GoogleHighly recommend Lime Tree Houses, very lucky to have found such a lovely house let by brilliant agents and a brilliant landlord too. Never had any issues whatsoever, Julie is pleasant to communicate with and is always very responsive should we ever need anything. We have been here a little over 4 years so far, viewing/move in process was smooth, fast and welcoming. Looking forward to (hopefully) many more years in our current property with Lime Tree.

GoogleWish I read the reviews before entering a contract with these, absolutely horrendous customer service skills from Julie, which seems to be a running theme throughout these reviews, hanging up the phone on us multiple times and straight up being lied to then refusing us a meeting to discuss matters face to face to be told everything must go through email. Read these reviews carefully before any interaction with this company as all the one star reviews we have had the exact same issues with. Poor handling of problems and even worse staff

GoogleThis is a family business and unfortunately Julie is an appaling agent, and I would never rent a property through Lime Tree Houses again because of her. She is rude, ignores questions that she finds difficult to answer and has no empathy or understanding for her tenants. She has to be right all the time. She even accused us of tampering with things in the property because she did not have the capacity to understand the problems or why they might be occurring. I find it astonishing that she has a viable business.

GoogleSince we moved in to our new property Julie has been a great help. She has kept us informed of everything and has been available when needed either via telephone or email and always gets back to us as quickly as she can. From the first viewing to the move in date everything went smoothly! Couldn’t fault her work ethic! We noticed that the flat we moved into didn’t have an oven/hob and she said she would ask the landlord if he could provide one! We moved in last week and the landlord had purchased an oven for us. We’ve been with a letting agency in salisbury and they were very unhelpful. But now we are under Lime tree and Julie we feel like valued tenants and that nothing is too much!!! Thanks Julie and team. Would highly recommend.

GoogleWe paid a holding deposit for a property. We then made arrangements for storage of our possessions, paying money in advance, and made arrangements to secure temporary accommodation (at cost again) due to there being a 17 day gap between end of our current tenancy and new.
The agent required information regarding my wife’s visa. She asked for a settlement code. Due to the delay arising from the Ukraine crisis, my wife’s visa does not yet have a settlement code, though after having confirmed with UKVI (within an hour of paying of holding deposit) that her visa was fine, UKVI gave us a form via email for the landlord/agent to send back to UKVI and gain the exact same information as the settlement code. This took us about an hour and would have represented less time this to the landlord/agent to complete. All was fine.
The next day at 1pm we received an email saying that the holding deposit was being refunded. I looked online and was aghast to see the property back on the market. No explanation was given. I tried to ring but the office had closed at 1pm.
I spoke that day with our solicitor who said the decision to cancel the agreement had no legal or technical basis, as we had more than met the financial requirements, on my salary alone, had excellent credit history and references. The only reason our solicitor could see for the refunding of the holding deposit was what they termed ‘personal policy regarding visa tenants.’ Which sounds like a polite way of describing something very ugly.
I did speak to the agent eventually and expressed this sentiment, along with my disappointment at how this was all done without the courtesy of speaking to me in person. Unprofessional and a generally shabby show.
The agent did offer some rather feeble excuses regarding being busy but became increasingly nebulous as I zeroed in on the motivation of the landlord in refunding the holding deposit.
We first saw the property on Right Move and as such I did not see the poor rating of the agent here on Google. I will take it a lesson learnt to check agent Google ratings in future, and can only advise other would be tenants to look elsewhere.

GoogleWhat should someone expect from an Estate Agent that only does lettings? A honest, consistent service with good and clear communication with honest expectations on repairs (when needed) - we are fortunate enough to say this has actually been our experience with Julie and team
Moving house is always a stressful endeavor - made a little bit less stressful when working with such a straight forward Letting Agency. We are now on our second property managed by Lime Tree Houses and can only vouch for the clear and honest process when it comes to both check-in and check out of properties, would recommend the agency to anyone!

YellAVOID!
The bungalow that was shown to me was in such a disgusting state it would have been condemned by any health and safety inspector. I thought it had either been abandoned or occupied by 3rd world squatters. The place was so foul that even Julie wouldn't touch anything. The entire place looked like it had been ransacked, yet supposedly someone was living there. Now I know why there were no internal photos on the advert. Every corner in every room was piled high with months of trash. The bath was being used to store bits of wood and other tip worthy junk. There was an ancient filthy mattress outside in the drive. Every surface was sticky and oily, the carpets and plastic flooring were as bad, sticky and soiled. The entire contents would need to have been ripped out, carpets, kitchen, bathroom cabinets included, it need to be completely gutted, fumigated and painted to bring it to a level fit for human occupation. Julie should be ashamed of herself for showing that sh**hole

GoogleAVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Have contacted the landlord and ombudsman about this letting agents.
Julie is offensively rude and Jackie isn’t much better.
None of issues raised on initial inventory were fixed by the time we moved out despite raising them many times. Any issues raised during our tenancy were ignored.
After handing in our notice, a decorator let themselves into our house stating they’d been sent by the agents with a key to let himself in. The tenancy agreement still stood at this point and did until our tenancy ended 23 days later. When calling the agency to complain about this and remind them of their duty to give us 24 hours notice as stated in the tenancy agreement. Julie was rude enough to hang up the phone as she didn’t like that she was in the wrong. When contacting both her and Jackie in reference to our complaint, both hung up on myself and my partner. Disgusting behaviour and I do not want any other tenants to suffer their unprofessionalism.
I hope the landlord thoroughly investigate as he says he will.

The worst agent I have ever dealt with. Julie the owner is rude obnoxious. after 3 years living at a property on a rolling monthly contract I requested that my 80 year old mother who has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer move in and be added to the tenancy so she could claim her benefits. Julie agreed and charged me the usual fees which I didn't have a problem with. AFTER taking the fees she informed me that we had to sign for another year.. Oh the rent has gone up by £40. Some months later I requested they did something about the mold due to mum's condition it was ignored. Long story short we moved out before the year was up, mums health was more important and time was not on our side. She fabricated issues with the checkout and I have video footage to prove this. She is making life very difficult at an already difficult time. Julie is a Prolific Liar, If you ever rent from these people document everything via email, as you will need all evidence when you move out.

GoogleLife events are rarely without problems and moving house is rarely straight forward. However, my experience of Lime Tree Houses is that they respond - quickly, efficiently and with kindness. A boiler issue was fixed the same day it was reported. Small repairs I chose to undertake myself were refunded promptly. The girls are always available at the end of the phone line. For me, it is the responsiveness that is so important. No agent can prevent issues arising - they are a fact of life. It's how they respond that's the acid test. Lime Tree have passed the responsiveness test with flying colours. Thank you.

GoogleTo be honest, the agent, Julie came across as rude, arrogant and basically obnoxious. As far as my interaction with the agent went, I had a viewing today at a property in Salisbury. When we arrived Julie looked at myself as if I'd grown an extra head and not entirely sure why.
All through the property the agent cut us off mid questions, continually looked at her watch and became more and more abrupt and aggressive with me during the 15 mins I spent looking over the property. I accidentally knocked the door to the garden and she thought it was someone else knocking and she seemed more interested in getting me out the door to let the others in (like I said there was no one it was me accidentally rattled the door).
The agent, Julie didn't want to answer any real questions either about the property, or the area. She had no idea of the tax band the property was in nor an idea on the price of parking, which ever other agent volunteered this information without needing prompting.
Baring in mind all that I've said, I liked the property so much that I asked for a offer/application sheet to fill out there and then for the property as I fell in love instantly. I was told to just simply go home and send an email, within 10 mins I was home, sent in my email and was told the property was let out 10 mins after I'd left so it was let to the next people who came by.
To be honest, trust the reviews. The agent is rude, arrogant, had something against me the moment she saw me and held that attitude right the way through the viewing. I'd never come to see a property of theirs ever again. Stay clear, stay away and avoid at all costs.

GoogleWould not recommend. Very rude woman who showed me around did not address my very legitimate concerns about repairs required on the property being viewed and gave me the impression that repairs would not be carried out. I went to many many viewings with many different estate agents as she was by far the least helpful and most disinterested, bordering on resentful.
The photos posted were years out of date and did not reflect the current state of the properties. I decided I liked one property enough despite the bad attitude of the estate agent, but was then pressured to go for another instead that I didn’t like as much being told that I was unlikely to get something better for my budget. I was told to pay my holding fee upfront before seeing the contract, something I deeply regret doing as the paper work I received was so unprofessional and poorly worded with multiple errors. When I tried to address these I was told that I must sign what they had sent me even though I felt it lacked clarity and didn’t like that the agreement was in Word so could be easily edited once I signed. It felt like once they had my money they no longer even tried and the communication was appalling with emails going unanswered or the same rote response being given.
Ultimately I became uncomfortable enough that I chose to sacrifice my holding deposit and rent elsewhere with a letting agent who were far friendlier, gave me copies of the tenancy agreement up front on the day I went to view and have been very responsive about any issues I’ve had, something I doubt I would have experienced from Lime Tree.
Based on what I experienced I absolutely wouldn’t rent with them or recommend them.

GoogleI have nothing but praise for Julie and Nikkita at Lime Tree Houses. I had to surrender my tenancy early; Julie got the landlord to agree to that the same day that I told her. A new tenant was found very quickly, and Julie repaid my deposit and a rebate on the rent very swiftly after the new tenant moved in. A pleasure to do business with!

YellDo not use! Dangerously incompetent!
Without a doubt the worst letting agent I have had the displeasure of renting with, as other reviews mention, I felt mistrust towards them from the beginning. As soon as we parted money they became rude and unhelpful. We were told that the property was available immediately which was our criteria as I had started working in the area and was moving from another county. It took almost two months to finally move in. Once we moved in a mould issue appeared and a bad one at that. This has still not been resolved despite my partner being heavily pregnant. They lay blame to corona but they had 5 months prior to lockdown to act and nothing was done despite emails and calls chasing the matter. The floor boards at the top of the stairs have collapsed completely posing a serious risk. They have failed to provide a builder despite myself offering to repair it. Claiming no one is working at these times, despite the two neighbouring properties being fully redecorates in this time. The list goes on

GoogleAs an ex-tenant of a Lime Tree Houses Property, I advise that you look elsewhere if wanting to rent or buy a property.
IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR, I DEFINITELY WOULD.
We initially viewed our property in June of 2018, where we were taken to said property by one of the two ladies that runs Lime Tree Houses, Julie Hibbs. We were led around the property briefly and it was then that we made our decision that this was the property that we wanted to move into. A few weeks later, we had made the payments towards our deposit and first 6 weeks of rent, and moved into the property. It was then that we discovered that the estate agent manager, Julie, had been kind during the viewing period, as it was clear that she wanted to fill the property and therefore was kind and approachable (as you would expect an estate agent to be), however once we had moved into the property and she had received our deposit and rent, and we were tied into our contract, that she became incredibly rude and abrupt with both myself and my other half at any instance where we made contact with her.
At first, we thought that Julie just had an issue with us, and then we thought that it may be that she does not favor the younger generation, however having read the reviews, which you can see below this one, it is clear that she is rude to everybody, which is not a good trait for somebody that wants your business. Julie’s approach to business is one where she constantly puts her nose up at anybody she has to deal with.
The other lady that works with Julie, Jackie, is quite the contrary as she is, as previously mentioned, what you would expect an estate agent to be. She is kind and understanding, and is aware of the reviews that Lime Tree Houses has received in the past regarding Julie.
Once we had moved into the property, we received our inventory which outlined all of the issues that were outstanding in the property. I write this 12 months later, and I can safely say that there are some issues that were outlined to us on day one, and the same issues that we then took into the estate agents to ask them to fix, which have still not been fixed. You should be made aware that you will be expected to pay to have your carpet professionally cleaned, as well as the oven, hob and extractor, which was not something that was mentioned to us when we moved into the property.
Both the landlord that maintains the property, and Lime Tree Houses that advertises and “helps“ the tenants (as you are not “allowed” to contact the landlord directly), are incompetent and are of almost no use whatsoever. You should be aware, before moving into the property, that any issues that you have with the property will not be fixed by the time you vacate the property.
I would strongly advise that you look elsewhere when choosing which estate agent to use for either renting or buying a property, as to say that Lime Tree Houses are a joke would be a rather large understatement.
If choosing to buy or rent a property with Lime Tree Houses, primarily look elsewhere, and if you absolutely must rent or buy with them, ensure that you ask to speak with Jackie rather than Julie, you will see why if you ever have the displeasure of meeting her.
