GoogleMy partner and I bought a house in York from Paul Atkinson at Bishops in 2021. Our experience with Paul was great. Right from the first viewing, he was very friendly and open, he knew a lot about the house, it was refreshing to have questions answered on the first viewing. Paul clearly knows the area well and makes good relationships - passers by and neighbours were saying hello to him as we chatted outside the property, our friends also purchased their house from him several years ago and also had complementary things to say. During the sale Paul was helpful and quick to reply, he helped us to keep the sale moving by communicating with solicitors. Paul was kind enough to pass on contact information for tradespeople he knows, which has been an enormous help in getting our property updated. A brilliant service from a very professional and kind person. I would definitely recommend Paul.

Super professional, super polite, and has been so laid back with Zero pressure! All my other previous experience of state agents has felt like a hard sell. Paul was the opposite. Thanks

GoogleFantastic, 10/10 would recommend and will be using again. My flat was on the market with another estate agents in York (rhymes with bAshton's) for months, I had no leads or viewings. Within 2 weeks I had multiple viewings and an offer! I can’t recommend Paul highly enough.

GooglePaul Atkinson was like a ray of sunshine in our lives after 18 months of trying to sell our house with an online estate agent. Booking an appointment was easy and at the first meeting Paul explained everything including that the price was slightly too high and there was no reason why our 4 bed semi family house had not sold. We agreed a price and photos to advertise it. He also new a lot about York and the local area including schools etc. Within 2 days of the property going on to the market Paul had it sold for the asking price. He also contacted us several times during the transaction with questions from the buyer and progress of the sale. We would 100% recommend Paul and Bishops Estate Agent to sell or rent property.

As a buyer dealing with estate agents can be extremely stressful process, failure to respond to phone calls, restricted opening times, dealing with different staff. GoogleBuying and selling a house is hard...you definitely need Paul on board! From start to finish he was great at marketing the house, generating and conducting viewings, and secured an early sale from trustworthy buyers. Throughout the process he was great at communicating with us, helping with solicitors, advice and reassurance as the process unfolded. It was a real benefit dealing with him personally rather than an office of estate agents. He has a wealth of experience in the local area, is friendly and professional. We felt to be in very safe hands and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
