Where do I start ,Simon is cocky & overly confident of his abilities ,I certainly would not want him in my business as an employee,never mind a partner.I had to ask Alan for feedback on my property as it wasn't Forth coming ,none of staff could apologise & seemed to deflect ,apart from Alan's son .An appointment for viewing was cancelled,nobody told me,people arrived for viewings I had to start showing them around .Simon gave me very bad advice, did not measure rooms correctly& I felt my house sale wasn't a priority &was felt frustrated by always asking the team what was going on ,Alan the owner told me "if it's bad news we don't like to rely this "let's face if that is part of there job .even had to ask for epc to be done, as there didn't seem to be any rush .Simon disappeared when going got tough.I was very let down & after five weeks of unprofessional behaviour decided to remove my house from sale. McClearys claim to be the best in the area & are not cheap ,from my experience in March/ April 2025 they fall well below standards they claim to up hold..I was charged for nothing ,didn't even sign an agreement, ,beware of "3 generations of experience" ,I rest my case .

Moving home is pretty stressful, but throughout the entire process Simon in McCleary's was there to help solve issues and advice from start to finish. We spent a few months deliberating when to sell, and took Simon's advice; his local knowledge of the market is second-to-none. We'd sold in less than a week, a true testament to Simon's experience. This also shone through when we had a few hurdles to jump over, and again Simon was on the other end of the phone getting it over the line through contractors, solicitors and buyers. Straight-talking and on your side, it was clear we'd made the right choice and I wouldn't hesitate recommending McCleary's for selling!

I rented out a property from McClearys for a year. Whilst most of the process at the start was good, things went down hill towards the end. Due to extreme damp and mould conditions (at no fault of my own) I had to vacate the property before the tenancy was over. I addressed my health concerns with the council, McClearys and the landlord. The landlord obviously disputed my claims even though there was blatant evidence, the council was backlogged with work and I was in a waiting list and McClearys offered little to no support or assistance as they were being paid by the landlord. Many emails were sent backwards and forwards between myself and McClearys and they provided conflicting information. The issue reached one of the top business partners at McClearys (not naming names) and it was dealt with in a very rude and unprofessional manner. There was no duty of care and they only cared about the money. The property proceeded to be readvertised unsuccessfully which I suspect was due to its poor inhabitable condition. The council ended up getting back to me telling me the property did not have a valid certificate of fitness which was required under the private tenancies (NI) order 2006, and that I had a valid case. Unfortunately I had just moved out of the property and lost the deposit to the landlord. I will be avoiding this agency in the future.

He had our house sale agreed in just over a week and secured our new property for us in the same time. Could not have asked for a better experience, and I would highly recommend both McClearys and specifically Simon to anyone looking to sell their home or purchase a new one.

We were tenants of a property managed by McClearys for around 2 years. From arranging to view the property right through until the end of our tenancy, McClearys provided an excellent service. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional and reliable. There was a sense that the team were equally concerned with both our interests as tenants and those of our landlord. Our tenancy ran smoothly throughout and McClearys were very respectful and understanding of any needs/issues we had. Communication was prompt, clear and transparent. Having rented via many other estate agents during the last 10 years, I'd thoroughly recommend McClearys as being the best. I'd have no hesitation in buying, selling or letting through this agency.

Very disappointing the customer service from McClearys. We had put an offer down on a property (over the asking price) however the seller wanted to hold out to see if could get more money. When weeks went by, we contacted McClearys to try to get a yes or no answer from the seller(so we knew were we stood) with the house, they said they would speak to owners and let us know. They never did let us know and we were blanked! A few weeks later we called to say we were withdrawing our offer as no communication, and the girl said she would get Alan to ring us back and that didn't happen either! Very poor service and communication terrible.

Avoid. I had liked my house until they took over. My best memory was when they gave me incorrect bank details. My worst, getting home to find none of the maintainace I had begged for months had been carried out wasn't done. However their contractor had gotten dirty footprints on my bed and put a ridiculous wooden gate where there had been a perfectly good metal one. Simple repairs. Six months of back and forth which they then claimed were complete. My landlord had to get another contractor. Work was completed in less than a day. Avoid these guys.

The most horrible service I have ever had! They did not respond to any enquiries about the property. Forgot to send the form even after several calls and when we finally got the form and returned it the same day, they lost it for over a week and on the calls kept on lying that the form is being sent to the owner. After over a week they admitted they have never seen the email and the next day when I called again to see if they managed to find it, they started laughing on the phone that they just received a call from the property owner to say that they rented the property. Laughing while I was telling them that they were the ones who lost our email for over a week. I have had property rented by McClearys for over 10 years without any problems whatsoever. I find all the McClearys staff more than helpful and as I do not live close to the properties, they organise any repairs immediately without fuss or trouble. I have to question some of the reviews by tenants as it seems some are just venting their anger but not giving specific details - maybe because of damage to property which of course have to be fixed or cost of repairs taken from deposits. I can only speak for myself but as I have said I have had absolutely no problem and will remain with McClearys quality service so long as I have properties to rent.
