Worst factors ever

Worst factors ever. If they don't want to deal with you they hang up or say, I can hear you're upset. Maybe if they managed situations more effectively they wouldn't have issues. I have now called 3 times regarding non existent quarterly bills. It's an IT issue, I'll get a patch officer to call you. Not interested in their excuses, when I am calling them to get their systems sorted. Paying a management fee but no clue how to manage. Quick to send me the wrong bill though. Absolute joke of a company and should not be allowed to operate.

AVOID LOWTHER. NO STAR. ZERO

AVOID LOWTHER., Pay building insurance to this company, reported for repair to be carried, damage to roof through storms we had, slates on stairs in garden all over, this caused water damage inside roof causing water to go into living room walls and one bedroom wall. Advised to call Davies Group, reported claim sent photographs as evidence, they need Lowther to confirm the damage was caused by storms, and that’s ehy the slates came off? LOWTHERS POLICY..QUOTE.THEY NEVR CONFIRM REASON HOW DAMGED IS CAUSED? Therefore the insurance company cannot go ahead with claim, have called them numerous times, and just been ignored, spoke to agent Mathew asked to speak to manager, was told could not do this request, I advised him I needed to speak to someone who could try and solve this problem, he TERMINATED the call. Taking the further LOWTHER. Need to be looked into if this is what happens when you request a claim? AVOID AVOID. AWFUL COMPANY NON EXISTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Don't buy or rent a home factored by Lowther. *BE WARNED*

Please check that your factor is not LowtherHomes before buying a flat in a shared tenement. I wish l knew myself about factors as a new buyer. Don't make the same mistake. Lowther is a cowboy business and l have no idea why the government in Scotland has allow their criminality to go on for this long. Don't say you weren't warned. Stay away ...

If I could give zero stars, I would!

I live in a development of 4 owner occupier blocks and 2 Lowther blocks. Most of the tenants are great, but just about every time a tenant moves in or out, we end up with fly-tipping of rubbish & furniture. We’ve tried everything. Asking Lowther to write to tenants explaining how rubbish collection and recycling work. Our Factors and Residents’ Assosiation have also contacted them and asked for assistance. Nothing changes. They’ve even stopped responding to residents complaints, which means the dumping has got worse. We’ve been told to take photos by our Factors so that they can pass on the costs to them. Still they don’t pay! They’re a disgrace frankly. Something should be done about the standard of service they provide.

Poor service to customers

Poor service to customers, my grandson's flat was flooded after leaking radiator took ages to repair, they treat customers like they don't care and in the East of Scotland especially staff at all levels are remote and disinterested in helping

May be low rents but low service too

Honestly I feel 1* is stretching it for these cowboys. Happy to take your rent but when something needs done you get fobbed off with ‘oh it’s a contractor that fixes this, we can’t tell you anything’ Our security door has been broken for weeks, never fixed despite repeatedly chasing. Been told contractors have up to 30 days to fix. As a result of there negligence there has now been break ins and people have had bikes stolen from the bike storage. Given this is supposed to be a secure building, it should never have happened. Lowther ofcourse have no apology for the theft and advise they can’t be responsible for items left in the storage provided for us. Pathetic. Oh and 2nd rent increase in less than 2 years of being a tenant. I’ve cancelled my direct debit and won’t pay til I get what my rent should cover ‘a secure entry building’

I am extremely upset with the level of…

I am extremely upset with the level of customer service provided from Lowther Homes. We have had an ongoing issue for several months with Residents being trapped in Elevators and the fire brigade having to come out to rescue the people who have been trapped. We also have unsanitary living conditions at the rear of our property this has been reported to Lowthers letting agent and also complaints raised with the Customer service. All i get is Excuse after Excuse that its not there issue and to complain to Glasgow city council. I do not lease my property with Glasgow City council I lease with LOWTHER they are fast enough to take my rent payments however when it comes to cleaning up environmental and unsanitary issues at the rear of the property they want nothing to do with it. Its a shame there are over 10 kids in our building none of whom can go out to play in the back yards due to LOWTHERS NEGLIGENCE!

Partner and me moved into flat that previous owner had for years, garden was overgrown with plants trees and ivy, they claimed to have got rid of all, explains why in back garden I've spent 3 weeks killing and digging up ivy, instead of taking out nails that has been put in walls and doors throughout the property, they decided not to take them out but paint over them and try to hide them, boiler broke several times, radiators leak, had to get new front and back door, suffice to say they can't do anything and don't care so long as you pay the rent.

Tax all my life I can't get a look in with this shower......

£2.2k per flat for a communal repair…

£2.2k per flat for a communal repair for an owner-led project. With a large corner garden, I inquired in writing many times for a detailed schedule of work and as to who will cover insurance for damage, which is likely to be substantial, as my insurers quite rightly will not. My written requests have never been fully addressed, but they did manage to contact the council to start proceedings for section 50 if it is not paid. Only since the council involvement have they bothered to look into the insurance issue. I am still waiting. I agreed to pay and asked for proof of payment for what is actually being paid for to pass to my co-owner. The reply: you have our bank details, let me know when you have paid. I am greeted with an out-of-office email and I have no access to my emails to any reply that I send, but never mind, I will be back next week for a few days to eat, sleep and repeat the same scenario with you again... Except for a few occasions, the call centre handlers, I mostly find sympathetic and as helpful as they can be given their level of responsibility. Lowther-Glasgow service charges and fees for managing these projects are not providing value for money. Regrettably, their service does not meet my expectations. All Factors have a complaint procedure and code of conduct to adhere to. Details are on the scot gov website. It can be time-consuming, worth the effort if it really matters to you.

Do not buy anything that uses this company

Lowther are the worst factors I've ever used. The reviews do not lie. They take huge amounts of money and literally do nothing in return. Repairs are never carried out and you will waste months before realising this. They are corrupt, fraudulent parasites. Do not buy any house that is factored by them.

For the past 6 weeks I've been off work sick with sciatica and only get statutory sick pay.i received a letter saying I'm in arrears of under a £100 and they've added £ 540 rent charge.? I've had problems with my housing officer previously when I had to make a complaint against her regarding her aggressive approach. She sent me 5 txt messages in the one week informing me my rent was due at the end of the weeks they're not wanting to raise rent this year by over 7%.I've been waiting over a week to have 2 tiles pushed back on the roof. A couple of years ago I had an issue with my tiles on the roof, a guy came out said he needed to get his and never came back, 4 days later my ceiling collapsed due to heavy rain .it took nearly a year before I got compensated I've never met my housing officer, her names tait from the Pollok area

Absolutely disgusting people

Absolutely disgusting people. Look online, search Lowther Homes and you'll find hundreds of online reviews saying how much they are disgusted by these lying piece of crap scum. I know my words are harsh, but there are no other definition of what these people are. They will lie to you, they will refuse to do their job, they will harass you, they will drive you crazy. If you can, flee and don't have anything to do with these people;

I have been with Lowther 4 years and…

I have been with Lowther 4 years and have currently taken on custody of my niece in a one bed flat, my friend/neighbour is in a 2 bed on her own (same stair) and offered to swap. Upon putting this forward to Lowther was told they are a private landlord and don’t accommodate this and how costly it is to swap tenants etc for a company that states “we are there for our tenants” they absolutely are not! Happy to continue taking your money and offer no help/support whatsoever and in the process make u feel stupid for even thinking your request would be considered. Would not recommend. Not to mention I was initially told this can be done and bought furniture for my nieces room! I was told to contact local authorities (as if I hadn’t already done so)!

Borderline Criminals.

Borderline Criminals. We have had water leaking into the livingroom of our top floor tenement for almost 4 years. We have e had several tier 1 and tier 2 complaints upheld and even received a letter from their MD to tell us that the fault has been repaired. After receiving this letter we replaced the entire ceilings in the livingroom and bedroom at the cost of over £8000 only for the egress to resume in the same place at the next heavy rain. The whole ordeal has given my wife and I mental health issues.

Wheatley group is a disgrace I've reported anti social behaviour and the housing officer for ruby street (Ryan) does nothing and has told me he doesn't care and every time I call to contact centre they tell they a won't do anything about it these people need to be fired and replaced with people who know how to do the job, to be honest crack heads will do a better job than these clowns

1 star is a star too many for this organisation. I have emailed my patch officer 3 times in the past 2 weeks and still no reply. They are quick to take our common charges yet don't do what they're supposed to do it's a disgace, when I bought my home 14 years ago it was a lovely place but they have let it go to rack and ruin, absolutely shocking

This lot should be on Rogue Traders. I totally agree with a previous review that you can smell the contempt oozing from them. I don't know whether they are taught in the "academy" to become liars or if it's eyewatering inefficiency . Either way service is appalling. Also seems to have been drummed into housing officers NEVER let the customer speak. Talk over them as long as possible then change the subject. Shameful organisation with shameless employees.

Wish I could mark them zero every dealing I've had with them absolutely negative they don't care for people's mental health problems and they have now withdrawn a 3rd offer of accomodation in less than a year. I have just nothing good to feel or say about them as the biggest housing organisation in Glasgow they really don't care to get up to standards with a mental health crisis. Absolutely heartless company.

Absolutely awful communication

Absolutely awful communication, organisation and repairs standard. We recommend keeping everything in writing. If you phone up, the office staff answering the phone will not leave any notes or pass on your concerns. Our repairs are showing as complete and cancelled. The first repair has in fact failed 6 weeks later! (Luckily we still have the scaffolding up from the first repair, as it’s been up for at least 3 months) In terms of the second repair (water leaking) we are waiting for 2 more quotes, and after chasing said quotes we have been told that Lowther accounts have the whole repair recorded as cancelled. We would recommend contacting to the Wheatley Group (parent company) to voice your concerns as you won’t get far speaking to Lowther. Not to mention Lowther have kept up with no gutter maintenance checks this year and the guttering is now needing replaced due to negligence.

What a joke wheatleyhomes are, more like weakleyhomes. They do nothing about anti social neighbours, I have complained about my horrible, filthy, drunk of a neighbour for 7 plus years. When he's drunk, his music has my furniture vibrating, they do nothing, they pass the buck and tell me to call the police, they don't come. Now I have a new housing officer, her name is Denise, I've never met her, but in her phone call to me, she told me she started working for wheatleyhomes in Feb ,and that the music being witnessed on Christmas night, was ancient history, it only counts from Feb when she started. I'm preparing a letter to the housing ombudsman, they should know what's going on. I have a few good stories to tell, about workers from Charles Street.
