Ineptitude, poor communication, unwilling to engage. So initial enquiry to view a property was to put it bluntly...ignored because we didn't have our own home on the market but were quite happy to offer their own services to arrange valuation and possible use of their services to sell our home. We managed to find a way to purchase wanted property without sale of our own through use of finical advisors/equity/help from family. Again, request to view property fell on deaf ears. Numerous phone calls to the agents, no messages were ever passed on or return calls, return emails sent. Wanted to set us up with their own mortgage advisors throughout the week of trying to arrange a viewing of property. Eventually find out the property we wanted to view and had funds to make an offer on had sold the day it had been put on the market. This had NOT been declared to us, wasted time, wasted service's of a finical advisor, wasted time off work to arrange. Very very poor customer service and would not recommend unless you are a bit naive and take everything they say to you over the phone as if they knew what they are doing.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Just bought a house that was being sold by the Kidsgrove/Alsager branch. Despite our estate agents remaining open butters were working from home. I found their communication skills extremely poor. At one point my sale fell through and I was told our sellers were prepared to wait for us and had been told. When I spoke to our seller several weeks later she told us she had never been informed my sale had fallen through. So I was lied to. My advice would be to go elsewhere

The service provided by the staff at butters john bee, Alsager in the sale by auction of my late mother’s property was simply superb. I had dealings with Peter, Adele and Kate at various points in the process and they were utterly professional, clear and informative when needed, and always treated me as an individual with care and courtesy. On the basis of their advice and with their support the sale went through seamlessly and an appropriate price was realised. I recommend them with absolute confidence.

Honestly having to deal with Butters John Bee (Alsager) has been an eye opening experience of ineptitude! Let me list all the problems so far- Initially misleading us as to the demand for properties in this area. Failure to contact us within the initial 14 day cooling off period at all. Marketing the property without us signing off on the advert as discussed. Marketing the property at the wrong price and description. (we have proof). Trying to arrange viewings before any of the above issues were rectified.(again told there were people queuing to view) Failure to arrange an EPC before marketing the property as discussed and now removing the property because of this and blaming us. Recommending 'Move With Us' as a conveyancing company which purposely misquote and hide their fees in the small print The above company were rude, arrogant and incompetent. And it was left to me to cancel their services although initiated via BJB. Excuse after excuse as to why we experienced all the above but at no point did anyone think to follow up with a phone call. Failure to reply to my email wishing to discuss the above issues. Having been informed of people queuing to view, we have had 2 viewings in as many weeks. Now being told the first offer we get on the property is going to be the best and we should accept. Because I disagreed with this statement they have now terminated the agreement but are holding me to their T&C's until May! Be advised the 4 reviews that chronologically precede this one appear to be Amy and Peter rallying the troops so take them with a large pinch of salt!! If only they were this efficient marketing our property!!!

They are awful. They are not keeping us updated and have insisted on keeping 5 old photos on their website despite us having decorated the property. In fact they refused to up to date images. Other houses around the corner had a much better representation and have since sold.
