&Harris on Albany Road, during my visit, Liam Tresilian made some racial comments to me that he clearly thought were humorous. He was laughing while delivering his inappropriate remarks, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort he caused. Instead of fostering a welcoming atmosphere, his comments only served to highlight the insensitivity that can sometimes be present in social interactions. This experience left me feeling deeply ashamed and very uncomfortable, as I couldn't help but question why such remarks were deemed acceptable in any context. It was disheartening to encounter such ignorance, especially in a setting where I expected to feel safe and respected. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of awareness regarding the impact of words.

The worst letting agent ever

The worst letting agent ever. They cannot manage your property and are very rude and provide the worst customer service ever. Being with this letting agent has been a nightmare, instead of helping landlords the so called letting manager Tiffany was very rude and explains she’s not a mind reader. She would never answer calls, disregard emails and also accidentally replies to a chain of emails to her colleague but includes us to say how we are ridiculous. Tiffany is so unprofessional and the service provided was appalling. We will never be using this letting agent and recommend not to use unless you want your house to be destroyed and not to have any support from the lettings agent you put your trust in to manage and maintain your property and to have the most appalling service. Stay clear and actually get your moneys worth with another agent.

The facts. -It’s a week since I asked for a home report and a viewing - I’ve had a neither. -I’ve called back - told ‘the valuer would call me to arrange’ - that’s not happened. -I was called IMMEDIATELY after I sent the enquiry - asked if I want to use their mortgage advisor and or to sell with them - I didn’t answer don’t. Yet I was phoned back so they can arrange to value my property…. I expressed annoyance at the error and lack of viewing arrangement. Since heard nothing. -FYI it’s the cottage in Rosneath that’s on sale- if no one’s coming to view it - this is why. Total farce. How can an estate agent be so disorganized at such basic stuff? He

Read the Contract!

I employed this company to sell a house. After 6 months and no sensible offers, I terminated their contract. A few months later, I sold the house through another agent, who were brilliant. However it turned out that the eventual buyers had seen the house originally several months before through Allen and Harris. The next thing I knew was their high powered solicitors demanding full payment of their selling fees, which according to their contract I have to pay indefinitely after they have sown anyone the house. This is criminal and they should be ashamed of themselves putting a clause like that in a legal contract. So beware, read all the small print. Don't use Allen and Harris as they are absolutely useless.

I recently asked for a Home Report to be e mailed, someone st their office decided to phone to arrange a viewing, they couldn’t get through because they dialed the wrong number. I explained I wanted to see the Home Report before arranging a viewing and adked, for the second time, van I have the Home Report, again this didn’t arrive, I gave it another go and still nothing happened.

Allen and Harris, WhitchurchJust put my parents house on the market with Allen and Harris and not impressed with communication at all. An Open House was arranged but on the day of the Open house no communication with either myself or my brother)who lives in the house) so I was a bit concerned. I rang the office and was told one of their colleagues should have got in touch with me to say it had been pushed back two weeks. I had not received a phone call or message of any kind. I was then told it was rearranged for two weeks later, again no communication and nothing materialised.Early days but already thinking of finding someone else to sell the house.

60% 1-star reviews at the time of writing, this should be the only red flag you need. Firstly, they mis-sold the tenancy, and assured certain facts that were conditional on my signing were true, that turned out not to be true. There is no way I would have signed the tenancy if they had not been misleading. When confronted, they made demands from me which were unreasonable, including ‘not to open the window’ of which there is only one in the apartment. Corey is especially corrupt, and the biggest scammer, stay clear as he will gaslight anyone and back track/say whatever he feels like to cover himself. Stay clear. Remember, 60% 1-star reviews. That is the majority of all reviews. Please don’t waste your time.

We previously used Allen and Harris to market our property and had a terrible experience. Today, we arranged to view a property marketed by them. I had reminder text messages confirming the viewing and when I arrived the owner said he accepted an offer 4 days ago and he was told Allen and Harris would inform anyone who had arranged to view - which they did not. Total waste of time and confirms my views.

PLEASE READ AND BEWARE! We had Allen & Harris Helensburgh Branch Manager Clayton McGuiness handle our property Sale, which initially started off in good faith with him coming to assess our property. After a thorough walk through of our property he very confidently gave us a "conservative" Offers Over starting figure we were more than happy with (his words). Clayton came across as the Consumate Professional and we were happy to be guided by his expertise. The next stage was an organised Home Report being carried out and Marketing photo shoot planned in. The date was planned for the photo shoot and the Surveyor arrived on the Monday, advising us we would have the Home Report by the Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday came and went with no Home Report. On the Friday we then had a late phone call from Clayton, who very sheepishly advised that the Home Report came in at a staggering £40,000 lower than his initial "conservative" Offers Over" starting price. To say the wind was completely taken out of our Sails would be a massive understatement. With the snowball effect this MASSIVELY impacted on our house search and bid which was by now completely blown out the water. Consequently, our House Sale and House Purchase fell though completely, leaving us more than £1000 out of pocket in Fees and bitterly disappointed. It is our opinion that either the Helensburgh Allen & Harris Branch Manager or their Surveyor, or both, are completely out of touch with the Housing market. Please tread VERY carefully when choosing your Estate Agent. : Post discussing our concerns with Allen &Harris they refuted and denied all wrong doing and firmly laid the blame at their Surveyors door, Harvey Donaldson Gibson, claiming they were out of touch with reality (A&H Branch Manager Clayton claiming long conversations trying to get them to see reason) and advising us to pursue this avenue of complaint with Harvey Donaldson Gibson. In all honesty, it was the response we expected. One blaming the other. If nothing else but experience is to be gained from this, PLEASE consider your Helensburgh Estate Agent choice carefully. Slater Hogg & Howison apparently is the way forward for Professionalism, Customer satisfaction and overall good Customer relations in Helensburgh. Do NOT be hoodwinked by unprofessional half hearted companies like Allen & Harris. Learn from our experience.

We used Allan and Harris’ mortgage advisor service. The lovely Alanna Docherty helped us with honestly everything for buying our new house. She was amazing we could not fault her. She really went above and beyond and as for many people, all the things that come with buying the house can be very confusing but Alana explained everything so well and just made the whole process stress free to be honest. She always answered any messages or query’s quick and was always so friendly and polite. Her knowledge is great as well. We are so happy with the service provided and cannot recommend Alana enough. If you are looking for a mortgage advisor she is the one, we will be using her again for future housing things. Thanks so so much again Alana 😊

Incompetent.They assured me it was a good tenant

They assured me it was a good tenant. When I received the referencing it turned out she wasn't earning enough to pay the rent, had lied about her job and salary, had seven addresses in eight years. I only learned this three days before she was supposed to move in. I stopped the deal and decided to sell. Allen and Harris still want their fee. The demand is £300 more than on the contract. Total incompetence.

So poor experience with them. Before peyment was taken, the Sequence Brooker was ringing every day. After payment made, totally change atitute. Lack of communication, no reply, ignoring, waiting forever. Because not receiving support from broker I made bad mistake pull out from property I was hoping to buy. Always been worrying when problem because this broker is not with you when really need.They change big amount of money for lifetime service. But no service after payment.

I recently sold my flat with Allen and Harris in Helensburgh. I cannot fault the professional service I received, from the Home Report, to the viewings, the offers and the sale. The agent assigned to me, Patricia Dean went above and beyond to assist me and she kept me up to date every step of the way. I could call her anytime if I had a question and she always responded promptly with a cheerful, helpful, friendly attitude. If Tricia wasn't there one of the other team members was always happy to help. Even the after care service is second to none. I cannot recommend Allen and Harris Helensburgh, and particularly Tricia, highly enough.

That’s is me again. After a very stressful negotiation with this company we decided to continue in the purchase of the apartment and couldn’t be worst. After a lack of information in the home report that builds with more than 4 floors bead to have lift by new regulations and just a few lenders accept to mortgage apartments in 5 floors without lift we got one. Lender tried 3 times to organise the service but Alen and Harris have not organised the appointment so they came to us telling the seller will put apartment back to market. Terrible service,terrible organisation, terrible customer service. Maybe now they will sell to their friend.

What a great experience we had selling our parents’ house. Allen and Harris were totally professional and took all the hassle out of selling a property which is 2 ½ hours away from me.
