GoogleJust bought a house through Fairfax and Co and I think it was the easiest/ most stress free house purchase experience out there. Henry has been our point of contact all the way through, always happy answer the phone, questions, also book in extra viewing slots after we arranged a deal on the house for me to view it again. Never any pressure from him on anything, just a really easy pleasant experience. Many thanks!

GoogleWe went to view a house in Charlbury last summer. When we got there we found 3 other viewers all sheltering from the rain. Each of us believed that we would be viewing the house on our own. Max the estate agent was 15mins late for our (joint viewings). He didn't apologise and instead looked quite put out at having to open the door for the 6 of us. There was no attempt to show us around the property, and we left with the feeling that it wouldn't be worth bidding as we didn't want to have to deal with Fairfax. In the end we bought a house through Butler Sherbourne who were very attentive and much more polite.

GoogleMax in particular was so rude and condescending to me as the buyer. Lied about timelines/deadlines to put me under pressure (which I might have understood if I was causing a delay) which I found out after being in direct contact with the seller who said that his assertions weren't true/had not come from them. I know you want to make a sale but you can do that with integrity and honesty with the same outcome. I will never use them again while Max is there.
I am sorry to hear of your issue, however, can I assure you that we have no one of that name working for our firm nor is it how we conduct ourselves. I think you may have accidentally reviewed the wrong firm and I would invite you to remove the post. When did this incident occur? GoogleI used Fairfax to sell and buy my house and I can highly recommend them. They epittomose good old fashioned stanf]reds of care , courses and professionalism and avoid the glitzy nonsense of the big chains. Max secured the perfect house for us in Charlbury and handled the sometimes lengthy process of acquisition to our great satisfaction. And I liked being able to pop into the office and chat to `max or to Andrew Shae and Sarah who were always ready to help. And sometimes hand hold when things got hairy!

Requested a viewing this morning and he couldn't even be bothered to ask me if i am an investor and started firing there is no point unless you got cash. I mean why would i call in the first place. Also stating people who have 3 houses are bidding on it. How does that justify for this behaviour? I am an investor and have a portfolio of properties and still looking to buy more. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST TO THE PEOPLE OF CHARLBURY USE ANY ESTATE AGENTS BUT THESE.

GoogleIncredibly helpful agent Max found us a cash buyer who wanted the property for his mother. Although not the highest price it was well in excess of the asking price. We have used Fairfax before and would have no hesitation in using them again. Excellent service!
